  1. Goldchow, thanks for the updates Am here if you need any more help.
  2. Mona, your poem is wonderful, thanks ever so much Brought a few tears. Steve, thanks for posting the photos of the animals Hope Jed's operation today goes well Steve, if you need any more help with the ponies, or anything, please don't hesitate to email me privately. Now I know where to go with the help of Kyla QCR and her Dad, after the GPS failing yesterday, am only 1/2 hour away.
  3. So sorry to hear about Magnus Thaks for the update, goldchow. Steve the offer for the horses was there if it was needed.
  4. FTPO, awesome, thanks Will liase with Danielle in the morning and cover the schools and local businesses.(spell.)
  5. Kitkat and others who have offered to help clean up,. THANKS for your offers. PLEASE contact Steve/Julie first, she will know what the family need in the way of help. No doubt investigators will want to be there first after Jed is well enough to answer some questions. Seeing all "first hand" today with Kayla QCR was a liitle upsetting to say the least. JulesP, if needed we will take the ponies here. We are approx. 25 minutes from Jed's and have the space, plus can give them the attention/company they may require. Again, up to Jed's family, in consulation with Steve/Julie.
  6. Not a heck of a lot of "bush". Properties of 5-20 acres. Lots of feed for the ponies there plus what was delivered today, have to be careful that they don't founder from too much food. We are on hand as needed. Take care, Jed, pull through soon, rest as much as you need to and know that we are here for you ;)
  7. Kyla QCR, nice to meet you as well, and your Dad. Danielle (from the Vet clinic) is just short of the corner of Bells Road as you turn in from Bellmere Road. The famly have some posters and will drop in more tomorrow. I will bo to Bellmere Shops and if time permits to the schools, and Wamuran shops. To those who have asked I doubt that scanning microchips will be possible.
  8. Have just delivered hard feed for the ponies and met Kyla_QLD_Cavalier_rescue and her Dad No wonder Kyla QCR was in tears, it is just devastating. No sign of Magnus. Burpengary is a little far from Magnus's home, but if FTPO can send me the posters I can distribute them to businesses in the vicinity of his home.
  9. SND will be in touch re payment methods, postage when we are ready to go to print. WE HAVE PRE SOLD 295 BOOKS, YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME WILL LEAVE THIS THREAD OPEN UNTIL THE END OF MAY.
  10. NicGSDlover. The information which I posted re Magnus being black was given to me following a phone call which I made to someone who has posted here to say he/she had house sat for Jed last year when Jed was in Victoria. I CANNOT, AND WILL NOT be held responsible for misleading information.
  11. It would appear then that the description I was given for Magnus was incorrect. If anyone can help with a street walk/door knock tomorrow please PM me.
  12. PebsnMe the book is $15.00 plus postage which will need to be pre-paid prior to going to the printers. At this time not sure on how to pay as MDBA have their hands full with looking after a DOL member tragedy. I will let people know once this crisis is over.
  13. Fifi, I spoke to Steve who was happy for this thread to be started. It is a general call for more people to purchase the cookbook and thereby help the MBDA in this instance and in the future. I will change the topic title.
  14. Have spoken to guss, she is away but has given me a description of Magnus, he is a black cocker, mid aged?- she wasn't sure. Have also spoken to a friend who works at both Woodford and Wamuran vet clinics, her parents live nearby and will do a door knock this evening. I will meet her Mum in the morning to see what streets to need to be covered. The vet clinic is also aware of Magnus in case he is found. Will deliver feed to the ponies as needed.
  15. Further to the post started by Sway, re assistance for Jed , which can be read here http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=195776 MDBA Pacers are doing what they can in this tragic set of circumstances. If you would like to help the MDBA Pacers in situations like this you may be interested in purchasing the DOL Fundraising Cookbook, all proceeds from which go to the MDBA Pacers to help out in this type of tragedy. If you would like to show your support please add to this thread. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=194242
  16. Steve, we have offered help on I think page 12. We can get feed to the ponies through our local feed supply which is a 20 minute drive from Jed's. I can pick up or have it delivered. Alternatively they can come here where there is someone here most days. I can also co-ordinate with the vet at Wamuran re Magnus but will need a description. Can also do a door knock in the area tomorrow. You have my private email and phone number.
  17. So sorry to hear of this tragic news. We are approx 1/2 hour away if you need any help, we can help feed the horses, and if need be we could take a couple of horses, whilst Jed recovers.
  18. KR, an opportunity to learn there are some easy recipes, including microwave ones. :D
