Yes Chloe thought Aunty Antoinette would be very proud of her!!! All in a days work really!!! She was snuggled in bed belly up this morning, thinking she's the antz pantz. You're absolutely right, it's amazing what they've been through, and what we thought was the end of the world.... has all become so positive in so many ways!!! They truly are amazing things aren't they? I think both our girls deserve bravery awards... I mean, to scare off potential robbers to your house!!! That's HUGE!!! Doesn't matter what she'd do face to face... and remember, they have surprised us many a time before, so you just never know!!! However, I'm quite positive that Chloe would defend to the death (unless of course they left the door slightly ajar... she would run and hide, but hey in extreme circumstances she might overcome that fear!!)... although touch wood it would never come to that!!! Our girls are just absolutely marvellous aren't they? It is weird how coincidental our lives are.... but I guess it's sort of like that saying 'great minds think alike!!!" hahahahhaha Hooray for the NEWEST SUPERHEROES.... Mallee Moo and Chlo-Bo!!! Watch out world.... where there is a crime, the new Super Duo won't be far away!!! -

Oh i have to tell you guys what a proud girl I am today!!! Chloe the wonder dog averted an attempted robbery yesterday (okay it may not be as dramatic as it sounds.... but I'm still proud!!!). It all started when my dad and Chloe were out in the front yard waiting for me to get home from work. A young boy on a bike came past my dad and stopped and asked for his help as there were 3 older boys chasing him trying to steal his mobile phone and wallet etc. My dad, thought he would help by hiding this boy behind our gates in the back yard until the others had gone and given up. So off they went, and before they reached the gate the other 3 boys found them in our driveway. Of course, they came straight for the boy (regardless of my dad, who is a big man... the balls of young kids these days!!!). THAT IS, until Chloe planted herself firmly between them and my dad and the young boy. Her hair went up, she crouched down low and snarled in her meanest growl. NOW THIS, stopped them in their tracks, and they all looked uncertain as they decided what to do. Then Chloe started with her tough girl bark, and they slung some obscenities before deciding it wasn't worth testing the little red dog, and scampering off!!!!! SOOOOOOOO, how is that for brave? Yaay for my tough little girl!!! CRISIS AVERTED!!! CHLOE SAVES THE DAY!!! ;) Pfffffffft, what bung legs? Nothing stops Chloe the Super Dog.... ;) -

Yaay, you're back!!! Lovely to have you back, I was getting a bit anxious... missed you lots!!! Well I'm very proud of Mallee as well. It was a big test for her, and apart from a few hiccups she did very well. You have mentioned before she was a garbage guts, but she REALLY IS!!! That's unbelievable. Chloe is bad but at least she is selective in what she will consume!!! She obviously had an upset tummy hence the grass eating. Chloe is the same and when you see her nibbling at the grass you know what's coming.... I wonder what it is about grass that helps them to throw up???? Should try it next time I feel sick!!! heheheehhe I'm so pleased you had such a wonderful and relaxing break, and that it all went so well. Can't wait for more pics.... I'm so jealous, but now it's back to the grind hey? You guys make me feel better when you panic so much over Mallee, it makes me feel good I'm not the only OCD.... I tell you what, Mallee Moo really does seem to find all the trouble anywhere she goes, but hey, it toughens her up (although I think a fish hook in my foot would be worth a good howl)!!! OUCH!!! And now you can feel much better taking her away again now that you know what she can do, how she will behave, and what needs to be worked on!!! She really has come through her adversity so well and you have every right to be so happy and proud of her.... but remember who got her there!!! You two deserve much of that credit. Nothing exciting happening here... Chloe has runny eyes and I think had some runny poos this morning, but she seems fine (other than a bit sooky). Better go, people are starting to arrive at work.... soooooo lovely to have you back Antoinette!!! Lotsa love, Kel and Chloe -

Hi Bilby!!! What fantastic news about Bouf, he seems to be going great guns!!! I'm so pleased that the newest patients in Jordan and Bouf have come through so well.... we've got a great strike rate on this thread!!! Also good to hear that you have found a new vet that you have so much confidence in. I would also like to do the same, but as Chloe is getting on now I feel it is not right to change at this late stage. She's doing okay, she's such a tough bugger anyways. She is losing weight and looking very svelte lately, which I'm really impressed with. It's been colder here lately so she has been a bit slower getting up and down, but she is showing no signs of pain or limping and is still waiting at the gate when she hears her lead rattling for walkies. So I'm very pleased. Like I've said before Bilby, I wish I had known alot more and saw this coming.... but that's what we pay the vets for. I guess if you haven't had a dog with such problems before it can't be helped. I had previously had an old girl with arthritis and the symptoms were the same, the vet never mentioned cruciate until late last year so we weren't really to know any better. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but luckily both Chloe and Bouf (having endured pain and the long healing process) have come through better than ever.... so for that we should be very thankful. We have all been very lucky to have had such great results. I don't think I've ever heard of a surgeon doing the procedure 'just in case'!!! How horrifying. I know the stats are pretty bad for the second leg also blowing, but from all I've read they usually do follow up xrays and do not consider the surgery again unless the other leg shows signs of a bung cruciate. I think you're on the right track with xrays every half year or so to keep a check... and we all know the symptoms now, so I'm sure Bouf will be fine and if the worst happens, you'll know the drill!!! Keeping the meniscus in was also good... at least there is some protection between the bones. Chloe is meniscus-less TOTALLY, hers were totally trashed!!! I believe that the meniscus flapping around when it's damaged is the most painful part of the whole situation, so Bouf was lucky. I have heard though of dogs having to have it removed at a later date as it does damage over time, so just another thing for you to watch!!! Our dogs must get so paranoid of us watching their every waking movement. I still freak out if Chloe jumps up too fast or moves awkwardly... but she grins and bears it... and I'm not too sure she doesn't secretly love the attention!!! I put a 'saddle' on her today and made her be a Melbourne Cup runner... was very funny and kept me amused. She wouldn't budge at first but once she saw me rolling on the floor laughing at her, was very happy to parade around and give me a bit of a gallop!!! Wouldn't put my money on her though!!! Although she did win quite a bit in our work sweeps (yes she always gets entered.... she loves the Cups too!!). Let us know how you think the Sasha's works Bilby? I know it's not a miracle cure, but I do feel it's helped Chloe out, as does Kim with Jordan. Yes work is a bit of a bummer, but I can always be sneaky!!!! I just learn to be more careful that's all!!! I feel it is my stress relief from the crap I put up with in my office!! Anyways, can't wait to see pics of the 2 newest bionic dogs... Congrats on such a great result Bilby, it was a really stressful time for you with so much else going on, but you've made it!!! Hugs to the Bouf-ster, Kel and Chloe PS.... WHERE ARE YOU ANTOINETTE???? -

Hi Kim, thanks for the update!!! Glad to hear that Jordan is doing so well... Chloe is on Sasha's too and she loves the fishy taste and smell. You've just gotta post pics of Jordan squished into his shell... that's too funny!!! Poor Jordan we use him so much for our own amusement!!! Chloe is doing well, she's a happy girl and we are slowly getting all her winter coat out. For a cattle dog, the amount of hair that's coming out is truly shocking!!! But she looks skinnier now (plus she has lost some more weight :D ) I'm not on here as much cause my work is cracking down on internet usage so I will have to log on at home (usually too lazy!!), and I try to get in here as much as possible!!! So good to hear positive news from you though Kim, let's keep hoping Jordan continues to improve!!! Have a great weekend all, Kel and Chlo-Bo -
Cruciate Ligament Damage
Kelly_Louise replied to Runter'n'Puby's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hello! I agree with CavNrott, the sooner you get a diagnosis the better. Whether it be cruciate damage or not, the longer a dog has problems with it's legs undiagnosed and not properly treated, the arthritis kicks in FAST. My girl also suffered for a long time before we finally got referred to an orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed and performed 2 tibial wedge osteotomies on both back legs. The result..... absolutely FANTASTIC. My only regret is not knowing about it sooner, and knowing that in that time Chloe was suffering because we were given inaccurate advice. And her arthritis advanced so quickly in that time. I think the 'normal' surgery being referred to is sort of like a suture method, or where scar tissue is allowed to build to support the cruciate ligament. Not usually recommended for bigger dogs, and Chloe was also not recommended to have this surgery (and she is 27kgs). The osteotomy techniques provide alot more stability (in my opinion anyway) for bigger dogs. Chloe's involved cutting a wedge out of the bone just under her knee (at a very specific angle) and then have the bones plated together to heal. It adjusts the angle of the knee, giving the knee stability and negating the need for a cruciate ligament. There is no longer a risk of reoccurring damage to the cruciate, I one of the risks is that the screws may back out or the plate come off before the bone is healed... which i believe is a minor worry. Chloe, at 8yrs has had a miraculous recovery, and I sooooooo couldn't be happier with her. It cost (all up with after care) about $10k in total to have both legs done, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The aftercare was stressful and slow, but again, worth all the agony... and apart from being confined for a period to restrict her movement, she really didn't seem to suffer too much at all. Anyway, hope some of this info has helped, and hoping you get the answers you need soon to get your boy on the road to recovery. -

Welcome back Bilby ;) We've sure missed you too!!! Yeah you've had a run of bad luck lately, but things are starting to look up. Here's hoping the new additions to your family will be safe and healthy. And to hear that Bouf is doing so well is fantastic news!!! Can't wait to see pics of our new Bionic Dog. Good to have you back!!! Forgot to add.... I turned my back for 2 seconds this morning and guess who I found sitting up proudly in the front seat of my car??? Yep, the girl had snuck in the cheeky bugger (and was also sitting ON TOP of my lunch and handbag ). I can't tell you the amount of hair I now have to rid my car of, but I was so pleased that she CAN jump into my car (which is pretty low anyway, but not the point!!!). Of course we carefully carried her out (much to her dismay) so it looks like we will have to take her on a nice drive somewhere fun very soon.... especially so now that she doesn't have to use the car to go to the scary vets anymore!!! -

Hi all, hope things are well. Would love to hear updates on Jordan and Bouf, they must be close to getting final verdicts now? Well Antoinette is on holidays for 2 weeks or so, so we will miss her... but I hope they have a great time and that Mallee enjoys her first real holiday (and behaves herself). That also gives you two weeks to talk about her and then edit (heheheehehe, joking!!!!). Can't wait to hear the holiday stories that should come out of this trip, and can't wait for you to get back buddy!!! Safe travels!!! -
Ooops, double post sorry.

Hey BullyLuva, Just wanted to add my condolences on the boards. Cassie looked such a lovely girl. She is now pain free and happy with her buddies, frolicking in the sunshine. RIP Cassie  Such a beautiful girl will never be forgotten.

Hmmmmm, yes you're right... the purple harness DOES show he's in touch with his feminine side... How much in touch is the worry!!! ;) He looks gorgeous still, and practicality is the main thing (see Antoinette he's a PRACTICAL male too!!!). Great news that the vet is happy with him, you must be doing a really good job with him. Chloe is also on Sasha's Blend (hey something else they have in common). I used to buy it from the vet and I think it was around $60, last time I bought it from the VetStop (www.vetstop.com.au) website and it was $45 plus postage I think. Pretty good seeing I bought a bunch of other stuff too. There are other websites that would probably be just as cheap too. I think some are listed in the DOL advertisers. Chloe really likes the stuff, I think it makes her bland diet food a bit tastier. It lasts her well into the third month, but I do give her slightly more than the recommended dosage!!! I heard Joint Guard is pretty good too. But Sasha's has been good for Chloe so I'm happy to stay with it. They have some other bite types and capsules too if powder is not convenient for you. Laziness is no problems for Chlo-Bo, she's the queen of lazy... although once she gets excited there's no stopping her!!! Nothing you say can dissuade her from making eyes at Jordy... and she also sends a sexy wink!!! Hehheheheehhe. Corine, I'm sure Dunc's head is swelling from all the attention... but he's a stunner and he knows it... I guess if you've got it, flaunt it huh? Just lots of heartbroken pups along the way... 'sigh' Chloe's just too old for that... Naughty girl Chloe found some bread that the idiot next door neighbours just keep throwing over the fence. It's really making me angry... no matter how much we throw it back over their own fence they just keep on going... I'm at wits end. I caught her this morning and got to her just before she swallowed it... and she got a smack. I know it's not her fault, and as much as I'd rather smack the neighbours, she must learn not to eat strange food. Easier said than done though... Anyone have any ideas on how to stop the neighbours? If we were to ask them to stop (as we have) it will make them more determined (obviously no love lost between us)? I was thinking maybe to send a letter saying the RSPCA had been warned and given photographic evidence and that if they continued they would be fined by the RSPCA? Sounds dumb I know but I don't know what else to do. They throw over HUGE amounts of bread. Anyways, better go... put on your thinking caps and help me think of a way to deter the neighbours... I have PMS so am way too emotional to be rational Lotsa love, Kel and Chlo-Bo -

Yeah the Chlo-ster is a bit rough around the edges... no pampering and very little bathing. Duncan is too high maintenance... he's what we call a 'metrosexual' dog. He looks stunning and takes more time getting pampered than the girls. Can regularly be found preening amongst all the pretty, swooning, adoring fans... Chloe doesn't stand a chance. But you do bring up a good point with Jordan... But he can't help it how mum dresses him (oh goodness a Mummy's boy!!)... he does feel embarassed about it, so he clearly doesn't enjoy it!!! ANYWAY, Chloe just so happens to like purple... her favourite bunny is purple, and it brings out the violet in her eyes... so she happens to think he would look pretty suave in purple (will reserve final judgment until we see the brightness of the purple though....). Nothing wrong with purple... -

Nah you're not a sook, it really was bloody sad huh? Well I'd love to come along on hols, but my boss thinks I'm indispensible, pity he doesn't pay me like I am I'd love to be able to say that I am too, but I can safely assure everyone that I'm not!! Geez if billowing curtains scares the bejeezes out of Mallee Moo, I can't imagine what being in a boat will do!!! Hey you must promise to show plenty of pics!!! Chloe's nose is out of joint lately... Mallee has been flirting and making way too many goo goo eyes at Bouf, so now Chloe wants a boyfriend too. So I've lined up the candidates. Firstly there is Duncan. Handsome, suave the whole kit, however may be a bit overactive for ChloBo. Chloe thinks age is just a number and would like a toy boy, but we think that Duncan may be a player... just secretly :p . So he's been ruled out for someone his own age. Then we thought about Jordan. Now he's a handsome boy too, same age group so activity level is on par, nice strapping boy (Chloe doesn't like short asses), and they have their war injuries in common. We think this could be a match made in Heaven, so now Chloe is going to make eyes at Jordan. :D ;) ;) Hey Kim, thanks for the update, hope your appt at the vets goes well. Sounds like Jordan is doing well, I guess they can only improve to a certain level before it starts to slowly plateau. Lucky you having only 2 months of Uni to go too... what ya studying? Still working on the pics Antoinette, will definately post them at some point. My blue ACD girl is not to be missed, she was stunning (but I may be biased)!!! And Sam was such a lovable mutt!!! Anyways, better go back to all my very important work :D Lots of love (especially from Chloe to Jordan), Kel and the Chlo-ster -

Ahahahahaha, but my post last night was so good and i was a bit crappy when i lost it!!! I will recreate it from memory... Firstly I was saying something about how jealous I am... your holiday sounds so peaceful and like heaven. I agree that playing nurse on hols doesn't really qualify as a holiday, so I'm thinking your LOOOOOONG overdue. And I'm sure Mallee Moo will absolutely love it (no billowing curtains out in the bush)!!! I'm hoping to have hols soon but probably nothing lovely like yours. OH and I never seem to be able to co-ordinate our holidays at all I can come and be Mallee's babysitter should you and Brock need some alone time... I'm sure we'd get along fine, but with her 'issues' with other dogs I think ChloBo should stay home. Two psychos in one place can only mean trouble... and I'm talking about the furry kids, not ME!! Now onto the cat brushing tale.... the picture of cat hair snow reminds me of when I was a little tyke and mum used to spend HOURS cutting our Old English Sheepdog X. We would come home and our HUGE yard would be literally covered in black and white clumps of hair (this was all before dog grooming became popular). And Sam was such a sweetie she would patiently lay there for hours. They should just learn to tell us what they like anyway... it's not like we know from experience... I've never had a hair problem that someone felt they had to get a brush out on me!!! Chloe hasn't had any ankle in her diet lately... thank goodness cause it really scared me. However a friend dropped me off at home today and was greeted by a fairly gruff Chloe who insisted on being very protective and giving my friend the 'wary' bark. This signals that she's not sure if she should like my friend or not, and it's not too scary, but scary enough if anyone had any intentions of hurting me!!! What a little trooper - my personal pocket protection. Then she escorted me back to her food bowl and ensured I was safe enough to cook her dinner... I guess there's gotta be something in it for her too!!! Hey Antoinette I was also thinking that we always seem to appear on the same threads all the time... now it's either we have nothing better to do... or great minds think alike!!! I prefer the latter cause you know... I'm very busy and important!!! ;) Good to hear updates. Corine, absolutely no news is good news!!! Bilby, you're run of luck is shocking and hopefully FIL is okay. But the news on Bouf is exceptionally good... can't wait to hear of his antics. The damn pics won't work for some reason... says they too big but I've reduced them down so small you'll be suing me for eye damage. Oh well, will try and work something out and scan them seperately or something. Basically I wanted to give you a laugh over me as a little tyke (with my beloved girls though). I've tried a thousand times and now I'm tired and just a bit cranky... I should really not come home and sit on the computer when I've been on one all day... such is the life of an Analyst. But wanted to catch up and say HI!!! Got some good new pics of ChloBo too but they are on my phone... and well, that's a whole other drama... :D Take care guys!!! PS. If you are a bit of a softie, I'd advise to stay away from Bilby's sheep thread... it doesn't have a happy ending and brought some tears... -

Me here, me here!!! I know Bilby's around too, I saw her post regarding the massacre of her sheep... poor bugger. We doing good. Hey loved the pics of the little tyke (when she WAS a little tyke that is!!). Too cute. She really is a very lovely girl. Not much going on here. We have finally got Chloe out of her brushing phobia , but I think it will be a cold day in hell before we conquer the bathing one. Seems she just doesn't like being brushed in one direction. Yes weird, but I thought her skin or something was hurting, so I would just brush LIGHTLY in one direction. However, it appears that she likes to be brushed with this new brush very hard in a circular motion. Gets much more hair out, and she will lie on her side and go to sleep (like she does when I give her a daily massage). Go figure??? I thought it would annoy her more, but what would I know? So anyway, she's quite pleased with this new arrangement (especially when there is nummies at the end), and I'm getting enough hair out of her to knit 10 jumpers. Geez she has some hair. Now we just need to work on door/gate closing phobias, although I think that one will be Mission Impossible too!!! Gotta leave her with some weirdo traits!!! I tell ya what though, her pure joy of life lately is enough to bring a big smile to my face!!! I watched her chasing (not really - more so being a petty bully) to the birds this morning with a big smile. Gotta love that. How you guys doing anyway Antoinette? Lucky you going on hols... where you off to? Yes I know what it's like to have a nurses holiday... not much fun at all so I'll be glad when mine come up too. I'd be really interested to hear how Berly and Bilby are doing with Jordan and Bouf too... they must be coming out of their recovery periods now.... Lots of love, Kel and ChloBo (minus a kilo of hair) -

Yes Bilby, we will be waiting for an update... waiting for some more news from Berly too!!! We doing well. Chloe has had a few more limpy days, but gets through them okay, and it's not too obvious, so not too bad. It's just us with our forever watching and following her around that we notice!!! She also now has a complete phobia about being brushed She does the same routine as when she knows she is having a 'bath' and runs and hides on her bed when I get the brush out. Even doggy treats don't work. The only way I could brush her on the weekend was to put her collar on and tie her to the chair I have tried all brushes and bought a new super soft one (in case it had something to do with skin, but she's never had any skin problems), but still hides at the mention of either B word. Goodness she can be a weirdo sometimes. Gotta love her, but I told her if she doesn't behave she will be a stinky dog with all her winter coat through the summer. But does she listen to me... NOOOOOOOO!!! Otherwise, she's gorgeous and well. How about you Antoinette? Any more Mallee Moo 'moments'? -

Tooooo funny Antoinette... geez she takes her modelling very seriously, look at that pose :p !!! *all said while shielding eyes from unmown grass... what grass?* To be honest, I think she rather likes that sock... brings out the colour in her eyes!!! I just loved the pics, and I think it's the first time I've seen Mallee in full and standing. She's a very impressive and gorgeous girl Antoinette!!! I can see why she rules the roost there. She's looking really good. I guess we can laugh now... not so much at the time, it was a bit , but all's good now. How is she enjoying her walkies now? Glad to see her up and about and injury free (fingers crossed and touching wood). Chloe's doing well, the nutter she is. Wind is not good, it brings out all her weirdness... but we're coping!! We've had one bad day where she was a little bit limpy (I think after giving what for to the neighbours from hell), but she's pulling up well now. Weight is still the big issue How are all the other patients doing? Love, Kel and Chloe -
Sorry Shaun, can't help with your problem... although I just have to say that's one damn cute pup. :D

Hehehhe, I bet poor old Jordan was cringing in embarassment!!! *Please don't let the other dogs see me in THIS!!!* Great news that he is recovering so well. Just remember to take it slow and give him time to build his strength up again, and this will help stabilise the knee. Hope you have a great time on your couple of days away, you sure deserve it after all the work you have put into getting Jordan to this stage in his recovery so successfully!!! Hope that the SWF neighbour will stay on his side of the fence and not annoy Jordan... I guess if I was his size I'd have a low threshold for SWF's too!!! Hopefully seeing Jordan's recovery has been so quick and uneventful that his personality won't change in anyway and it was probably just a minor disturbance to his life, rather than a long drawn out affair like Chloe, Mallee and Duncan. Antoinette, yes I do remember you mentioning you were going to have her desexed... maybe give the poor bugger a chance to relax a bit before going back for another procedure. She sure has been through the wars, and I can see how it's so hard to plan when she keeps trying to be a superheroine and go through windows... You're vet must just rub his hands together when he sees you coming!!! $$$$$ Last night mum told me that Chloe has some smallish lumps on her legs... I'm hoping that this is fairly normal. I can't feel them myself, although I wasn't exactly allowed to feel for too long before Missy got upset. I'm going to have to find them myself, and maybe take her to the vet. Although she was there a few weeks ago for needles and yearly health check up and she was felt all over... so not sure? I'm not panicking yet as I know she's a tough bugger and we couldn't be that unlucky for something bad to happen now??? Maybe we are just too obsessed with her health now... the last lump that mum thought she felt on her belly was.... yes a bit hair knot that Chloe wouldn't let anyone brush out There enough to drive you batty aren't they??? -

Wow the naughtiness is really coming out... maybe it's the weather? Although it's not really funny is it? Poor Mallee probably did get a bit of a fright at the strange looking dog with collar on it's head. And of course she would have been stressed just being at the vets. So perhaps it was just a quick reaction as she has been off the social scene for a while. We forget that for such a young girl, she has been confined way longer than many of our doggies here, and she's been through much more. I'll bet she'll love going for a walkies tonight, you'll have to hang on for the ride!!! Glad to hear that Mallee Moo will make a good recovery, and you're absolutely right... a strange toe is the last thing that should bother her!!! No I didn't know the man that Chloe nipped. He was a friend of the older lady that lives a few houses up. Chloe goes to visit her everyday as she lost her own dog earlier this year. He was dropping her off and came inside for a bit. The worst thing is that the leg Chloe nipped is apparently the leg he had not long ago had an operation on. Not that it would effect anything seeing it didn't even break the skin... but you know how people can be. Did not hear anything else, so hopefully it will be a lesson for us to be more careful with her. She thinks all houses belong to her unfortunately, so she was probably trying to round him out!!! It's so hard to be angry at her though, she's such a snugglebug. But gotta be a bit more strict now for her own sake. I don't like people having a negative opinion of her cause she has been through alot and has tried so hard and deserves some cred for that (plus I'm biased and think she's the greatest!!)!!! Hopefully this will be the last vet vist for Mallee for a while. And I'm sure she'd be glad of that too!!! Are you having her desexed Antoinette? My OH's GSD is not desexed yet and when going into season it's such a pain in the bum (I've never experienced it, never had an undesexed dog and we've only ever had girl dogs). He doesn't want to get her desexed as he thinks it's cruel, even though he had to have his elderly GSD (who has since passed) desexed at a very late age due to her health complications. She's such a lovely girl though. I should post some pics of her.... she was a rescue girl with serious problems at first but has become so lovely (although can sometimes still show some signs of aggression to strangers or anyone she thinks will endanger her or anyone she loves). Anyway, better be off guys, I've rambled heaps!!! -

Thanks Corine, glad we are not the only ones... Guess who spent all night last night trying to retrain her and teach her not to nip or snap... She seems to be responding well. I think she's also been a bit spoilt since her ops, so I am trying to re-train her over again. But she seems to be starting to get the drift that she can't get away with murder anymore. I don't like her at other people's houses anyway, or around too many strange people as she gets nervous... but it's better if I try and get her out of the habit and to respect the 'rules' again. Anyways, hopefully she will be okay. I guess I kinda understand after all she's been through. And there may be some pain or something that makes her moody, who knows? Usually she is such a good girl though... and it makes me worry. She's always had an independent streak, which is what I lurve about her... but never been so naughty. Oh well, something for us to work on!!! So Antoinette, how's Mallee after her stitches came out? Love, Kel and ChloBo -

Stitches out tonight for Mallee!!! Good luck with that, hope it all goes well!!! Yes you MUST post some pics with her sockette on, it will give me a laugh So will her toe be normal now, or will it be sticky uppy sometimes? Let us know how you go Antoinette!! Not happy at the moment... Chloe (in true heeler nature but very much against her usual nature) nipped an old man on the ankle yesterday. No blood or broken skin or anything, but he wasn't happy. Hope nothing comes out of it. She never usually does that. She was on lead in a house, and the man was patting her and she was fine. It was when he went to leave and walked past her she went into 'round up' mode. She has been so naughty lately. That's the problem with all she's been through, she can be a bit unpredictable and moody sometimes... I'm sure she thought it was a real hoot though... Hugs to you all, Kel and the very naughty Chloe -

Oh pffft, those are minor details Corine... still doesn't change the fact that we think she's a beauty!!! Doesn't matter if there were 50 entrants, she's our champ!!! So guys, how are you all doing? How's the patients going? -
