I would go the ultrasound for a heart murmur, not x rays. For the quoted price I would expect a Specialist to do the Ultrasound at a similar price if not less. How come the cost for xrays is so high for a Chi x ......... it is a very small dog, I don't get why the expense of it??? ETA; Why do you need to do the test to confirm a heart murmur, are you wanting to grade it?........is he showing other signs of concern?

We give them bones from about 4 weeks onwards, as soon as solids are introduced so are the bones. (most will only suck on them when younger)

So very true!

I too like it this way, random listings. Doing it in Alphabetical listing by the exhibitor name is not always fair either. My surname starts with B so I am always up the front and if I was to take my OH's surname, it starts with A, I am still at the front. I also like the idea at Specialty Shows in having the class in age order, especially in the Intermediate Class , Australian Bred and Open from oldest to youngest.

I didn't know you could fail the exam :D I do think a twice fail and a 12 month wait is probably a good thing. Good on Dogs Vic for doing this.

Great pic of Mum and babies. It is very interesting watching who is who in a litter. And that's what a litter is known as around here........ "the time wasters" but oh how sweet it is! Look forward to watching them grow up!

Name Those Hard Working Stewards
Stolzseinrotts replied to Ceilidh's topic in General Dog Discussion
I am not great with names. After a long break from the Show Ring I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the Stewards. Some I know the faces from years ago and some are new faces to me as Stewards, but without them and their generous support we would not have our well run shows! You are all very much appreciated!!!! So a BIG ;) :p :p -

I love seeing Frodo and his antics. He so makes me think about getting a small dog, ie Frenchie, what a clown he is and he must be so much fun to live with! Thank you very much for sharing and making me smile!

How Many People Here Use Berwick Odc's Facilities?
Stolzseinrotts replied to Paulp's topic in General Dog Discussion
Some people live to complain (ie: whinge) about things.............I wish the club lots of luck in getting a permit for the extra shed. -
Wow, that would have to be a record for the longest I have heard a stuffed animal lasting with a dog. She really does love her teddy ETA: there are some very cute pics in this thread.
