  1. sllebasi, the cookbook advertised on DOL front page is the first one that has just been printed. I have no "control" over any book orders, if you don't recevie the book you will need to contact Troy, the owner of DOL. This thread is about a new book which we hope to go ahead and have printed in the New Year, a slow cooker recipe book.
  2. sllebasi, Off topic is the 3rd last of the "topics for discussion" threads. You need to have 100 posts before you can access.
  3. Interesting topic re food possibly being the cause. Our grass is a mix of kikuyu, paspalam and cooch . We have eight shelties here and have never had an issue with grass burning. Our dogs ared fed a homemade diet the basis of which is minced chicken frames and Nutro. We don't add apple cider viengar.
  4. freundhund, we have sufficient meat recipes, but vegetable and soup ones would not go astray perhaps you could PM me and can let you know what we have in the way of soup recipes. :D
  5. Thanks GTchick, I think we have enough recipes, from the two threads in offtopic ;) Am sifting through a total of 117 pages
  6. Waiting waiting waiting, Becks for the thread to come up in Off topic and General
  7. Panda is the only one of my 8 who has been affected. LOL, have NO idea how much thyroxine costs, but if it keeps Panda fit and well then the $$$ don't matter. :D He is SO much a happier boy who loves his sheepies (we have a herding training facility). From memory (going back to 2008), results from medication took about 6 weeks to really "kick in"
  8. :D becks, another cookbook. Perhaps we should start a thread for dog treats/diet only
  9. Panda has hypothyroidism which was dignosed by a T4, we did not do the tests which Erny has posted as we were pretty sure what the problem was. He lost a lot of coat, had almost no hair on his tail, his skin was a rusty brown colour and he was overweight-all symptoms and was diagnosed in June 2008. He is on a dailly dose of thyroxine and now shows none of the symptoms described above. :D
  10. Have a horrible feeling you have your dates wrong Should read 20/21 November. If it is December then think it's a bit too close to Christmas
  11. Aussie Pet Resort at Woodford; Firethorn Kennes Glenview; Brisbane Pet Motel, Sandgate - chances are they are already booked out.
  12. Something tells me the the answer is no ?. Come on-be a daredevil flatchat, good to hear your book has arrived
  13. :D you will need to start the thread and hope you get sufficient recipes, chase DOLer's for pre-orders, tear you hair out that you are not infringing copyright, chase possible advertisers, and finally chase transport companies who promise the book will be deliverd by a certain date, and end up delivering a week later- willing to give it a go? :p
  14. Am "working" on the recipes from the threads, can't wait to try out some, enough to make one drool. :D Come on DOL'ers let's try and get the 2nd cookbook printed. We have 37 pre-sold so far, but need more ;)
  15. Chewbacca, no one has yet started a thread on making dog treats etc, perhasp someone could start one?. We have threads underway for a slow cooker cookbook and I am currently "working" on the recipes Must say there are some mouth watering recipes. :D CavNrott and LuvMyCav hope your books arrive soon
  16. Had a maiden bitch whelp in June. Her waters broke at 5.15am, she went through what you are describing and by midday we took her to the vet clinic. First and last puppies were huge, she had four delivered safely.
