I haven't ever used a correction collar on my dog at WP, though I've only been there 6 months or so They show newbies a range of different collars when they start, chains, martingales and flats so I would say no they don't Efs cos I can't spell -

Puppy Introduction To Resident Cats
shoemonster replied to Newby_Pom_Puppy_Owner's topic in Puppy Chat
When Ed was a pup we introduced him by having him on lead and let the cats into the room (their claws has been clipped using human nail clippers just incase) but we never had any issues We also never left them unattended until we were certain how he acted with them, and he is fantastic with them now, when the dogs are pups its much easier I think Here are Ed and Blossom from last week -
Oh cool, are you happy with all those? Any that are better or not as good as you though? They all look good, wonder if the tugs would stand up to staffords?! lol At least the flirt stick they won't constantly be chewing on it so not such a problem
-
Oooooh I want one of those Did you get it from them or someone else? How much to get it here?
-
Yeah I definitely think so, thats why I think amh should try a flirt pole with her stafford My boy works for different things depending on what he is doing, I am trying to figure out his best reward for agilty, something like tugging I think as a release as he gets so worked up so quickly, yet at obedience I can't use something that gets him too revved or he won't work at all The flyballers almost all use tugs as their dogs reward too, I guess as both a release and a reward
-
Amhailte, a flirt pole might work better than a tug for your dog? Basically a stick (like a bamboo rod or something) with a string and something like a piece of rabbit skin, or fake fur on the end Flick it around so that the dog can't get to it Edited to add this link http://www.ghostlyease.co.uk/Athletic%20Training.htm

Oh I wish I was there today, with you guys all being there! We were still in the bush this morning after our camping with Suz and fam Hope to meet Gemma and Molly and their dad next week and Sway and her mum soon! Corine, we started and still train sometimes at another club (that we were talking about at your place) but we do Sundays at WP cos it is smaller and more relaxed but good with higher classes and trialling too -
Yeah Ed and Molly take them as treats too lol Sas, what a great result in a short time, fantastic!
