  1. There have been numerous topics on control of fleas. By using the search feature you will find answers to many questions which have been discussed previously. Here is an example. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?act=...ghlite=%2BFleas
  2. We purchased the Barf, twin tank late last year. We have 8 dogs to bath and are very happy with it.
  3. Miss Aloof, we start feeding our sheltie puppies carrot at 5-6 weeks, never a whole carrot, just chopped up pieces, sure it might come out as orange pooh, but it doesn't hurt them in any way.
  4. One way of keeping a noisy litter of puppies quiet in the early hours is chop up carrots, they love them, we get some peace We feed every day a carrot or two (between 8) Had one sheltie who used to stand under the horse whilst he ate carrots and pick up the pieces that fell.
  5. Lamingtons and Coffee?, shame they cant be couriered to QLD :D Colin and wife are great, please say hi from us.
  6. Names: Odin and Bree Breed: Shelties (Shetland Sheepdogs) Age: 3 months on Christmas Eve. Live with Mum, Grandma, Great Uncle, Auntie, Great Grandma and their buddy Maddie (who we didnt breed)
  7. "Collie Nose" is also a form of Discoid Lupus. There have been a couple of threads on D.L.E.which you can locate by using the search feature of these forums. :D
  8. Being sick is one thing, walking sideways and running into things is serious, go immediately to the vet. Hope he's OK.
  9. Cowanbree, Panda is hypothyroid, he however did show the symptoms of loss of coat (the worst was his tail), reddish/brown tinge to his skin, was overweight and lethargic. His levels were down to 15, he is now on thyroxine 1.5 tablets daily and is a completely different dog, he has lost 2.5kg. and has a huge coat. Perhaps the answer you seek will be in the notes from Dr Dodds re supplementation when there are no clinical signs.
  10. We have two sheltie puppies, when they were very small (i.e. 2,4, 6 weeks) we used a liquid wormer. We now use Sentinel Spectrum for very small dogs (up to 4kg). They are both about 1.6kg and we do not break the tablet in 1/2.
  11. As WEIA has suggested a food dehydrator. We use liver. Avail from Harvey Norman and Clive Peeters. Sunbeam also make them. http://www.google.com.au/url?q=http://www....LUmgFkdlrYiUgOw
  12. We feed Ziwipeak as the basis of their diet. Both dry and canned. Largest bag is 5kg which we are able to purchase wholesale. Given that we have 6 adults and two pups who are being introduced to it, it doesnt last long Perhaps for some advice on setting up your store, contact: Breeders and judges and she is a member of these forums http://www.4pawsandmore.com.au/
  13. If I recall Kasper is quite a young dog and you certainly dont want him on any form of cortisone/steroid for any length of time. There is a human cortosteroid cream, Aristocort, which worked for Panda when he had D.L.E. which would be an alternative to steroids given my mouth. It will depend on what allergies he has i.e. grass, paspalum, wandering jew? Perhaps pop your questions into the sheltie thread?, there are a number of sheltie breeders there who dont often visit Health and Grooming and may not see your post. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...&start=7410
  14. We have the Ezi Dry Classic, similar to this but not as many trays. We bought ours from Harvey Norman 3 years ago. You should be able to gets the specs off the Internet. Suggest if you are drying liver that you don't do it in the kitchen as it is a bit pongy. Turn it on overnight. Soak the trays in the sink. http://www.organicsaustraliaonline.com.au/prod3987.htm
  15. If you go back to the thread which I started on Ziwipeak you will find the details of the importers. Suggest you contact them http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=152675
  16. We are feeding Ziwipeak to ours and no smelly poohs, no farts, no runs. It forms the basis of their diets, we also feed chicken, carrots and pasta once a week, sardines, and satin balls. All good here re coats etc, and pups doing well.
  17. Filtabac which is an antibacterial and sunscreen cream http://www.horsesuppliesdirect.com.au/category117_1.htm The problem will be stopping the dog licking it. If your dog has collie nose which is similar to Discoid Lupus, you may be interested in reading this thread. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...l=Discoid+lupus
  18. Can't understand why you are posting the ingredients of Nutro when it is no longer avail in Aust and hasn't been for some months?.
  19. Our two pups had the squits at 6 weeks old. Under vet advice we gave them scourban and fasted them for 24 hours.
  20. We tried Orijen but it gave ours smelly sloppy poohs, and wind, we have 6 adults, all house dogs, so not an option. Ziwipeak is grain free and it is available in 1kg bags, see my post on Ziwipeak.
  21. For those who have been enquiring about Ziwipeak Their website is: http://www.ziwipeak.com/nzl/home.shtml The dog food is available in 400g; 1 kg and 5kg bags, or 185g cans. The flavours are: Venison, Venison and Fish and Lamb. The cans are also in tripe, lamb and venison. Sample bags are available. The importers are: http://www.prestigepetproducts.com.au/inde...sid=&uhash=
  22. Perhaps you can quantify that Advantix is a spot on for PARALYSIS ticks.
  23. Unfortunately due to the irradiation requirements of Australian Quarantine Inspection Services (AQIS) this is why Nutro is no longer available here. It is A.Q.I.S, not Customs who are overall involved in what can be imported.
  24. Cream there is NO cream in Satin Balls if there was then wouldnt be feeding cream to my dogs
