Thanks Raj. Got her in the whelping box now. She certainly had the look of what is that, where did he come from but now she's giving him licks and realised my boy

a little boy

No it's burgandy leather and she wants the first one on it so I'll move her to the box once a pup is born. Hopefully! Waters have broke. Oh and the time of day is perfect! I am lucky.

Yes she is contracting. Seems relatively calm so far. Oh and making herself very comfy on the couch
-
I think my girl might be going into labour.

My goodness there was a couple of active ones last night, poor girl is being kicked to death! I have also realised that the licking is due to the discomfort from a full milk bar. she is licking which releases some of the milk which forms a bit of a cycle as every lick releases milk which has to be relicked. Explains why they get that brown crusty stuff forming around the nipples as well, it must be from the dried milk. I squeezed a bit of milk off in a warm flannel last night and then I put some baby oil on her belly. She still licked!! Oakeydoak1 is it Kizzie's first litter?

So sorry for your loss Jackofhearts. How heartbreaking for you. My girl can't stop licking at her belly and it's looking a bit raw but I can't stop her. I've been putting on paw paw which softens it but doesn't stop her from licking. I think it is because of all the kicking going on and she is finding it uncomfortable. She is dropping her belly now and I can visually see kicking. I start taking her temp.

Congratulations on your litter Jackofhearts Sorry about the one that didn't make it. I hope mum and her new babies are doing well. I am about to post pics of my girl for you. She's had quite an undercarriage for a while now and I squeezed today and she is full of milk. She isn't due for another week. I hope the milk doesn't go stale!!

Yay, an exciting time for you Eishund. Congratulations on the pregnancy and with six pups there should be that nice little lass in their for you!!
-
Great news MissMaddy How's your girl doing JackofHearts? Forgot to say I felt two kicks tonight
-
Congratulations Missymoo

Glad all is going well. No need to be worried bitches vary with milk production. My girl has really developed her under carriage but I haven't squeezed yet to see if there is milk but she isn't due for a while yet. A couple of nights ago I felt kicks Have you been feeling the puppies kicking? I have one active kicker but haven't felt much else. Sounds like Missymoo might have something to tell us!

My girl didn't start mammary enlargement until week 7 and she is now developing quite the under carriage. I have faith in the supplementation your girl is getting will maintain pregnancy for her but the only thing to be aware of is issues with whelping a singleton. Sometimes the single puppy will not produce enough hormone to start labour and then a cesarian is required.

Try some Pawpaw ointment as it does not matter if she eats it. Thanks. I'll try that.

My girl has got to the itchy belly stage. Scratching her belly and nibbling around her nipples. It is starting to get a bit red and crusty around some of them. Does anyone have any tips on preventing or helping with the itches?
-
Sorry to hear she aborted last time. Glad you've found out the problem with the low progesterone so with supplementation hopefully all will go well with this pregnancy. Breeding has can be heart breaking at times with a lot of disappointments. Lets hope you get some crackers.

And how many puppies did she go on to have Jetpoint?
-
She's pregnant Suddenly a her belly is lite up like a runway. Her nipples are so red they'd be spotted in a snow storm by a 747. The pups will have no problem finding the nipples She's certainly kept me guessing as she's due in 2.5 wks!
-
She looks a lovely little girl. Is this her first litter? I can't see much belly with all her fur but those pink nipples are the give away aren't they:-)
-
Well she's keeping me guessing!! Sometimes I look at her and think yes she might be and other times (in the same day) I look at her and think no she's got too much of a waist still. Look forward to pics of Miss Miley:-)

Congratulations Jackofhearts

That's the problem isn't it. I'm the same. My girl seems very quiet in herself but then in this miserable cold rainy weather that is also to be expected. I usually find one of the first things I notice as well is increased appetite but my girly isn't really showing signs of that yet. Chocolate, are you expecting a litter this late in the season ??? Maybe, don't know yet. She seasoned very late this year the latest I've had a girl come in but understandably as the weather was really not autumn like until the end of May. WOW, she was mated about the time that most of the pups were being born !!! Yep, you guys did have quite funny weather... Good luck, fingers crossed ;) ... Oh, who is it ??? Did you have your other litters, the ones up on your website ??? I've had one litter and this will be the 2nd if she's pregs. Go take a look at the website it's all up there:-)
