  1. Well yesterday I had another crack at UDX at my home club's trial. With the am trial he brought in the decoy and then missed the drop in the PIM. It was wet so I withdrew Pm trial, we nearly did everything. SB with decoy PIM as he missed a sit and then followed me in the stand in motion. But did everything else. Got over excited with the leathers (which he did nicely) with being vocal. Doesn't do it any more in training, but............... We did have 3 passes in UDX with one of them gaining her GR Obed Ch title. The other one was his first pass after trying for two years, and the third just missed out on gaing a Gr Ob pass by 4 points.
  2. What artist do you like?? And is it for freestyle or HTM or both??
  3. I train in UDX approx 2 times a week depending on what I want done. Last night went to club and the SB with Decoy went haywire as he brought back the decoy and we didn't do the cloths Everything else was ok. I don't always do a complete run through every time I train either so it might be PIM and SA/R which he loves doing. But my boy has spoilt me as I am finding out with the newest addition as she is SOOOOOOOO different it is not funny. With him I get him out and we start working, with her it is a half hour job before hand and she needs a more structured(sp?)work schedule.
  4. Do you know how they score a routine? All as I know is that costumes are worth 2 points. And barking is a no no. Going to attend my first workshop soon... just not sure which dog to take with me
  5. Well tonoght will be the first time that I will of been able to do any training in UDX for nearly two weeks thanks to a nasty bug that is not wanting to leave me, so I will let you know if we nail every exercise. How often does everyone train for UDX and do you always do a complete run through?
  6. Can't wait to see it ) So fingers are crossed that you will share when you get it. Glad that everything well too )
  7. for you Xena98 just keep on telling yourself it will happen
  8. You will be fine... And Ness when are you coming across to Melb to strutt your stuff? There is a comp in Nov and another one in Feb 2012 something for you to think about..
  9. for Kenz But she will bounce back no doubt Now I have to decide whether I got to Portland or go to the dancing comp in Nov..mmmmmmmm it is hard decision
  10. But you might be surprised and your routine might be worth more than the $10 that they are asking for
  11. on the DWD australia website, go to Vic and then lastest news and upcoming events.. Good luck for Saturday let us all know how you get on please
  12. Ok, here I go again asking for your help... I would love to do a Scottish bagpipe band march/reel/jig as HTM for the Goldie that I handle for my friend. Meg can move fairly quickly for the first 50 seconds but tends to get bored and drops her pace down. I did find a jig that was fantastic (my feet was a tapping to it) but forgot to save it.. I also have asked my friend to help me if I find the right music to join the two peices of music together as a melodymedley Any suggestions? Have sorted out what songs of John Farnham I can use for my boy ) DWD have photos now up from the Melbourne Royal as well as a few videos
  13. Well today was the day for DWD at the Melbourne Royal and we came home with a Q and third place in Freestyle ( thanks Ness for giving me a shove) and a Q in HTM. I am so happy but as with all things Tux put his own spin on things so the routine went out the window but the most important thing is that we had fun. Thanks every one for you suggestions and cyber support Congrats and I agree a quallie and a place at a Royal is a big deal  thanks BC4ME And since Gamby hasn't posted her results from the Royal DWD comp, I will dob her in too. She got her HTMs title Way to go Gamby Will look forward to seeing your new routine at the next comp that we are together
  14. Thanks Gamby and don't you have a brag to put on here too..... I know that despite all the drama that you had at the start of the day, that you did well too... Come Out with it or otherwise I will dob on you. Thank too Luvsdogs and Tassie for the congrats. Tux had a blast in the ring
  15. The DWD comp wasn't even advertised in the show events for the GP and if you go to Royal website under results/dogs it isn't even mentioned Tux did start to bark when we did a spin, so I took them out of the Freestyle and did an extra weave and in the HTM at the very end when I was clapping he decided to bounce towards my arms several times.. this was not scripted. I don't know if the comp was videod and I forgot to take my vid camera with me
  16. Thanks for the Congrats Ness and Bedazzledx2. Still got lots to learn about ring craft and I learnt heaps today too
  17. Can you take both of them and share the work load? And barking what is that?

  19. Sorry to hear that you both missed out on getting a pass Bedazzeled and Xena98. When are you both trialling again?
  20. CONGRATULATIONS SCOOTA AND PTOLOMY You did it YAY YAHOO Scoota UDX I hope that Scoota got the biggest and best reward ever, especially after what he has been through
  21. Has any one trialled in UDX today? And is there any news? I haven't done any UDX training since our last attempt.. =
  22. Congrats on getting your title And what a lovely routine For those in the know, can you use the same piece of music all the way through or is it wise to change it? And after you have got your starters title, what does Novice involve?
  23. Nah you really don't want to see it.... Remember I haven't had any lessons at all. I have looked at Utube to get some sort of idea of what to do. So it might be a bit on the ugly side. So what novice routine will you do for them?
  24. Well today's training was bad He brought back the decoy, stuffed the PIM, Clothe fairy showed up S/R he didn't go to the cones. DC missed a position and Leathers, he was very quiet but still didn't want to get the right one. Trust him to of lost the plot when we was doing this for the new upcoming UDX trainee judges. Thanks Bedazzledx2 for the tip. I have to work on his spins as he is very vocal on them, so when he made a noise he gets a NRM for his oops. But it is taking along time for the penny to drop as they are way too much fun
  25. Do both says me after you talked me into to doing both. Having trouble finding the right outfit for my piper routine and I must remember not to play my instrument while dancing with it..
