It's perfectally allright to give. Just follow the directions. It is for all canines.
-
Why not just give them a suitable bone to chew. No I have never fluorided my dogs teeth, never found their teeth need it. I just give chicken frames or brisket bones.
-
If your not happy with the Dry shampoos why not just bath the dog and blow dry.
-
Hi, You can feed the whole frame or the whole chook. They will soon crunch it all up. Mine do. I love it when you can buy whole chooks that are over their use by date. Cheers.

How To Introduce New Foods Sloooooowly?
oakway replied to cassie's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Yes, the vet can do tests and tell you. Before I even thought of that I would just cut down the fat. See what happens when you introduce the food more slowly. Some dogs are like some people more touchy than others with some foods. Try some brisket bones, but just give one small one first. If all goes well give another small one the next day gradually building it up. You could have also just been unlucky to have offered the two foods that your dog may have a reaction to. Good Luck. -
I think even lean beef is only about 22% protein, so by the time bone and veges are included it's got to come down from that. For my guys too high a protein % is a bigger concern than too little so they sound good to me, I wonder if they are made in WA which might mean that they won't get over here. They are made In Queensland. Hi, Are you sure you are not thinking of four legs.

Hi, I think this may just prove what I have been saying for ages. I am looking for something that is high in fat and protein and you are happy with less. All I think is,...... that different breeds of dogs have many varied and different requirements. I am sure there are plenty of foods produced to help satisfy our dogs needs.

I think they are low in protien and fat. If you are paying $5 a kilo I wount more for my money.

I have never heard of a dog getting RRV. That doesn't mean they can't. The only thing I do know that a dog gets of mosquitoes is Heart Worm.

Sounds like that you have a dog that is reacting to fat. Egg yolk.....fat Lamb flap.....fat. If you have to feed these foods, do it slowly. A little egg yolk on the dry food. A small piece of of lamb flap....maybe two of the ribs only and trim off the excess fat if their is to much. That doesnt mean trim it all off. You may have a dog with a pancreas problem....... so that will mean NO fat in the diet. -
Sounds like we all need your vet. It's a pitty that all vet's are not as forward thinking as yours. Congratulations to your vet. Cheers.

Tablets from the supermarket, chemist or health food shop would be better. The juice is not strong enough. You would have to feed her bottles of liquid. The tablets you can give a double dose to start with and continue. Sooooo much easier for you and the dog.
-
Why would you get it thinned. Owners burst a gut trying to get one to grow. It's one thing owners pride themselves on. Just groom it. Starting behind the head bring some of the coat forward and start to groom from the skin up. Use a wide tooth comb to start with ending with a normal width metal comb or slicker. Keep repeating all through the mane and bib.

The same vaccine, the same bottle, just a new label with 3 years on it. If your dog is correctally vaccinated in the first time, you should have life time protection.
-
I would get the dog to a chiropractor as soon as possible.

You may find it is called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Hi, I just went and looked at the grooming tables on e-bay and they are the normal standard, small and large that are offered at all good dog shops. I just went to e-bay and typed in dog grooming tables all categories They even had some adjustable with grooming arms.

Yes the the flap covers part of the ribs and the flank. The brisket is usually referred to as the fore chest.

I rang two vet surgeries for the the Nobivac and was told the they were not using it. However they would get it in for me if I wished to pay to pay for the whole package. (I think they may be packed in tens) I was also informed that that one surgery was using the the Nobivac Kennel Cough. Now if its good enough to use the Nobivac for K/C why not use their other vaccine. It all comes down to money in my eyes. People will learn more about the Nobivac and want to use it. They will also learn more by the promotions the company will put out and the vets once again will see the dollar losses in not vaccinating yearly.

Most oils will help peel back a sticky bandage. (Not Baby oil) Dish washing liquid is also very good. Make up remover/pads. You could also just let it wear off. Cheers

I show and I give C4. I had two done today. Both had been given C3 as babies. One is now just over three months and the other is 8 months. These dog should never need vaccinating again for the rest of their lives. But I am careful and love them dearly, so I will titre test in about four years time. I will then be guided by the results.
-
Fort Dodge have the repackaged vaccine for three years and only in their C3 range. It appears that nothing else has changed. The vet also reminded me not forget the yearly booster, so I looked him in the eye and said they will never require any more vaccine in their lives. Haha his face went bright red and then he smiled at me. He knew all about the new three year vaccine and even discussed it with me. At a guess I would say that most of the vets are aware of what's happening and are still angry over the loss of revenue. I also said ask clients to titre test and he said that would cost more, so I told him dogs will live longer lives. I don't know if it sank in but if you treat a dog for a longer period wouldn't you on the average stand to make more money.

 :thumb sup: More vaccine suppresses the immune system, it does not enhance it. If you had one die in your arms because of over vaccination had suppressed the immune system, you would all understand a lot better. :D I am currently 'nursing' my mini poodle thru an autoimmune response caused by booster vaccination. I would never ever have my dog given a booster once its had the proper regime. I had got the titre tests done & they were ok but we were going on hols & the kennel required the vac certificate. I am so sorry for you. I know what you are going through. Maybe a letter to the kennel explaining what has happened might just help get the message through to them. I can not forgive myself for what I caused. This all happened when we were all just learning about what over vaccination can do.
