Pheebs I am sorry to hear this. I would take a little time about making a decison on what to do at this stage. I agree with Aussielover I wouldn't do it mainly due to the age of Tess, but hey we are all different. Best wishes to you and Tess what ever you decide to do.

Tilli at 6 .5 weeks. This bitch tends to carry well and not really pop out until about 7.5 weeks plus.

SBT101, Cyndalu is looking rather large. Wishing you and her all the very best, not long to go now.

Congratulations Bokezu. I hope they all arrived OK, the xray said you had 10 pups from memory so I hope all have arrived OK and they and mum are doing well? I look forward to seeing your post some time today.

You can fit the microchip numbers on the form. Trim the top and bottom of the sticker and it will fit in the allocated spot. I have even had the VCA office give me scissors when lodging a litter regsitration form personally so that I could trim them to make them fit on the form, so I know they will accept the numbers that way. I agree a modified form would be better but I would only see that happpening once all the other forms are used up. How many have they got I don't know but as mentioned we now have 30 letters in total to work with and that has been two years plus now. I am all for microchipping, I have been doing it for many years now and am happy to see it become compulsory for canine council registration. To me it is another way to varify a pedigree so that it matches the puppy. I am all for DNA for proof of parentage as well. IMO, Sadly the credibility of the honour system went out the door a long time ago as some people's ethics dropped and the almighty dollar corrupted these types of people. We see it time and time again that a pedigree is questioned and sadly we are now seeing many puppies not being what they say the are on their pedigrees due to the ability to now have a parentage DNA test done.

Shekhina, I am sorry that you are having to go through this. I can say that our Tilli did the exact same thing as Daegon and it was caused by the big hard orange ball. You should have seen the lump that came up it was the size of a kiwi fruit. It was fluid build up with hardness in it as well. It was where she belts the ball with her legs. The fluid went down after a few days of her not playing with the ball. The other leg has a hard lump on it as well. Both lumps and fluid is caused by the hard ball and the enthusiastic play that the Rotts do. If you want to see pictures of Tilli's legs to compare I will take some for you. I wouldn't be worried too much as I have seen it here with a few of mine.......all caused from the ball. ETA; The ball is a great toy for the dogs to play with and the stimulation and pleasure they get from it far out weighs me taking it away from them. I live with the hard lumps / callous type things as they enjoy the ball to much and it has yet to affect one of my guys movement.

schwarzbear, goats milk can make some bitches and or pups loose in their bowel movement. Some dogs tolerate it better than others. You could add some farex to the goats milk for mum to help bind her up. I have had pups with loose movements due to goats milk. Since your pups are a little older and approaching 2 weeks you could also add a little farex to help bind them up. Or alternatively you could use the Leerburg puppy formula here................ Link it does work a treat!

Thank you for sharing that video, that made me laugh. I agree that more practice is needed, the lack of rear action is very funny!

As suggested I would be testing your bitch first before trying again. Did you prog test before mating her???? Bitches fail to concieve for many reasons, usually timing is the number one reason.

She is starting to rapidly expand now at nearly 5 weeks. :D Tilli had 11 pups in her first litter, she is showing sooner this time so it will be interesting to see what she has this time.

Uk Kennel Club To Further Limit Litters For Bitches
Stolzseinrotts replied to lappiemum's topic in Breeders Community
A bitch like that is worth their weight in gold! And I agree they are the ones that should be contributing more to the gene pool because of the quality they do produce. -
Uk Kennel Club To Further Limit Litters For Bitches
Stolzseinrotts replied to lappiemum's topic in Breeders Community
As usual, more rules for those that already comply and conform with a COE and Kennel Council rules and no accountablity for those that don't have to be bound by COE's and rules. How long before we have this rule come in here??? We already have the close inbreeding rule coming into effect soon. Breeders are told what they can and can't do, gee soon enough and we will have no rights what so ever. I really feel for those with the toy breeds that have very small litters, it really makes it hard. -
What Has He Done To His Back Or Legs?
Stolzseinrotts replied to Bokezu's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Good Luck Bokezu, I really hope it is just a muscle / back problem from the quick jump / startle he reacted to.n (which is what I would be thinking it is due to the sudden onset). One our our dogs did the same sort of thing, he was really in a lot of pain. Hunched over and basically refused to do anything. Had him up to the Vets as it went on for over 24 hours of crate rest, gave him a GA looking for a spinal problem, x rays and scans everywhere, could not find anything wrong with him. When he woke up he was fine, it appeared to be a sciatica (sp?) type problem and the GA relaxed him enough to allow his back to go back by itself when he was out to it. Next time it happens I will know what it is, and will give Anti Inflams and crate rest for 48 hours. Touch wood it hasn't happened again. Fingers crossed for you. -
x 2 x 2 the grooming powder / hair tumbleweeds somehow finding its way onto my black dogs.........
