  1. Have cut this out of my other thread so you guys won't have to go to the link  This instance was when I tied him up at training, to take Molly in her class, I have done this before and he flopped himself down and slept the whole class This time he screamed his lungs out the whole time, pulled so much I though he was either going to choke himself or pull the fence out of the ground A few weeks ago we were training with a friend and I put him in his crate to work with Molly (I do this at home, and he is fine) and he started screaming and trying to destroy the crate I ignored him for maybe 15 minutes thinking it is the best thing to do then it got too much so I waited for a break in the crying and went to him He clung to me Left him again for 15 minutes and same episode During this time, I was really anxious too feeling guilty which he was probably picking up on, and I was probably making him worse In general he is not bad with sep anx, he is fine when we leave for work, and not overly silly when we get home, he runs around the house with Molly, she brings me a toy and he tries to jump once (which gets ignored) then he sits for a pat He never follows us around at home much, he prefers to sleep in the same room but unlike Molly if he's comfy he won't move room if we do
  2. Just bumping this, sorry I know there is heaps on sep anx at the moment, but this doesn't fit with the classic signs
  3. Sorry about double posting but I know a few of the people who know lots here may not see it in general! Having trouble with Eddie having anxiety like attacks when I am training Molly, and I'm not sure what to do about it Here is the link to my other thread which started as asking about rescue remedy, but I know I also need some trianing help in relation to the problem http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...c=70291&hl= Thanks
  4. Oh cool, your bird vet is just up the road from me Glad she is doing well
  5. OT I know but I was going to use chilli sauce on the end of Eddies collar so Molly wouldn't chew on it, and thought I might just make sure she doesn't like it first Gave her some on my finger, she licked it all off, and looked a bit funny Offered some more expecting her to refuse it, but she licked it all up too Psycho dog!
  6. I only feed raw, and have done since Eddie was 8 weeks We freeze the meat and thaw it before feeding and that gets rid of many of the problems with bad raw meat Good to hear she is doing well Which vet is it? I used to live in Glen Wav and now in Mt Wav so am close to you!
  7. Yeah I saw that you had to go different ways over the same jumps, I would get too confused I think lol, I'd need a map!
  8. Awesome, love it!!!! don't you forget where to go next???!!!
  9. Yeah that i don't agree with at all, way too early Eddie fractured his sesamoids when he was about that age, and we were fairly careful with him, it happened so easily we didn't even know Thats why I want to be sure with him before we start, but would love to start the tunnels and basic commands now
  10. lol so true Leopuppy, they are the cuddliest sooky dogs I will deifinitely let the instructor know their age too, so they don't push them further (cos they are very capable, and would be easy to get carried away)
  11. yeah he probably will hide from the big bad sheltie Geez that was funny when he did that, sooky lala
  12. Thanks Tiggy They are 2nd cousins (Eddie's granma is Molly's great grandma!!!) They are 1 day apart in age I'm going to go to the beginners agility on wed night at my club and see what age they recommend and if we can start basic stuff Eddie is in green class in obedience which is the start of off lead work and Molly in pink, almost ready to go into green with Eddie so they have the foundations, I also do freestyle with them so they know leg weaves and through etc I am really looking forward to it
  13. Nah, no excess weight on them I am very proud of their condition!!! Pic of both of them, after running like loons on the beach this weekend
  14. They are staffords, so I guess I should try to find info on when they are considered to be finished growing The mucking around we were doing was only cause we were up at best friends retreat (I can't shut up about that place!!!) who had the equipment, not something I would be doing again until we start classes At the moment I just want to start the ball rolling and teach them the commands, etc, and as they get abit older start trianing more heavily They are very lean and very fit so that part won't be a problem at least! Thanks
  15. I know different clubs have different rules on the min age to start agilty My 2 staffords have just turned one, and we were mucking around with the agility equipment over the weekend and I'd like to start them Are they an ok age? As long as we don't over do it?
  16. Hey at least you can be embarrassed with me The 2 perverted photo taking dog owners!!! Eddie wasn't at all aggressive before but he was very quietly dominant He is alot better now, but as I said, I think it's a combo of this and the change in our behaviour towards him He went through a phase where he peed on my leg 3 times in total over a couple of weeks and that has not happened since (thank god)
  17. I think the company initially did this for females, they are called peptech The implant is suprelorin i think The reason we got it was because we werent sure if we were going to show him yet and I wanted to see what effect desexing would have on him
  18. Oh gosh Ishy I'm so sorry for all of your losses We are thinking of you and everything is crossed for some good news for you - there's been enough bad RIP Zac, Suzi & Saki
  19. Have they changed at all since the last pics you posted?
  20. Yeah I will At least it is easy, its how he sleeps 90% of the time I just feel like a pervert!!!
  21. Here are some pics for comparison In May this year, he got it at the start of June so it's been about 6-7 weeks Now Oh how embarassing for him ;)
  22. I got the implant for Eddie about 2 months ago now He has shrunk to maybe 1/2 the size, and he has mellowed out alot He is no longer trying to be dominant with us, which I put down to a combination of us chagning our behaviour and the implant He rarely ever tries to hump our desexed bitch anymore (he used to alot) and he doesn't seem top mark as much either I'm very happy with it, and glad we did it I still haven't got a show answer though, I don't know what are the rules are on the subject? He still has 2 fully descended testicles, they are just smaller than they were
