  1. I did chicken breast jerky and it turned out fantastic! Also tried the vip roll, cut thin into chips and they are great too Doing ox cheek now and its taking forever, and my god it looks disgusting
  2. Yeah I wouldnt change now, you only have the lead on for CCD anyway, then its gone I borrowed a lead for Mollys last trial which was a bit shorter and it was fantastic, didnt get caught under her legs when I forgot t shorten it in my hand, and I thought I have to get one this length, then I relaised I'm not doing on lead work anymore
  3. In trials and leading up to it I held it in my left hand, use my left hand with lead in it for heel signal, my right hand for the down signal and I swap lead to my right hand and use a left handed stand signal Mainly cos if the lead is in my left hand I found it asier to leave it loose and act as though it wasnt there and though the club teach a right handed stand signal a judge told me to use the left handed signal as he saw how twisted my body with a right handed signal. He also uses a left handed stay signal which I would like to change to as well
  4. Maybe you could call him Del for short? Cos Mandy isnt very macho!
  5. Oh and I put it in the garage as its on for a day or more, so only the garage stinks!
  6. Make sure it has different temperature settings as apparently you cant do meat in the ones that only have one temp I got the Ezidry snack maker from these people http://www.natureswonderland.biz/Biodynami...iSnackmaker.htm Its been good, though I tried chicken thigh and it stayed really greasy, but the livers and kidneys etc have been really good The liver I dried from raw went chewy and I did it in strips, froze it when not using and it was great, but the liver I boiled first went harder and drier, and was so easy to break up, and could just be left out in a zip loch bag
  7. I'm doing chicken livers and beef hearts at the moment The beef liver works really well boiled firs't so I've boiled this stuff first too, though itstinks the house out!
  8. Ooh I'm in experiment mode with my dehydrator, I might have to try that one Does it dry right through? I tried hotdogs and they dried kind of wierd, still abit moist, but maybe I just didnt persist for long enough (it was about 24 hours I think) Sorry its a little OT

  15. Theres gonna be a few DOLers brags from this weekends trials, so I'll put mine in too! On Sat Molly got her 2nd pass and won the CCD ring with a score of 90, and then today she did it again! Score of 93, pass and won the ring! Got her CCD title at the Nationals! Such a clever girl!!!
  16. Really obedience classes dont do a whole lot for a dogs obedience, they are only there to teach you how to teach your dog, so if you know how to teach her, there is no reason you cant do the obedience somewhere else, or even at club but off to the side
  17. Good stuff! I agree, write notes down, you'll find that you will forget lots of things the second they walk out!
