  1. I wish your little one all the very best, and I hope she makes a full recovery and shows improvement soon. Are you required to wash down the areas she has been/infected in your house and yard? If not, can a dog that has survived parvo be re-infected from it's own yard again? Sorry I'm a little parvo-ignorant (thankfully I've never had a brush with it... touching wood)
  2. Great news - and I think it's very wise to stay cautious to ensure a total and GOOD heal. However, I'm extremely jealous you are adopting a greyhound... I want one too... (but it's not the right time for Sash yet)
  3. I have to admit, I do really like mine too... even though I could have kept using my Petbarn bag... I feel kinda cool with my Houndbag and it's not so cumbersome and big, and I don't have to stuff my phone in my pocket anymore
  4. HIDE THE SQUIRREL!! I see it! Chloe has a 'Hide the Catepillar' toy... but she took the hiding theme a little too far... she took all the caterpillars and buried them in various places in the yard. Took us months to find them, and one is still missing... but, she certainly hid those damn caterpillars!!!
  5. Sorry, but I do hope you get it sorted quickly though. It's official, these bags have caused nothing but grief, embarassment and confusion!!!
  6. Yeah, I don't think the part you can use as a collar can be removed from the strap... I think you can buy a collar seperately though.
  7. Yep... definitely faulty... HOWEVER, the plus side is... don't you feel SO much better knowing that it's an actual fault and not because you just couldn't figure it out?? Hope it gets resolved quickly for you
  8. Oh - and the new one of course... WFT Which is used for a really annoying SWF - and means... WHITE FLUFFY TURD
  9. I do hope you receive yours 16paws Get Whippet, not sure I can help you... mine definitely had a metal ring and the plastic clasp to put it all together... can you send a photo of yours?
  10. Wow... that's all I can say right now. Hits home hard. Those graphic shots just shatter my heart... how do humans do such things to these beautiful dogs???
  11. Oh goodness, even the thought just turned my stomach. I have an old horse myself (and a very old boy who passed in 2006) - and can't bear to imagine what you went through. I'm really sorry...
  12. Chloe and her monkey... Sasha with her tug rope and with moo cow
  13. I just love this pic Sasha's favourite toy is me and OH Chloe's favourite toy is a squeaky, fluffy monkey - and a little bandage bear she found once... she treats them like her children.
  14. Totally agree with everything you said spottychick... people just feel helpless. A furry family member has died, there's nothing they can do, no one to help them, no justice - and to top it all off, they go to face the owners and have 'don't tell me your problems' attitude thrown in their face. I tell you, the ranger would have had to hold me back if someone had given me an attitude like that (after their blood smeared dogs had just killed my pony)... It seems that no one can do anything to protect their property and family these days. You ring the police and get the - do you have evidence - we can't do much - if we talk to them it will probably make it worse so best just to leave it - type mentality. People are frustrated with the laws, and I can understand why.
  15. On Sunrise news this morning they said it was still being decided if it was going to be put to sleep. I'm assuming they would have made a decision by now (or is that just giving way too much credit)? Perhaps K9angel can tell us the ACTUAL truth... as opposed to the media version of the dog attack by the staffy cross or pit bull cross ...
  16. Yep totally agree! They can certainly sense our frustration, so just try not to react to the cat being there... just to his carry on.
  17. Yep no need to apologise, I'm happy with mine regardless, and at the price The circumstances certainly weren't your fault 4paws
  18. The pedigree range would fit a standard 500 or 600ml water bottle quite easily, or even 2 bottles. If you're talking a litre or more in the bigger bottles then probably not. There's actually quite a bit of room for stuff in there (well considering that I don't need to put poo bags in them )
  19. On Sunrise this morning, the news typed down the bottom referred to the dog as a Staffy cross... but when it was verbally announced at newstime it was labelled as a Pit Bull cross... Perhaps they were just trying to see what would evoke the strongest reaction... With the neighbour going on TV to tell what a vicious dog it was, I wouldn't think it stands a chance. K9angel, I do hope that all the family is okay
  20. You can get them from www.houndbag.com.au - however they are at RRP of about $49.95 plus postage. But I like mine so much, I would pay the full price too for one Edited to put correct website in
  21. Doesn't change anything for me... if I'd been told I wouldn't get the colour that was advertised as available, I would have been more than happy (to either cancel or decide if I wanted the colour that was available). But, as the customer paying the money for the product advertised, I wasn't given that option. It was a great price, and I do appreciate that - however that doesn't mean that customer service should lack or it becomes a case of 'get what you're given' - as there was nothing in the ad to indicate that you could not choose the colour you wanted to purchase or that they were to be selected and sent out randomly. To me, it's just not the way it's done and not the service I expect. But I'm happy with my purchase. So... neutral.
  22. I left neutral feedback today... reason being - they shouldn't advertise what they don't have, and they shouldn't agree to send you a certain colour if they can not. However, it was a good price and I really like the bag.
  23. Yes I'm a little suspect on their 'story'... some of it doesn't quite make sense or add up. And yes, they didn't realise they were selling to the DOL crowd - which is a difficult mob to please at the best of times
  24. Totally agree with you, I was not happy either and I let the seller know. The reply I got was they pretty much sold what they did not actually have and then they put in another order from the supplier but the supplier found out they were selling them at cost price and cracked it! This was the response I got from the seller.. "We had an issue as the makers of the bags were very annoyed that we were selling these at cost and refused to supply us the bag designs we needed to fill orders and only gave us Lyla's and demanded that we sign a contract to sell these at RRP of $49.99, This left us in a bad position. We will not sign a contract of that demand and are more than happy to offer you a refund on the postage of the returned bag. These orders were all printed off on the same day and we had limited stock and was waiting for hound bags to deliver the required bags the following day, When they found out how much we were selling these they decided not to provide what we needed and charged us $25.00 per bag and $20.00 freight and the postage cost us and extra $8.00 per bag, so we are out of pocket. The description for the bags were the red dotty and these were shipped first (5) and then the remaining were placed on back order. Requests for other colors came in later via email and we held these as we were hoping the company would provide the correct bags needed. This did not happen and as a result the sales of these were mucked up. All you need to do to return it is mark the envelope return to sender and this will come back at no cost to you." What the seller should have done is contact all of us to ask if we want the Lyla bag or a refund, rather than just send the wrong bags out Totally agree. When I first emailed them and asked for the Red Dotty (and also put it in the message to seller in Paypal) - I was told there was definitely one left for me. Then, there wasn't and I had to wait until Monday. Understand that something went wrong and they didn't get them... BUT... they should have at least left a message and told us what was happening or if we actually wanted the Lyla. That's what a good seller would have done. The communication was very poor - they knew how many they had, they knew which people had requested a certain colour first, they agreed - then gave them to other people who didn't even want them. I mean, come on, it's not like they sold 50 or 100 of them for it to be so complicated... But anyway, the Lyla one is not so bad... and it was half price... so we'll live with it
  25. Yep I agree... they would be incredibly easy to sell, they are just adorable as puppies and even a bit older... but not for everyone - and probably NOT for people that would purchase from a pet shop in the first place... Do pet shops provide any breed information? - written or otherwise?. (serious question too, I dont go into pet stores and I wouldn't have a clue what they provide ) Do that people that buy these pups have any idea of how big they can grow? Most people would have some idea of how big most of the more 'common' breeds will grow and most of the SWF mixes are exactly that- small and fluffy, but when it comes to the less common breeds I would think that the average Joe would have no idea Maybe a breed information sheet detailing exercise and feeding requirements plus the size of a full grown adult dog might make people think twice. Sadly I doubt many pet shop assistants even know what the dog look like past puppy stage Only a few weeks ago my 9 year old niece was telling me about a school friend of hers that "used to have a snow dog but they had to get rid of it because it grew too big". Dont people consider that when they BUY the puppy???! No, no and no to most of your questions SecretKei. If they told impulse buyers of the potential reality it might not make the sale... may not paint the puppy in such a cute light. And honestly, even if they did - there are still people who wouldn't care - because it's just too cute don't you know? Although, the GSD that I know of that came from a petshop they did give feeding tips (and a super premium brand too)... but I'm guessing that's because it's just the brand they sell as well (more so for the extra $$ than for the dogs welfare). Maybe that's a bit harsh, but I don't think most petshops have any clue...
