Litters Due In February 2012
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to Bilbo Baggins's topic in Breeders Community
rajacadoo, Mother Nature has been more than kind to us. :) I have spent many years researching and researching the bi-factored gene and have been very fortunate to have now had four litters in which there have been bi-blacks. We continue to strive to improve what we have. :D -
Litters Due In March 2012

We definately have four bis. UNBELIEVABLE. There was an outside chance that the sire was bi-factored, as his father is, but until pups are on the ground one doesn't know. To have four in the one litter, has to the best of my knowledge, never been done before in Australia. Weights 10-15oz. Will post photos tomorrow. -

BB, Bree had problems with her first litter. In consultation with the owner of the stud dog and the vet we decided that that was the better option than her possilby having problems at night. fordogs, good luck with bella. Bree's temp am was 37 and by mid afternoon it had gone up to 37.8 She was prepped for her op at 4.10pm. -

OMG, unless vet, nurses and self are totally blind we have FOUR bi colours. 3 boys, one girl and lost a tri girl. Owner of stud dog is coming down tomorrow at which time we will turn the blighters upside down and check their bottoms for signs of tri. Am too tired and elated now to check. -

Bree is so heavy I can barely lift her. She is still eating but her temp is starting to fluctuate. As of today she has been relegated to the nursery and only allowed out under supervision. At one point this morning she had got herself stuck behind one of the rainwater tanks, LOL. -

congratulations, becks, good to have another joining in this thread. :) -
krystal&coco, we have been feeding BH now for 14 months, ours are fussy eaters as well, but all love the BH. We are in Woodford and get ours from a distributor in Wondai. I think there is a distributor in Landsborough. Perhaps send collies02 a pm to ask where on the Sunshine Coast you can purchase.

Panda has hypothyroidism, which before it was diagnosed and treated (he is on thyroxine), caused him to gain weight. Other symptoms were lethargy, a brown tone to his skin and coat loss.

Perhaps, BB, dog geek and self shall be the elite, on DOL, for March  Am pretty confident Bree is in whelp, she is rounding out nicely and her nipples are swelling up. :D I will take her next week to a very good friend who has been breeding shelties for nearly 40 years, and we will put two heads together. Actaully she owns the stud dog. :) -

dog gteek, I don't think you have got it ;) BB's reference to magpies is because they are black and white. I am hoping, against hope, that there may be a black and white sheltie in my litter. Bree is a bi-black and I have mated her to a tri, who's father is bi-factored (i.e. carries the gene), so there is an outside chance we may have a bi in the litter. :D Bree seems to be rounding out in her ribcage. :)
