  1. Or no one submitted it for inclusion. It doesn't mean someone isn't registered if they aren't on there. It's run by Sway, it's not an official ANKC list. Go and read the my first post..... I said appears to be.......and yes I know who set it up and I use it all the time to check out a lot of people. Invaluable site Sway.
  2. Neither would I under any circumstances. Is there some reason that you want have contact with the same breeding. :) Why not just contact the Golden Retriever Club and see what they may have on offer for you in shows/fun days that you could go to, to meet others.
  3. http://www.prefixsearch.com.au/
  4. I did a prefix search and there appears to no registered Prefix of that name.
  5. They walk amongst us and what's more they breed.
  6. The dog should not be in the room in the first place.
  7. Why is meeting the pup in person so important ?. :) Many of us purchase from around the world and all we see is a photo. The person's integrity that you are dealing with, I would think is more important.
  8. I have to 2nd this. Also the vet that did the lecture at the rare breeds seminar in Dec. 2013 at Durack. Does all aspects of breeding including TCI.
  9. but not tested as safe to use on breeding dogs, male or female. Just adding this info for others reading this thread. +1
  10. I agree and remember you don't need to open the mouth all the time just lift the lips to check the bite.
  11. Some dogs in Queensland where Cane Toads are bad do not have water overnight. Its tipped out so you will have live dogs in the morning. Many dogs do not have water overnight for various reasons. :)
  12. Well I don’t know what say about ticks. I thought I would like to live some where I would not have to worry about them and thought the same about Cane Toads and Snakes and Spiders that bite dogs. I first thought of Antarctica but that was far to cold for me and the dogs. Then I thought of that large building in Dubai. Thought an area on the top might be good, but then thought the dogs and I might just get blown off. New Zealand then came to mind and I thought that would be the answer, but then I just might get shaken off the Islands, so that was no good either. Ah, then what about the equator, Na, to hot and more nasties, so I have decided to do the same as you, stay here and put on the Flea products, the Tick products and keep the batteries up to scratch in the Snake Repeller's, go out at night and collect the Cane Toads. Well what more can we do..........and then we still get caught...........Good Luck. :D
  13. Why don't you do what most of us do, it's called feed by eye. It's simple, if the dog looks to fat don't feed as much, if the dog looks a bit under weight, give it some extra. It works well for most of us and if we change food and its not working after a couple of weeks, give it the flick.
  14. I'm not sure I can add any more than Jed. I have always found that breeders that show their dog/s on a regular basis can in some cases have some very nice pet puppies on offer. These breeders usually use only health tested stock (where applicable)remember they don't want problems in their lines either. In this day and age where we have rogue breeders registered with their states controlling body just breeding for profit, it is just getting so much harder for the person wanting a particular breed to know where to go. You did the right thing, you came on here and asked before you purchased, not after. Good luck.
  15. I have Staffords - there's no way I'm pointing them to DOL breeder's listings and saying go for it. :-)
  16. This is the part that bothers me the most................ "Father of pups was chosen for his exceptional temperament and colour",.............. God help the conformation.
  17. I think is well worth a read. It's up to you to make your minds. My apologies if it has been up before. http://www.parvobuster.com/blog/parvo-news/parvo-vaccinations-what-the-vet-won%E2%80%99t-tell-you
  18. Yes, Florise, it's as simple as that. I along with many on this forum live in the world of pure bred registered dogs that are shown every week where possible and many are de sexed and NOT ear branded for that simple reason, the owners do not want them to be identified as de sexed. When these bitches are passed on for what ever reason their is no ear identification which can be confusing to the new owner. And yes, to the person that asked about dogs with vasectomy's there are many that are shown and have no ear brand/tattoo for the same reason as the bitches. :)
  19. Possibly because they were being shown by their owners who did not want anybody to know. It is a requirement that ALL vets identify those that they have de sexed. But as I said many owners would not want people to know they were showing a de sexed bitch. Yes, we often come up against the odd one that the vet forgot about.
