  1. Why are you up at 2am thinking about this? Ok just did it, how embarassing, not very good Ed, staffordshire bull terrier, has CCD, currently in drive training program, previously clicker, correction, you name it I've tried it Molly, staffordshire bull terrier, has CCD, currently using kinda positive drivey type stuff, previously same as Ed Just walked up and said sit Ed 4.2 seconds, Molly 3.7 seconds Next time I thought in the ring I dont just say sit, I say watch, so tried it with watch, only said once, then nothing said after that Ed 37 seconds Molly 6 seconds
  2. hehe thanks! My 2 are fairly extreme, they seem to love anything that gets the adrenaline going, so if Esme is a nutter she will probably take to it! Pity I'm not closer, she might just follow them in like Ed's daughter Inca did, and she is as nuts for water as they are now!
  3. Clyde, my staffords are nuts for swimming, Ed has been swimming since he was 4 months old, and Molls since we got her at 8 months When they started they started at dogs in motion with the vests on, basically picking them up and swimming them on lead, til they had that lightbulb moment when they realised they could swim, and now its hard to keep them out of the water! We were 4wd once and did a river crossing and Ed jumped out the window to go have a swim :D Here is Ed swimming when he was little http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=4ue3orUJ7oU And at the dam http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=qKxbs_Mk3Kk Ignore my hubby picking on my throwing skills (or lack of!)

  6. Oooh I will be really interested in this as we really want to do the same
  7. We got Molly at 8 months old She wasnt a breeder run on, but her owner had to give her up due to illness, and she had spent all her 8 months in a backyard, with not much interaction. The first time she came into our house she climbe the couch and flung herself off the top She is genetically nutty to begin with, her mother and litter sister are both nuts as well! hehe She just turned 3 and got her CCD title a few months ago, and her 3rd flyball title earlier in the year Toilet training, general manners and obedience training we just did as thoughshe was a puppy, though it was hard to keep remembering she didnt "know" it already, so we had to keep pinching ourselves and not expect too much of her
  8. Hey DD could you use foam board or that plastic corrugated stuff, (hope you know what I mean) Like what they use for the real estate agent signs on the street corners, that would be really light weight, just not sure on cost Oh and the tug looks great, I'm almost scared to ask where the fire hose came from though!
  9. My boy cant be left alone either, I'm just going to have to build it up gradually Maybe pm K9force he will know some trainers in Qld that will be good for you Im sure
  10. Im home sick with not much to do, here is my couple of minute version, might be a bit girly coloured though
  11. I havent ever had a slow eating pup, but a friend did, and she was told to remove the bowl after 15 minutes, so that pup learns if he doesnt eat he misses out Thats assuming there isnt anything health wise wrong. I would go to vet and get a checkup first if you think there might be a health problem, rule that out first Has anything else changed? Even a change in weather? Maybe try just kibble no milk. What is his evening meal?
  12. Better than Bec, she still wont do it at all! I did make her, but she pretended to let it touch her and then screamed ;)

  20. Excellent, thank you, will take it all on board Its good cos I know when the comments are little fiddly things that I am doing the overall exercise ok (the dumbell, not the gloves hehe) Ive been alternating taking the dumbell normally (but must be a bit quick) with bending down and bringng my hands but not taking it for up to 10 seconds, and she hasnt been dropping it, but I will make a mental note to slow up the normal one, cant have it looking like I think she is going to drop it Yeah I am crap with my shoulders and using them too much, I was watching my heeling vids, and I still move my shoulder back to see her, and Im pushing her back, looks shocking too Thanks!
