oakway replied to Madge's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi, Contact the overseas airline that you will be using and they will give you the relevant information that you require. Yes it would be much easier to get a shipping agent and I am sure the airline could forward that to you also. -
Dettol and dogs don't mix. Dettol has been known to kill dogs.

Hand Held Hair Dryer Recommendations
oakway replied to Luke W's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Why not just use the hair dryer we use on our own hair. I used one for years. -
Hi, Depends where you buy them from. The supermarket ones are about 8 ins or 20cm the ones you buy in bulk are about I just measured mine a large on is 12ins or 30cm and about 7ins or 18cm at the largest girth. The small supermarket ones just look male appendages the large ones look like super dooper male appendages so we just call them dongers.

The dilution has changed, but you now need to use less. It should be 10ml to 500ml water (1ml in 50ml, 2ml in 100ml etc). Holey Moses my dogs will have the cleanest ears in all the world. In my Defense ........the vet told me. I only use it twice a year, January and June approximately. The rest of the time I just tip in metho. Lovely sweet smelling ears. Thank you for the heads up.

Um ... My Bitches Bits Look Diffrent ?
oakway replied to MonSqueek's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Could it be a urine thing. A bit strong perhaps and scalding her. It could also be a bite that is causing the swelling. Maybe a trip to the vet would help. -
MY thoughts exactly.

Tip the solution in the ear, rub the ear so that you hear a squelching sound. Let the dog shake, then clean up with cotton wool and cotton buds. The solution that I make up is 50Ml to 500ml of warm water. It used to be 30ml to but I was advised the the dose rate has gone up.

Washing Dogs (can It Be Too Often)
oakway replied to ClareL's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My dogs are washed weekly for shows along with hundreds of others. Never done them any harm. Always use TOP quality shampoo and conditioner. Rinse the dogs well. If you want to use a human shampoo and conditioner also make sure it is of the very best quality. I pay nothing under $30 for a 500 ml bottle of shampoo and a similar price for conditioner. -
This is an old one. When you are at the super market next buy a bag of carrots and toss one out to him. It will keep the dog amused and fill him up. The carrots do no harm and keep him filled up. I always try and buy the biggest carrot that I can find. Mind you, the pooper scooper will be full of carrot poo. Just keep filling the dog up on carrots.

Shampoo/conditioner/treatment Recs For Coarse Coat?
oakway replied to Georgie-boy's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
What do you feed your dog ?. Sometimes coat problems can come from what you feed. Make sure the dog is getting all the omega oils. A vitamin supplement might help also. -
Hi, I think I would be looking for another vet.

Don't worry I have baby puppies that swallow them whole.

You will find the Mars Coat King a great help.

You could try putting some cheap plain label crushed pineapple in the dogs food that usually stops it. Thousands of dogs do it. Some grow out of it some never do.
-
The most important thing is where did you purchase the pup from?????????
-
Hey woe, It could be the kibble (dry food) that is causing the staining. Dry food can cause ear infections in some breeds. Try a raw diet and you may find a big change. Good luck

One vaccination before twelve weeks and one after. Then titre if you wish to. The titre is done to prove that the dog has antibodies in the system, the quantity of the antibodies is of no consequence. When it is proved that the dog carries antibodies NO further vaccination is required. If further vaccination is given it will suppress the dogs immune system.
