Dancing With Dogs Freestyle & Heelwork To Music

The song that I was thinking about is One Toy Soldier by Enya and as a HTM routine I could get all four heel positions that are required in.. but the the change of pace would be tricky, hence why it could be too slow. Only need one more pass for HTM Inter :) -

Mmmm what is my list? Oh yeah, get that last CCD pass on young madam and then onto DWD. Her routine keeps changing LOL cause she keeps putting a different spin on a move, and I generally go YES like that one. But do you think that she will do it again the next day? Was over the moon as she picked up a sock and brought it to me yesterday :D which will be handy for part of her freestyle routine. Might even try to get her to pick up a crumbled bit of paper which would be even better. Maybe getting a puppy might change all that though. And you must come over for a DWD comp.. especially if there is an obed/rally/agility trial the day before. I haven't heard if Ballarat is having their DWD comp again Finding the right music for Tux will be interesting. Would love to change it to an Enya song, but while it would be perfect, I think that we'd be told that it is too slow. -

Well Tassie, bring that further up the list of the must do for the summer hols.. would love to see you over here for the next round of DWD comps. You might even get to see me with the youngster (now that is a scary thought) in HTM starters.. or Freestyle. Not sure what we are doing with Tux as of yet. He is coming along nicely, except that age is starting to catch up with him a bit more. -

I have a new routine for Styler Novice Freestyle routine on paper, just need to put more work into Styler so he is more accurate with his cues. I'm mostly there with a Starters Freestyle routine for baby Tora and I'm toying with the idea of doing some HTM with Kato. YAY for your routine for Freestyle starters routine for baby Tora. And stop toying with the idea of doing some HTM with Kato, just do it.lol -

Well my DWD routine hasn't come along the way I'd like it to. She just doesnt seem to get it that I am in charge and not her. So I havent entered the last Vic comp for the year. Still having trouble what to call certain moves that makes sense to me as well as for the heel positions. Thanks Ness for all your help so far. Good luck to everyone else in your upcoming comps, please feel free to post your brags here. We do want to hear about them. Also tell us about anything else to do with DWD too :))) -

How has everyone training/routines going? Mine has sort of come to a halt with the young girl being in season right now :) But I have worked out a bit more of her routine and will add a bit more "glitter" to my costume. Just want to ask about commands that people use for HTM, what do you call each position? I normally just use signals but this young girl needs both. thanks in advance -

Yesterday Melbourne Royal DWD comp was held and what a sight it was too. Some very lovely routines was presented to everyone to enjoy. There was even some very new competitors into the sport too :) As for me, I didn't get to compete as my girl was in season. I had decided that it was just too noisy for Tux so I left him home.. Did anyone else do any comps? -

The Royal is next Sunday (30th) and the young girl has decided that she cannot possibly do any thing of her routine.Hopefully its only a couple of day hiccup. Tux's eyes are now cleared up, so I reckon it was just some dust that got in there that caused the problem, thank goodness. Have fun with Michelle P, from what I am reading it is great, but please feel free to pass on any info that you care to share from the workshop. -

I hear that the DWD comp at the Adelaide Royal went well, so congrats to everyone on all your routines. Not long now before the Melbourne Royal's comp too. Not too sure what I am going to do right at the moment as Tux's has got sore eyes due to some pollens, so for him it will be a wait and see thing. The young girl's routine is coming along nicely, so I am happy with it. All as I have to do is remember what I am doing and not fall over her. It is going to be another busy Royal for everyone concerned. Any one got any brags?? -
Yes 2006 is right for when the CCD and UDX classes came in to Obedience. Since then there has been a few changes to those class, UDX especially

Hi MrsD, am home now and my boy cried when he seen me. The Feral one, well she was feral this morning bouncing with joy that I was home so I had to tell her to behave herself. Training will start on Monday which brings me to a question, I am going to do Money Money Money by Abba (but for starters this time fingers crossed) and am wondering what the feeling would be if I used the same costume as I did before. It comprised of a fluro vest, jeans, scruffy white runners and either a jumper or checked shirt,(ok some pple might wear this down the street but no way would I). Do you think that give me the costume points? Or would I be pinged for wearing street clothes? Slightly off topic, not going to Michelle P's seminar, cant afford it after my month long trip in Qld as I did a trip down memory lane tracing my family history in and around the Atherton Tableland, Innisfail and down the coast. Missed my kids greatly, but it was worth the journey. -

:provoke: don't you read the posts on the DWD yahoo email list Tassie? :p  Didn't have to...had a secret source rofl....but you need to brag here for those that don't have "the knowledge " ;-) A secret source  . OK, for those that don't know, Jarrah & I got our first leg & second place in Advanced Freestyle yesterday at the Brisbane Royal ( <-----me doing the happy dance  ). Thanks to BC4ME for me to do it, it was my first trial in 10 months & our first trial in the advanced class & I nearly pulled out altogether because I didn't have my new advanced routine ready, but in the end I did my intermediate routine (with much ad libing because I forgot most of it  ) instead. If I missed out before mrsd I will say it again congrats to you:). (im in Hervey bay atm) . Am catching up a little bit on what has been happening here when I go to internet cafe. Can't believe that my hols are nearly over and I get to see my kids soon -
congrats to you and brookie

I did "We will meet again" for our HTM itermediate level and gained a pass and first place in both the AM and PM trial. I didn't wear the same skirt as the last time, cause I had found a lovely green skirt, which was more to the period :) wore the same blouse, but had white gloves (the lace ones got stuck on the flowers) and a white hat this time round You weren't the person who split their skirt open up the back for the second trial, so they could move around better, were you? Congrats on your results! yes I was :) so was you the nice helpfull person who let me know why I got marked down for the coustume? I slit the skirt lining but it then rode up a bit too high lol -

Freestyle I withdrew in the am trial as Tux was being a silly billy and wasn't paying attention. With Meg, we gained her HTM.s title with a lovely score of 140pnts and we did our routine to Loch Lomond. Meg looked a treat with her little tarten ribbon:) So proud of both the two furkids as they are not spring chickens -

There's the line "girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes". It refers to dresses, but you don't need to wear a dress - what if you wore something like a white shirt with a blue satin sash? Then some tailored pants maybe also in a blue to match the sash? Just the first thing to come to mind clothing wise for that song... :) thanks alot Schatzi, I even have found a boys blue spangle cumberband for Tux to wear.. but if he doesnt like it, I wont put it on -

Thanks for asking Ness, Tux had to go to his chiro and she released muscle spasm he had and he had to be rested. So I havent had time to practise enough with the comp being on this Sunday.
