  1. What do you need at a dog show..........A big hunk of brozed Auzzie male to cart it all around and set it all up Then we can all sit around and watch. Something like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyWPyY9wyGM
  2. The Thursday training nights are run by the Terrier Club.
  3. I am in agreement with Showdog, I think 5 years a bit early to contact breeders but not to early to start and research the breed, here and around the world. Will give you masses of time to open an account just for your new dog. Just think how much you can save in the time. If somebody had told me I would living in Tasmania three years ago I would have laughed at them. But there's me hanging on for dear life down under Victoria and loving it. Also use that dog account to go to interstate "Royals" and view the breed in differant states. Sydney Royal is coming up in few weeks.
  4. Perfectaly normal. Get used to it that's what dogs do. By the way the correct term is Australian Cattle Dog
  5. I would suggest Turkey Necks. Very lean and great for chewing.
  6. Sorry there Polomum you have been given the wrong information. Veges are full of selulose and dogs cant digest celulose. The only way to use veges with dogs is to put them through an electric juicer or pulverise them to liquid in a blender. Other than that you are just waisting your time and the carrots.
  7. Don't forget the number of dogs you have and the size of the dogs will also have a big effect on the brand of food you buy.
  8. First thing put a lock on the gate!!!!!. Try Tim Rush Yamamto Vet Surgery,Yamanto. It's on the Ipswich side of Yamanto on the oppisite side to Aldi.
  9. Hi Megz, Any chance of finding a truckie with -out a back load that may haul it back for you. Or see if anyone is driving up for the Royal and offer then half of the petrol to tow it up for you. The may want to keep their dogs in at night while Moteling.
  10. I don't think Frontline is an OP, it is Fipronil. Yes it is Fipronil. Fipronil is what I use as flea deterant on my dogs.
  11. Well my only comment is...that I think it's a bit of a bum story.
  12. Try White Rose Boarding Kennels at Walloon.
  13. Really large quantity of news papers. When she goes into labour I put towels down with news paper. As the towels become wet I remove them and replace them with dry ones. When the bitch is finished I clean out everything put a fresh lot of paper down and cover with vet bed and then she decides to have another one!!!!!!!!!! so I repeat the procedure ;)
  14. It has been well publicised in the Queensland Dogworld.
  15. The only time I have had problems is when I was kindly given a bag of Pedigree re-hydratable and then switched them over to a raw diet with no problems what so ever.
  16. I just go 9 weeks to the first mating. 9 weeks to the second mating and so on. I expect the pups some where around these dates and a bit before.
  17. I lived in Queensland till last December and the way regulations we explained was that it was throughout Queensland when the regulations was brought in. Of course many things may have happened sine then and as the regulation was not relevant to to me (no litters born) I did not pursue it.
  18. http://www.dogsqueensland.org.au/default.aspx Great new site
  19. Yep, that is the case! You can lodge the litter application but until you provide the microchip numbers for each individual puppy being registered, they will not issue registration papers. And they will also NOT accept registration applications if the dam has not been microchipped or if the dog is from one of the states where microchipping is compulsory. ellz, Does this mean that I will have to get my 5 year old micro chipped before I breed her. Micro chipping was not a thing one did when she was born. As it was purely oppional and she wasn't going anywhere I never had her done. Yes, she'll have to be chipped or you won't be able to register the litter. Thank you I, will have her done as soon as possible.

  21. Not difficult at all. A simple just letting you know the pup is doing fine and by the way is it micro chipped.
  22. I have been led to believe that here in Tasmania that you can't register your pups unless they are micro chipped. Now there's a good idea. Maybe it should be implemented all the registering bodies. NO micro chip NO registration.
