  1. LOL, rajacadoo, the weights of the two dogs are double what Jemma's (Bree's Mum) pups were at birth in her first litter. Little wonder she needed some help to get them both out.
  2. Thanks, all. We are often asked if Bree and Odin are B/C's  In the process of naming the litter both with registered and call names. Never easy.
  3. Sable and b/w on own are the dogs, the two together the bitches. Chubba bubbas
  4. Here we go  Sable on own is a dog, B/W on own is THE man, two together are the bitches.
  5. Keep looking for tan but can't see any These two are NOT going anywhere :D
  6. Our bi-black girl, Bree, gave birth yesterday to a bi-black dog and a bi-black bitch, replicas of herself and her brother, Odin She also had a shaded sable dog and bitch. All doing well. Will try for some photos later today. :D
  7. Thanks, we are over the moon. First pup born at 12.50pm last at 4.25pm. Weights: Sable dog- 332g Sable bitch -257g Bi bitch-285g Bi dog-334g Dare I say it but the dog is even "flashier" at this age than Odin He has a huge white collar, white on his head and tail. Will try for photos later today.
  8. Excited, rajacadoo, and understatement, simply can't believe we have a dog and a bitch again. The dog at this age is far "flashier" than Odin with a huge white collar, white on his head and a white tail, black as the ace of spades. Bree's waters broke at 6.45am. Whilst she was having contractions and was relaxed nothing was happening so we took her down to the clinic at 12.15pm. The sable dog was not in his sac and had to be pulled out, next two easy births and then the black and white dog also had to be pulled out. No ceasar though. First pup born at 12.50pm last at 4.25pm. Weights: Sable dog- 332g Sable bitch -257g Bi bitch-285g Bi dog-334g As Wynnlake remarked, the two boys could have been mistaken for Border Collies pups. :D Oh, and thanks also to our wonderful vet. Will try for photos later today.
  9. We mated our bi-black girl, Bree, to a sable dog who we thought may be carrying the bi-factored gene, as his Mum has produced a bi-black and his great grandfather and Bree's grandfather are one and the same, a bi-black. We are proud to announce the arrival today of a shaded sable dog and bitch. AND a relpica of both Bree, and her bi-black brother Odin, i.e a bi-black bitch and a bi-black dog. Can you tell we are excited. Many thanks to Wynnlake for coming over for the day, your help and support was wonderful and to Bonduca for keeping in touch via phone calls Off to get some dinner for OH and self, a glass of celebratory Merlot and then into the whelping room with Bree and her babies.
  10. Thanks again, Wynnlake, the tears are just starting again reading this, I simply can't believe we have a Bree and Odin replica. Shelby will email you tomorrow so we can have a chat about our babiies OOOOHHHH Wynnlake, hope you get Tyson cleaned up before your show tomorrow. Good luck Heating up leftovers and having a wee glass of Merlot Then off to bed, Bree is well settled
  11. Hey Shelby, congratulations. We have babies born on the same day. Am too tired to post much, had to take Bree to the clinic and just got home. All well. We have two shaded sables, dog and btich. AND We have a replica of both Bree and Odin Can't believe we have another two bi-blacks, woohooo PS Thank-you from the bottom of my heart to Wynnlake who spent the day with us, her support and calming advice was AWESOME.
  12. WOOOHOOO, WOOOHOOO, Nice to have you posting again Jed. Take each day as it comes You will be home in no time now. Brr it was freezing this morning in our neck of the woods, until the sun FINALLY decided to come up just after midday. Bree's temp has gone from 37.5 this morning, to 36.8 at midday and 37.3 this evening, she has refused her dinner again tonight and has had an "attempt" at nesting, hope it is not a false alarm and hope not an all night vigil.
  13. Pretty darn cool, mercedes Unfortunately OH has not been well and can't expect him to get up in the middle of the night Am hoping Bree will wait until tomorrow, as mentioned before hope it's not a false alarm either. PS Newfiesrus, hope to hear from you soon.
  14. Have just had an offer from a friend who will come out, even in the middle of the night , if needed. Certainly puts my mind at rest.
  15. Bree has refused her dinner and a drink, she has had an "attempt" at nesting, temp up to 37.3, hope it won't be an all night vigil and that she will wait until morning AND that this is not a false alarm
  16. Although Bree did eat this morning and there are no other signs, her temp is on the way down, 37.5 this morning and 36.8 now. May be a false alarm but will take her off to our whelping room after lunch.
  17. We feed a diet of 2/3rds raw and 1/3rd dry and introduce puppy food to our bitches who are in whelp at 6-7 weeks until the puppies leave home.
  18. Goldchow and Toohey, thanks for the updates, good to hear that Jed is improving daily. Jed, today has been the coldest day I can recall since moving to Woodford in Aug 2007. (Almost as cold as Auckland NZ in the winter except not wet) Has not got above 16.5C, but with wind probably more like 14C, little or no sun. OH lit our wood burner at 3.00pm, pretty toasty in here a.t.m. The smaller members of the Zoo are all tucked up. McGinty, the birman in the spare bedroom, five on my bed whilst Odin is asleep in his crate in the living room. Bree has gone off her food in the last 2 days but temp normal. Must decamp to the grannyflat with her tomorrow so she has some space away from the others. Take care
  19. It's going to be a long week, Mercedes Bree barely ate again this morning. Temp normal. Hope we hear from Nefiesrus soon.
  20. No news from Newfiesrus mercedes, Bree is a maiden, 59 days from first mating, albeit a tie, is on Friday, 63 from last mating is Thursday so who knows. Guess only time will tell, have started taking he temp as of today as she is off her food.
  21. Love the photo, TS. Cavalblaze hope your litter are continuing to improve Bree has started going off her food, will de-camp to our grannyflat tomorrow where there will be just the two of us for some quiet away from the other four legged members of the house.
  22. Golf shoes, they are super comfortable, the spikes stop slipping and come in a range of colours e.g. tan and white, buff and white, navy and white, black and white and pink and white. Have seen a number of other people wearing them as well.
  23. So sorry to hear your sad news, Cockerlover, ;) but gues in the "long run" fate played a hand. :D
  24. Hi Jed Good to hear you are feeling better. It's a wee bit chilly in our neck of the woods today, sun was out earlier, but now overcast, with wind up again. ;) A heap of washing on the line is not drying. Tried to do some weed spraying from the quad earlier but the bloomin sprayer is having yet another hissy fit, when it's good it is p*** poor and when it's bad it's non existent. :D At least with the wind have an excuse not to go out again. Will look forward to around 5.00pm when we will light the fire and be warm and cosy. Bree is coming along well, will keep you posted and upload piccies when she has whelped. In the meantime, take care
