  1. you should go see my thread in the training section about psycho maniacs lol Hang on I will post a link to it http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=65527 We have got them to the stage where if they are seperate they won't jump, or will only try it once (to my oh and me) visitors we are still working on, and when they are both together, forget it!!! To start with, when you get home and he jumps, ignore him, turn around walk off, don't tell him off, just ignore him completely When he is all 4 paws on the ground pat him If he jumps again, turn around ignore and walk off again He will learn that he gets nothing until he is sitting or standing If you can get your visitors to do the same it will help heaps Unfortunately it is harder to train visitors than it is dogs!!!
  2. I've tried to separate them and they settle, but as soon as they are together again they go nuts! I've tried to put them outside, once again they settle, then go nuts when let in!!! They have way too much energy
  3. My 2 are on completely raw One can clear a room, the other never really farts at all I think Molly is just a stinky ass! She no lady
  4. Cool, nekhbet I will try that too, but only on the nights where I don't have to be somewhere for a while lol They do their best performances when I get home from work though, I think they have built it up all day and they just explode When OH gets home , it only goes for a minute or so, they have already used it all up on me!!!
  5. hey Dan, I was at the chemist today and I got keri oil It smells nice!
  6. I think I might have to crate Molly for a bit when we get home as she is the worst offender, Eddie calms in a minute, she is a raving lunatic!!!
  7. Ok, yours sounds worse, at least I don't have pee!!!!
  8. They are inside when it happens, they have a run together with a door into the laundry which I open when I get home When I get home I don't say a word to them, I just go about the house doing whatever I'm doing When I do this they turn to each other (even though they have been together all day) and act like they haven't seen each other in years I tried putting them outside and they still go stupid wrestling screaming and taking flying leaps at the back door I could keep doing this until they learn that they don't come in until they are settled but I worry about how the neighbours will react! It sets off the little fluffy dog behind us and she barks her head off while they are screaming at each other I guess I could try leaving them in the laundry run for 5 minutes when I get home, and hope that they don't bash the door down in that time!!! It's a bloody circus I'm telling you! But after having said all this they are really lovely well trained dogs when they are calm!!!
  9. I have been thinking I might try putting Molly on her lead when we get home, as she is the one who gets all revved up and initiates everything Ideas anyone?
  10. OMG peibe that is hilarious!!!
  11. Yup a stafford in the house means you can no longer go into ANY room including and especially the toilet, by yourself whilst they live with you
  12. lol pitchick, I can imagine, my two are bad enough! I guess if they just sat at my feet when i got home, I'd be disapointed just one thing though, couldn't someone have made those boofheads just a little softer!!! God they hurt!!!!
  13. Ah well I'm back but no one knows how to tame my wild beasts yet!!! Hopefully later then! Ta ETA I've been thinking and it's probably more liek 1/2 hour that it takes for them to settle (and by settle I don't mean calm, I just mean not swinging from the rafters!)
  14. Any advice on how to deal with two 10 month old stafford pups who spend all day together and decide when I get home to turn into absolute raving lunatics, who run around jump all over everything and scream their lungs out I ignore them and walk away from them so they then turn to each other and wrestle and fight and knock things over, What can I do?!!! Just wait til they get older and calm down, like when they are 100! It takes about 15 minutes for them to settle down, and they drive me crazy Should I separate them when I get home, crate them? I don't know??? Thanks guys ps I'm just off to tafe so i am posting and running but I will be back later tonight
  15. Well I found out what their mince is made of so that is good, now I have a base to the rest of it It's beef mince with carrot celery silverbeet and parsley
  16. Riles, I am picturing you walking with a big stick and I'm But it sounds like a good idea for some dogs though  Sorry Sandra :p I used to have the same problem with mine, now they do it less, it just takes time, hang in there, you are doing a good job K9, with your already rave rewiews imagine what doing it in the flesh would do?!!! Edited for crap spelling
  17. I think I will get one for molly for doggy dancing, it will be easier than droping her lead and worrying about standing on it! (And cos I want to do agility later too )
  18. Molly waving Will get some of Eddie tonight hopefully
  19. I promise I will TRY to stop bugging you now Dan!!!
  20. Oh I gave them their meat/veg still partially frozen this morning, it was great - it took them 30 seconds to eat it instead of 2 seconds (well maybe an exaggeration but they didn't inhale it for once!!! )
  21. I might do that What exactly is keri oil and where is it from Off to google ETA mineral oil and lanolin oil!!! I will have a look at the chemist then
  22. Great thanks guys, I would much prefer natural things so these suggestions are great They only get bathed once every 6 months or so, but it's the swimming that I think strips it (the chlorine probably, I don't know what type of chemicals they use - it's at dogs in motion
  23. Ah found it in shake! Those pics are all so cute! I taught them to spin from your instructions too!!!
  24. Sorry! I looked in all your tricks but must have been blind to this one! lol I always check out your stuff first, I'm a fan!!!! That's really cool about teaching Moses to get Josh! I should teach them that one (maybe teach it to eddie as he is bigger, molly will be easier to move!!!) Though it will have to wait til they are slightly less psycho!!!
