Whole Dog Journal..best And Worst Dog Food
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to panda's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
So if I want to find out the criteria used in making these decisions I have to subsrcibe and PAY a fee in order to obtain the information No doubt there are others who would be interested as well who do not wish to subscribe. Perhaps Panda if you already subscribe you can post the criteria here for any one's benefit. tpl, as mentioned there are a lot of products listed that are not available here. Panda dont see any point is just skipping those that are unavail. here, why dont you do some research on those products that are avail here and just list those?. -
Whole Dog Journal..best And Worst Dog Food
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to panda's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
What are the criteria used to make these decisions?. What is the point in posting this when over 50% of those foods mentioned are unavailable in Australia?. -
Apologies but dont think much of either VIP or Supercoat We feed Nutro (as the basis of their diet) which as 4 Paws has mentioned has Adult Performance for highly active working dogs and those that have trouble maintaining weight. We have one who even with performance is a little too ribby and we feed her satin balls as well. Most of the super premium foods have a formula as above.

Dol Blade Sharpener?
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to witheverythingiam's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Yup He offers a brilliant, friendly, service. Although in NSW they will turn around in 48 hours or less. When the blades are returned they are in a plastic bag with a piece of kangaroo pelt attached to the bag showing how the blade cuts once it has been sharpened. He was a professional dog groomer for a number of years at a very busy salon in Canberra. Also sharpens scissors and you can purchase clippers etc through him. -

Nicestman77 a member of these forums, in NSW but with express post will turn them around within 2-3 days. http://www.clipperbladesharpening.biz/SHARPENING.asp -
We feed Nutro and have been for nearly 8 years. We have also weaned our litters onto Nutro. Our 5 month old was weaned onto Advance and there were no issues with changing her over to Nutro.

Why Do You Feed What You Do?
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to a topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
MANY moons ago we fed dog roll and tinned We decided 8 years ago to try a kibble, firstly Eukanuba and Science Diet. The litter which we had that year wouldnt touch either and we were introduced to Nutro which they gobbled. This lead us to do more research into various kibbles and their ingredients. We have fed Nutro since as the basis of their diets (and have weaned subsequent litters onto Nutro) but also feed Ziwipeak, chicken wings, sardines and the occasional leftovers from casseroles. We have one bitch who has trouble maintaining weight even on Nutro's Adult Performance so she is on this and satin balls. -

Bitten off more than I can chew then for the moment, LOL. It was just an example, had re-sized it and was shot originally on full auto 16 months ago. Becoming a little more proficient at manual settings. Will see what eventuates in the next few weeks with the course. -
Have just started a course on photoshop but its only once a week and cant possibly wait until next Wed for help. :D We touched on using the Clone stamp tool and spot and healing brushes on Wed. (First week) Using this piccie as an example, how do I get rid of the handler. :D

I too wear glasses for close-up. Am learning how to use the camera manually, takes great piccies on auto. Make sure you get one with continuous action/sports mode so you can get your dogs.

We are pleased to advise that after a lengthy delay, not withstanding the weather, that our facilities are now completed. We look forward to having "herders" join us and hope in the not too distant future to hold trials, those for 2008 have already been booked.

Cross Post For Diy Dog Wash
ShesaLikeableBiBear replied to Bonduca's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
As poodlewrangler has mentioned it is a subject to do with grooming, not really a general dog question, therefore it makes far more sense to post here. Where is your poll?. -
Link to CCCQ http://www.cccq.org.au/documents/Field%202008.pdf HT = Herding Trials They are being held mostly at Durack (CCCQ Grounds) or near Toowoomba.

Have a webdesigner for current sites, but too expensive if I want to upload lots of photos. Hopefully will learn customising in the next few weeks. Dont mind spending if its easy to use.

Have seen that a couple of you have your own websites where you showcase your photographic works. Am hoping to start out in dog and horse photography initially. Am doing a couple of photography courses to enhance knowledge See that through betterphoto.com you can "get" a website. Any other recommendations?.
