  1. Taken thiis morning, they are all porkers, unfortunately my shadow was over the bi-black bitch. Of the sables, the bitch is the one at the front.

  3. Haven't been in there but my best friends used to own BPM. They leased it before selling and understand the managers are still there, they have a good reputation.
  4. TS, guess it depends on how cold it is, our weather has been crazy, one night 8C the next 16C. Have a heat lamp over the whelping box (rather than a hottie) which I leave on all the time and at night have the a/c set to 21C, with the box out of a draft. Ours are porkers but better to be safe than sorry. Shelby, great to have you posting, sorry about your loss, hopefully your wee boy will improve now that he is being tube fed and on antibiotics. Mercedes, thanks for sharing :D Don't know about anyone else but can't wait until the day arrives when they can go out into the garden, just love that time Our other dogs, notably Grandma, Gt Grandma and Gt Gt Grandma will also be looking forward to the first venture, let alone Gt Uncle Panda who sits by the door of the grannyflat crying. Uncle Odin has simply no idea what to make of all of this.
  5. Cass06 with Chinese cresteds is the next litter due. Ours are porkers :D Can you post a couple of photos here mercedes as we would need your name in order to access facebook.
  6. We feed our dogs 2/3rd home made and 1/3 Nutro, either Chicken and Rice or Lamb and Rice. We have a bitch with a litter of puppies and she is on Puppy Chicken and Rice. We will wean our pups onto Nutro.
  7. WAYTOGO, Team Chocolate Hate to think what may happen as he matures.
  8. So sorry, Mercedes. Sheesh it's SO SO hard at times
  9. The white blaze is a.o.k., it helps break up the black face, so many say they can't see the sweet sheltie expression with the black face, trouble is they don't look "deep" enough.
  10. Chubba Bubbas, weighed in yesterday, three days old at gains of 86g, 98g, 115g and 148g since birth. We like them to double their birth weight within a week, don't think it will be a problem here. :D JulesP we still have puzzled looks and that will no doubt continue with our minature border collies :D
  11. So sorry for your losses Monteba, it is so gut-wrenching, good to hear the boy who is being tube fed is coming along. Congratulations, Mercedes, hope you both managed a little shut-eye. LOL you had one born at 300g, whilst we had two at 332g and 334g, both elephants.
  12. Jed, great to have you posting again. Have some exciting news here, Bree had a litter of four on Saturday, am still stunned that she had two bi-blacks, one of each sex.
  13. Thanks, MM, still hasn't sunk in that we have two bis and one of each sex. We have an Odin here, so this will be Thor.
  14. Bonduca, looking forward to your next visit for herding and to see your little girl
  15. Thanks The bi-blacks are not the easiest to breed as the gene is recessive. To say we are over the moon at 2 litters in less than 24 months with both a dog and a bitch is a gross understatement.
  16. Partipaws, white is OK on the head/face. Will post photos to the other thread I started.
  17. tlc, we have gone the opposite way. Our dogs were always fed Nutro Natural Choice. When the US product was pulled from the market here we tried various brands until Nutro became available again as an Australian made product. There was never any question of our dogs not enjoying their dry food. We switched between Chicken and Rice and Lamb and Rice. Due to the fact that we were not happy with other dry foods we introduced a home-made diet and now feed 2/3rds home made and 1/3 Nutro with Ziwipeak on occasion. The dogs love the Ziwipeak but its very expensive when feeding six, soon to become eight, dogs Our home made diet consists of minced chicken frames which we purchase from Lenards at $1.50/kg buy one kg get one free. We do not cook it. To that we add pasta, Woollies brand V8 juice (it saves having to blend the veges), Natural yoghurt, minced garlic and apple cider vinegar. We used to give them sardines in oil but find that salmon oil capsules are much better for them.
