Where at ??? & what are you competing in ?? DWDCQ has a double at Woongoolba. Tora is doing Starters in both Freestyle and HTM, Schatzi is doing Intermediate HTM. Good luck for next weekend please remember to let us all know how you go in the ring thanks Thanks will do, not sure why I feel nervous, I think because it's been a while, Tora is new to the sport and they are new routines. It's still great to be back out there though :D super excited as well as nervous! Hi Schatzi Mum, have you had your comp yet? and if so, how did you go? -
well done :)

Sheena, that is a good question.. My Aussie boy would roll twice over in the same direction, if asked to. And when I watch my dogs they will roll over once, then roll on their backs, have a rub and roll again, some times in the same direction other times not.

Steph, Werribee ODC now is back to it's proper training time of Saturday afternoons :) and just in case you are wondering why I know this, its because I am a member there too So it is, we have missed the last few weeks due to travel. Doh! I'm sure you're at a mugh higher level than us. If you see a demented flat coat come say hi though! Haha. I have been at the club for nearly 15years and I am currently in class 8(UD) and back in class 3 with a very robust young goldie who just thinks everyone and every dog loves her.. and goodness help me if she sees a small child or a pram.. she must say hello to them.. I havent been there for a little while either due to commitments and wont be there this Saturday cause I will be at the DLS doing demo work And Flat Coats arent demented, just full of life. Can I ask you who was your dogs breeder? -

Is the training on a Saturday morning? if so I won't be able to make it Werribee sounded so good! guess I'll have to stay where I am for the moment. Hi, try looking at Werribee's facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/WerribeeObedienceDogClub?fref=ts to get a feel for the club. The club's web site is currently down and probably will be back up soon. Next induction day is coming up soon, but I am not sure the date due to the website being down. Werribee has Obedience, Rally O, Agility and is supportive of a lot of other activities. Agility generally is around the 11'o'clock mark and obedience from Puppy class and class 1 start at 1.30 pm, class 2&3 at 2.30pm and 4 & 5 pm at 3.30. Class times are 45- 50 minutes. If you do decide to come down and join in the fun, make sure that you asked to be assessed so that they can put you in the right class. As Steph M has said, they do a "fun walk" at 1.00 to help settle your dog down and help it relax a bit. The club also offers mid week training as well. I will hunt out my newsletter and give you the secretary's email addy so that you can contact her too. Cheers for now I can't commit to training on Saturdays. My dad is at work and my mum takes my brother to sport. I'd love to go, but it wouldn't work out but totally understandable -

Are you going white jumpsuit? Or mini dress with a cat on it? Seriously though, part of the fun is wearing things you would never normally wear and having fun with it :) This is probably the most sparkles I've worn in my life... Oh yes.....the mini skirt goes with the long white boots :) Make sure you get a photo of you in your costume please Sheena -

I have had to have help getting Audacity to work for me (thanks Ness) and now learning how to cut music too. Just need to potter a bit more with it though to make the music flow ok without a huge clunk (if you edit the music and join it up in the wrong place, it doesn't sound right) and how to slow down the tempo a bit. I am glad that we are getting some lovely discussion on here about DWD and every thing to do with it. At the recent dwd comp here in Vic, I had encouraged my friend with her two girls to have a crack at it. She had asked me to check her routines prior to the comp and with a few minor alterations and reminding her to use the whole ring, along with a few other hiccups that got straightened out a week prior to the come. Her aussie shepherd did freestyle in both comps to Monday Tuesday Wednesday (I love you) and came home with a second ( the am trial was on a count back) and first place in the pm trial With her costume she wore a simple black pants with a white stripe down the leg, white shirt, pink braces and a pink cravat tie topped off with a top hat. Her girl wore a pink shirt collar. Simple but really nice. Her old girl (GSD)did HTM starters with a lovely routine to A little party never killed no body by Ferie, which she did very well by getting first place in both trials and H.I.T for HTM in the second one. So far she is the only GSD here in vic to gain passes in dwd. Her costume was a black flapper dress that was dressed up with a few sequins and a red sequins strip and a red sequins head band, her girl wore a simple red ribbon. Very effective for the number. I have now created a monster VBG as she cant wait for the next comp to hopefully gain her starters title for both girls and has already thinking about her novice routines. So proud and happy for her on her efforts for her first time in the dwd ring. -

Tassie, you will have to just share you time between the mainland and your home.. 6 months at each place oh and win a million dollars might help you achieve this goal too -

Lots of passes!! It was great!!! So who is trialling here in Vic on 12 April? Kenzie and I will be giving it another go to see if we can get 2 more passes in freestyle to get her starters title! Good luck PME as I should be there watching. My girl has decided to come into season so no dancing for us. -

As Ness said, sometime you have just wing it. Also ask for ideas on here for costumes.. that is part of the reason this is here, to help everyone in DWD. I am toying with the idea of entering the April DWD.. but I might chicken out Good luck -

two weeks away I believe :) And you have some idea of what song you are using, cause you have already entered I hope.. not like me who hasnt got any idea and wants to enter the April DWD comp Song sorted, plus most of the moves we will include. Just need to sort out what order they need to go in and how to use the ring, oh and that whole costume issue!! :) the costume is probably the hardest part -

 You're not alone there PME. I'm staring to panic a tad now - I do have music edited - and some ideas ... but choreo is still a work in progress - have ideas about costume (will be simple) - props - likewise. Why did I enter 2 dogs in 2 xlasses each??? Time is an issue - just finishing an online course - working slot - at the Fenzi academy - great!! but tine consuming - and dogs have a busy calendar - Rally and obedience trials last week, agility doubles this weekend and next weekend ... gulp! @ sheena - that course looks really interesting. Hope she offers it again. I am trying to work out how I can get there to cheer you all on.. So want to watch you all -
