We would like to take this opportunity to advise that we are not a company/ or commercial retail outlet as such but operate our business from home and it is not a full time operation. Due to circumstances beyond our control we have been unable to operate this business to our expectations in the last month or so. We have had major difficulties with our computer where we have now replaced the mother board, hard-drive and had our computer completely re-built. During this very frustrating time for us we have not been able to answer queries and in some instances where we were able to we had asked people NOT to email us, as we had no way of responding to emails. We have now merged all emails from our computer suppliers' hard drives. We have prior to this time posted out samples to all who had requested them and we take no responsibility for the lack of delivery by Australia post. In the future we hope that all requests will be finalised within 72 hours. Thanks to the board of this forum for allowing us to apologise publicly to all.

Eagle Pack do not appear to have any info. on their website re the recent recalls of food in the US. Here is Nutro's statement, they are updating at least once a week http://www.nutroproducts.com/mfrecall.asp -
Australian Made Super Premium
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to Reddii's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
schaef10, Lamb Meal is lamb meat only, no by products, but with the water content removed. The super premiums, such as Nutro, have far superior ingredients than say the supermarket foods and as Gomez has suggested read all the labels before making a decision. -
What Do You Feed Your Dog?
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to laffi's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Have voted Nutro as this is the main source of their Diet. We have however recently introduced Ziwipeak. We have cut back the quantity of Nutro and feed either a little of Ziwipeak's daily dog cuisine, or their canned product on top of the Nutro. We also feed Ziwipeak as their treats. -

Winterpaws, good question :D Have also been asked the same question about my assoc. with Nutro. 'cause I post a lot about it NO I am not a sales rep, YES admit am totally biased but then we have been feeding Nutro for two years prior to its availability in Aussie. We lived in NZ where it was more readily avail, and a lot more of their products there are not avail. here yet. Cant remember the original ad, but it was to do with dogs, and the slogan was "When you are on a good thing, stick to it" :D Can honestly also recommend the Ziwipeak. OK so we are from NZ and never came across it there but our dogs and cat go silly over it -
Australian Made Super Premium

schaef10, Supercoat may be made in Aussie and recommended by Dr Harry, but have a look at the difference in ingredients between Supercoat and say, Nutro a super premium made in the US (yes am biased as we feed Nutro and have for a number of years). Have only posted a short ingredients comparison, the full list can be found on either manufacturers websites: NUTRO: Lamb Meal, Rice Flour, Rice Bran, Rice Gluten, Ground Rice, Dried Beet Pulp SUPERCOAT: Meat and meat by-products (from chicken and beef), wholegrain cereals (wheat and/or sorghum, rice), wheat bran, beet pulp, whole linseeds, iodised salt. So the first ingredient is meat and meat by-products , beef, , many dogs have allergies to wheat Another product which has recently been released on the Australian market is: ZIWIPEAK MADE IN NEW ZEALAND Venison-Meat (min 50%); Liver, Tripe, Heart and Kidney (min19%); Fish (min 15%); Chicory Syrup; Green-lipped and Blue Mussel (min 4%); Hoki Fish Oil; Leichtin; Kelp; Vitamins and Minerals; Parsley. Have a look at: http://www.naturalpetfoodsaustralia.com/ For full details on Ziwipeak -
Help New Puppy Won’t Eat Breeder’s Diet.
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to kitcat's topic in Puppy Chat
We feed Nutro to our dogs and wean our litters on to it as well. As poodlewrangler has mentioned some of the dry products contain absolute rubbish. Nutro has no animal by-products, no chemical preservatives, added colourants, wheat, corn or maize. Although we start the puppies off on dry which has been softened this is only for the first few weeks of weaning, by the time they go to their new homes they are just on dry. We also feed Ziwipeak which contains no preservatives, fillers etc. BUT they do not make a puppy food so our 6 month old had her Nutro puppy and a little Ziwipeak daily. We also feed chicken wings, and sardines in oil. If you decide on a dry product PLEASE read the ingredients list and guaranteed analysis thoroughly before making a decision. -
What Do You Look For In A Vet?
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to Scoobie's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Very difficult to choose a new vet in a new country. Our vet is wonderful He treats us as an equal, he doesnt talk down to us, asks us in to the surgery, not just the consulting rooms. Talks in laymans language with things we dont understand. He is there 24/7 if we need him and will do house calls, although only 5 mins drive. He has personality plus and the looks to go with it :p -

As Miranda has suggested try Permoxin. Midol on these forums also had a flea problem similar to yours, nothing worked until he used Permoxin. -
My Dog Died From Hemangiosarcoma And Pvc Toys
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to ~Shepherd~'s topic in Rainbow Bridge
So sorry for your loss. What a tragedy. RIP Squid over the Perhaps it may pay to post this in general dog discussion and health and grooming as not a lot of people read the Rainbow Bridge. Dont think that this forum is the place to give you instructions on photo uploading, so perhaps a post in offtopic?. Take care -

More Poisoned Pet Food?
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to Ashka's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Ashka, the discussion here is on the possible recall of DRY food and whether or not those dry foods contain wheat gluten. Border14 Nutro does NOT use wheat gluten in their dry foods. Any information concerning these recalls should be avail. on the various websites. Nutro's website is: http://www.nutroproducts.com/ and you will find that the question concerning the recalls is on their front page. -
More Poisoned Pet Food?
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to Ashka's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Nutro is not affected by this latest development, this is taken from their website: "our dry pet foods contain NO wheat gluten and NONE of our dry pet foods are manufactured by menu foods"
