The puppy classes at southern are also run very differently than the adult classes, they are food based and very positive ETA I actually went to other clubs after starting at southern because I cracked it with the way a few of the people there were, but I have found myself back there as I get more out of it, now I am more clear on what I want, and how I want to do it

Going to a trialling old fashioned method club doesnt mean you have to use those methods, but they are a good way to see what the dogs need to be working like to be in the ring I use many different methods, food, clicker, correction, toys, and have had my issues with a few different clubs that I have trained at, all for different reasons, I dont think there is a perfect club, but if you take take things from the clubs and use them and modify them to your own needs then you will get enough from them I think Luckydog here trains at moorabbin, he can let us know what its like

I have trained at both ADT and Southern, and if you want to trial you really need to go to a trialling club Southern are a little old fashioned in their methods but they are very much a trailling club, with lots of people who are out trialling and also judges who are there too and will help ADT arent VCA affiliated and they do not aim for trialling standards they really aim towards pet manners and general obedience for the most part PM me if you like

I found the clicker really good for getting my own timing right and now I can say yes in the right timing where before I would always say it too late! So the clicker was a great way to teach me to get better timing and it didnt do the dogs any harm while I got there either lol

Stupid question time, what do I do now with the certificates, when sending them in to get his title and do I update his papers etc? First time trialling with my first dog! lol

Just a small brag that Ed and I got our 3rd pass and title in CCD today! He was a good boy and the only things he mucked up were due to my bad handling! (aint that always the way!) Now I'm going to focus on all my new knowledge in drive training to get ready for novice!
