  1. We have been feeding Nutro since 2000 with no issues. ;) During the tiime when the US made Nutro was pulled from the market, and before it became available as an Australian made product we tried Artemis, Orijen, and Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance, none of which agreed with our dogs. The only other product which ageees with ours is Ziwipeak, but with six adults it is a little costly. Ours are all house dogs and sleep on my bed so it's important that they do not emit too much gas. :D Whilst we now feed a 2/3rds home-made diet, the other 1/3rd is Nutro. We have a bitch in whelp and she is now on Nutro Puppy, we will wean the litter on Nutro to start with.
  2. We give Sentinel Spectrum monthly to our shelties, and purchase from www.pricelesspets.com.au, it's much cheaper, especially as we have six and a litter on the way, of which we will be keeping one, if not two, puppies.
  3. We will be there but on Thursday 05.
  4. Wishful thinking Bonduca  have our sights on this time next year. Hope to join in this thread with a new baby/babies mid Sept. :D
  5. Congratulations, Team Snag, look forward to piccies when you have had a sleep.
  6. Great to hear the puppies are settling and improving.
  7. Don't think we will title Odin this year he is on 47 points.
  8. Toohey, thanks for the updates on Jed. Kyla QCR, had a good laugh reading your post about falling head first into the mud. Love the piccies of the dogs waiting the return their Nanna. Jed, temp. has gone back up again in our neck of the woods, 16C overnight the last two nights, but it is to go down to 9C mid week. Another stunner of a day today, clear skies, a pleasant 22C, no wind, just perfect. We have visitors until Wednesday, three sheltie puppies and their Mum and then will convert our granny flat into the whelping room. Bree will be on day 59 from first mating as of Friday. Wait wait wait, LOL, you know how it is. Looking forward to the updates this week. :D
  9. Congratulations, love the name and what it means/stands for All the very best for the future.
  10. Cavalblaze, so sorry to hear about Mia. Although LeLe has taken a while to settle maybe it's been a case of "Mother knows best", which hasn't been easy on you. Hope you have a more settled night tonight. Your Lab friend sounds wonderful. Personally speaking I would also contact jerojath as he/she has offered to be a "sounding board" and it's always comforting to have another "ear" when one is going through such distress.
  11. Cavalblaze, good to hear nothing serious with LeLe. Will be keeping fingers crossed for the litter
  12. Cavalblaze, hope you get some answers from the vet Look forward to your updates
  13. So sorry to hear about your loss As Aziah has mentioned can you bottle or tube feed them?
  14. Six shelties aged 19 months-12.5 years. One is shown. All have free run of the house and house yard (about 1/2 acre) as we have a pet door for them. We play games with those who want to join in in the afternoons. We run a sheep herding training facility and four of them participate on Sundays, usually take two and then rotate them the next week. Although we have 40 acres they are not allowed romp of their own free will as we have other stock. If we have any youngsters then they are taken out and socialised e.g. show training, walk in the local village. etc.
  15. Congratulations, Cavalblaze Hope all goes well with the visit to the vets. PS Will keep our fingers crossed for daytime whelping
  16. Bree is starting to really fill out now. Two weeks to go. Although it's not particularly cold here yet she has taken to snuggling into her brother's sofcrate (which he sleeps in at night in the living room) during the day Newfiesrus, not long until 7th
  17. I did a couple of courses via University of Western Australia last year. Courses consisted of 12 lessons and one could ask questions/receive feedback on each lesson/post your photos for criticism etc. Each course was AUD$149. Mhttp://www.ed2go.com/SearchResults.aspx?query=Photography Most lessons when printed off were 15-20 pages with a test at the end of each and a final exam. Thought courses well worthwhile
  18. Replied to in General Discussion, PM if you need help

  21. Perhaps they have changed their minds then as I had Odin in a crate in the car We had a long chat about having dogs insdie as we too have dog friendly accommodation but do not allow dogs inside, it is against State health regulations.
  22. Thanks, have popped your names down. D4DOGZ, I contacted you. In my email thanking you for your support I indicated that I would be back in touch as soon as the book was ready to go to the printers.
  23. Thanks, TeamSnag, they are the motel whose link I have posted. Not sure when you last stayed there but they are under new ownership. NO DOGS inside.
  24. Have just returned home from a few days away showing at Bundaberg, Gin Gin and Maryborough. For those who don't camp can highly recommend this motel at Maryborough which is a five minute drive from the showgrounds. Easy to find, opposite the hospital. Very friendly owners PLEASE respect dogs are NOT allowed in the rooms. This is a state wide health regulation. http://www.caramotel.com.au/
