  5. Hamish gets along with everyone, they just get sick of him! Even my completely antisocial emo i hate the world cat Mort puts up with him jumping on her every chance he gets with only the occasional telling off!
  6. Jordie is lovely! I had a big ginger tom when I was growing up
  7. We introd a puppy to our existing cats, when Ed was a pup, and then later we introduced Molly as a 8 month old pup I agree with the no dog zones, a baby gate to a room, we use the laundry because the catflap to the cat run is in the laundry too The cats know they can get away, and the dogs know they cant go in there Always supervise and even now years later, even though neither of the dogs has ever tried to hurt the cats (cant say the same for the cats attacking the dogs though!), I will leave them unsupervised when Im home, but I seperate while at work or going out for longer periods of time. Now When they were little Oh I reccomend clipping the cats claws too, just incase the puppy gets a claw in the eye
  8. Is it like this? http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...=155018&hl=

  10. Yummmmm, OH has just gone to the shops as we are having late lunch, bbq garlic prawns, and some yummy fresh bread
  11. Start small, Ed is the same, and I need to start doing it with him too Small amounts of time, and come and go like its no big deal, also dont come back if he is in the middle of a tanty, or if you cant avoid it, dont let him out until he settles,
  12. Yep when I taught Molls the retrieve I thought it would be easy as she will fetch a ball, but I went back to teaching her purely to touch the item, then hold the item, then heel with it in her mouth etc. Then when I introduced gloves I thought easy she knows the retrieve Errr wrong, had to go back and teach her to hold the glove first, but we got there I used food as the reward
  13. Silverside wouldnt be the same without the salt! I love the salt! But too salty for the dogs for eat reguarly, I sometimes give mine little pieces though if I cook it for myself Also for humans, do it in the dehydrator, silverside jerky, is delicious!
  14. we had to do this with Ed when he was 4-5 months, we used to crate alot, and everything else was on lead, onlead to toilet, on lead sitting watching tv with us We also got him swimming asap and as soon as the vet cleared it (different injury) but the swimming was a great energy release and great for low impact exercise
  15. Ohhh I love his go to sleep trick! The agility is great too!
  16. Maybe all our girls are a bit butch! :D I know Molly sure is!
  17. Neither of my dogs liked balls much until they were about 18 months old and they met a friends whippet who loved to play ball. i was like all of a sudden a switch flicked Anyone who has seen them with a ball now probably wouldnt believe they used to watch a thrown ball and look at me to say what do you want me to do with that
