That's what I thought you may have meant PF, was just checking though And I agree something was not right, the maturing and entire are probably the best scenario as to why, but I guess It's still speculation at best, It really could have been anything to spark It, but the fact of age and not being desexed a big contribution
-
I'm pretty sure I did read when the husband left for work, he left them all sleeping In bed, so I doubt It was life on a chain, he was entire though.

I agree 56kgs seems way too much for a pure bred APBT.... But It's the States where everything bigger Is better They are meant to be a medium size dog, I have yet to see any pictures of these dogs In question What do you mean poodlefan? are you talking about the female who was found cowering In a corner?
-
Looks like It Is confirmed that the dog was responsible, I do wonder why/what happened to spark him off, but that will never be known I hope they will allow the female to be returned to the husband LINK The pregnant Pacifica woman who was attacked by her pet pit bull bled to death, police said Monday. Darla Napora, 32, died of blood loss and shock, according to a preliminary investigation by the San Mateo County coroner's office. Napora's husband found her unconscious when he returned from work to their home on Reina del Mar at about noon Thursday. The dog stood over his wife's body before he dragged the animal to another part of the home, police said. Two officers shot the pit bull to death when he got loose from the backyard after police arrived, authorities said. A necropsy of the unneutered, 2-year-old male pit bull, Gunner, confirmed that the 125-pound animal was responsible for the attack, said police Capt. Dave Bertini. A veterinarian at the Peninsula Humane Society reviewed hair and tissue samples and blood evidence to reach that conclusion, police said. An examination of the couple's other pit bull, a female named Tazi, confirmed that she was not involved in the attack. Teeth impressions were made of Gunner and Tazi, and they were compared with Napora's wounds, Bertini said.

Too true, I've just had someone telling me that SBT and APBT are basically the same breed

Such a tragic event I'm not sure what to make of It, but until those reports come In, It Is still not certain on whether this dog caused her death LINK Greg Napora returned home for lunch yesterday in Pacifica, California to find his wife, Darla, lying dead on the floor and their male pit bull standing over her. Darla was six months pregnant. According to 'reports', he put the male dog in the backyard and called authorities. When the police arrived, Gunner got out and was immediately shot and killed by the police officers. Studying the quickly banged out articles from the San Jose Mercury News, San Francisco Chronicle and Huffington Post, certain facts seemed missing from the coverage. Reuters reported the woman as a San Francisco native and one story featured a ridiculous photo of a yawning pit bull on a city street. Had the media that dived into the frenzy done a bit more investigating, they might have discovered the real truth behind Darla's death. According to residents of the Napora neighborhood, the dog did not maul Darla Napora, "just found out that the woman fell off a ladder and hit her head...husband came home found the dog standing over her...he put the dog out side....it got loose and cops shot the dog...thinking that it had mauled the lady. The dog had blood on it's body because he was trying to nudge her to make her move...."Darla's father, Doug Robinson was quoted as saying, "Lets wait for the autopsy I talked to the police and will wait for the professionals to make a decision I have been a police officer and a detective for several years. This is my daughter and I will wait for the evidence." The people who covered this story need to re-examine the facts. Hopefully, an autopsy will be performed and answer the many questions left gaping and open in the articles. If discovered Gunner was innocent and pawing his mom to 'wake up', the dog is still dead. The female pit bull, guilty of nothing, was sent to Peninsula Humane Society, also the county dog pound. The facility's history with pit bull breeds is not very hopeful, so her chances of being saved are probably slim to none. The death of a pregnant woman is a tragedy to horrible to imagine. People immediately jumped on the pit bull hate train with remarks like, "pit bulls should be terminated FOREVER," "exterminate that nasty breed once and for all," and from a wildlife volunteer, "these are not dogs…they are a different category of beast" pulled from SF Chronicle commentary. Until the coroner's report is disclosed, no one will know the whole story. Hopefully, the report will convey exactly what happened yesterday at the Napora household. Sadly, with this kind of media coverage, everyone suffers. Pit bulls are sitting in death row shelters waiting to die in the millions as it is. With coverage like these stories, millions more will die needlessly.

Have only just put my dogs back on It In the last couple of days, I did notice It looked different to the last time I used It which was a few months back now. They seem fine with It so far, but then my dogs aren't fussy eaters and will eat anything even If It doesn't agree with them In some way or another. But unfortunately nothing In that price range that I've tried seems to agree with all of them, hence going back to feeding Bonnie. It's never really been the same though from when they changed It a few years ago, which Is a shame

There are no exact estimates to what you're asking, so why are you plucking up % from thin air except to favor your argument to ban

Amstaff First Time Breeders...many Questions!
RottnBullies replied to Amerigo's topic in General Dog Discussion
What a load of crap! So all breeders show their dogs now do they! She doesn't need to go prancing In the show world to know If she's a good example of the breed and worthy of breeding. There are plenty of "other" activities people can do with their dogs apart from showing. ETA: Have a look at what's happening In the show ring with Am Staffs! IMO too many way off In their standards. Some are so huge they can almost pass as Mastiffs -
I couldn't agree more, I can't understand why this place gets so much In donations, when there are so many others who do a hell of a lot more for their animals on less money and are so much more deserving of funds More money for that green stuff you like to use so much Dr Smith! How about actually using It for the animals In your care and their desperate need of new facilities just for starters!

On Canon: aperture priority = Av / shutter priority = Tv I'm great at overexposing and I think white dogs are hard to capture, but I thought I should finally start playing with RAW Images and granted that my processing skills aren't that great, I'm Impressed with what I was able to save from my overexposed shots, here's an example So yeah technically tlc there is a way to save blown out shots, but If It's too blown out I guess even In RAW It can't be saved PC has offered some great advice, I'm still trying to master the white dog dilemma

Thanks for that WoofnHoof, hopefully It's not contracted straight from the bats then, I wish I could take them trees down, but they're massive and I rent Maybe I will temp fence around them while they're coming Into fruit and hopefully they won't spread their droppings too far out. They're damn messy though drop and waste more than they eat, I'm forever picking up sloppy fruit of the ground!
-
We have had 2 years of bat problems here. I saw my first colony of them a few months ago, i almost crashed the car i was so amazed. I have NEVER seen anything like it, the numbers of bats were amazing and the damage they did was shocking. It looked like those haunted houses on TV with bats flying everywhere. 2 days later they were gone... i dont know how you would cull them? They moved so fast I've also had them In my backyard for the last 2 Spring/Summers feasting on plum trees, I'm sure one of my staffs eating the bird droppings underneath the trees, It never bothered me but now I'm going to be pretty worried this Summer as I'm sure they'll return I'm gathering It's all types of bats that carry this?
-
Well I would think all the more reason why this dog shouldn't be PTS then, he Is not a danger to anyone! Far out surely owners can fight this can they not And a horse actually recovered from It and was then also killed! I just don't get It
-
In which case, it might be quite useful from a medical perspective. Poor dog's probably wondering what hit it. My thoughts too, I can't understand why they can't use this to their advantage In learning more on this disease, rather than just kill the dog and be done with It
-
I agree I don't think that testing positive is enough, It may well be that he may be positive but not a carrier of the disease, who knows They obviously don't know so the easiest solution Is taken, In killing the dog, very sad Indeed for the dog and his distressed owners

Dogs Shot By Police In Kenwick, One Dead
RottnBullies replied to White Shepherd mom's topic in In The News
I guess we'll never know the true facts, although I do find It odd that the police would release their dog knowing there were unrestrained dogs on the property. I can understand that happening In an emergency case but If this wasn't, then I think they should have forced owners to contain their dogs before they let him out. Sad for all the dogs Involved In this, more Idiot owners where their dogs pay the price for their owners stupidity! -
The dogs most likely belong to the local indigenous community. I would Imagine that they're used to this and have been used as hunting dogs for most of their lives, they certainly looked like It was a normal occurrence for them and they knew what they were doing. I certainly won't judge them either just as I wouldn't judge boar hunting dogs

Yes, but with pits being allowed In so many different colours, I would have a hard time choosing but I'd have to say I've always had a soft spot for the all whites, followed by buckskin, blk/tan, black, and tri and also the moo moo pits (Pie Bald) Off course everything else In the dog has to be considered as well
