Fordogs that is a super pic of Mum and babies. Ouuchh! I am sorry but I had to have a little laugh at your walking into the wall. The girls have to make sure you are so very tired and exhausted before the pups arrive. I hope your nose is better. (I have a night light in the hall way now as I have walked into the wall before) Well we still don't have any puppies, we were up and down last night like a yo-yo. I could be so lucky and have a day time whelping, hahaha I am so kiding myself! So we continue to wait and wait. :D

A side profile of Tilli with her half sister sucking up!

This is a pic of her and the ball taken this afternoon after a good hard session of playing.

Thanks ForDogs, yes she is due tomorrow. Again I say you were very lucky with your litter, they were huge!!!!! My girl Tilli had me up 5.30am this morning, they make sure you are tired before the pups arrive, well mine always do.... Pic of her fat belly taken this afternoon. She is playing hard with her ball today as she always does. But last time she played hard, ate well and then delivered 11 puppies for me on time, so it is hard to tell with this girl when they will arrive, but not long to go now.

Congratulations to all the new mums! ;) Fordogs they are big puppies! The largest I have had was 615grams and 600grams, one litter that consisted of two very large boys only. Our Rottweilers are larger than a GSD, glad to hear they arrived safely.

I agree with this statement!

As stated a desex tattoo. I think in Vic it is still option for the tattoo. I do like the fact they can put a M in the other ear to notify about a microchip. But you would have to still be able to read the tattoo as Microchips can and do move about the body. Ear tattooing was a way for certain breeds to be permanently identified (eg; GSD's, Rottweilers) before the microchip came along. It was usually a series of say 3 letters and 3 numbers, the letters identified the kennel and the number indicates the puppy number so that they could be recorded and matched up with the pedigree and required for proof the dog is what the pedigree says it is. Hope that makes sense.

^^^^ This does need to be clarified. I have a 1/2 sister x 1/2 brother litter about to arrive in a few days. I have plans to do another similar breeding down the track but it would not be for at least another 12 months or so. Where would I find the clarification on this????? ETA: I didn't think 1/2 brother x 1/2 sister matings would fall into the proposed rule changes? I really need to find out exactly what you can and can't do.

What Sway and MM have said. It confirms pregnancy but is not accurate enough for numbers. Good luck!!!

Great pics BB of the White Sheppie in the little dog box!

Any health food shop will have them, we got some 4 months ago and it is the Blackmore's brand, which come to think about it is the one I have used each time.

Like I said in a prevous post, I would have thought these shows would be cancelled due to the safety risk. I had entered these shows, and was so very much looking forward to going after hearing all the good things about this weekend. Also it would have been my last show for the year. But I am not going based solely on the safety concern, I called it early (Monday due to reports in the areas and predicted weather and conditions) and have cancelled accommodation. I do not want to add to the SES's troubles in any way as they have one hell of a job on their hands without the added "tourists" going into the affected areas. I also do not want to risk my and my dogs safety in any way for a ribbon. Coming from an OH&S side of things the risk was not worth it. If the shows are cancelled I would not be expecting a refund, the weather is an act of god so to speak and out of the Show Committees hands. I am confident that all or most of the exhibitors who had entered this weekend would be happy to NOT ask for a refund if the shows were cancelled due to the circumstances. But hey that is IMO. edited for spelling and clarity.

Sounds like he is dreaming to me. All of our dogs it. Some bark, growl or howl, obviously it depends on what they are dreaming about.

In all honesty, I am surprised that these shows have not been cancelled based on current situations in and around the area. With the further forecast of rain mid week I would think that the shows would be cancelled due to the fact that near-by areas have been declared natural disaster areas and areas further down the Murrumbidgee River are on flood watch which is being notified on a regular basis. Also I would have a concern for safety for all of the judges, committee and exhibitors and dogs who have to travel into the area and may have to take detours due to floods and bad roads or be possibly be exposed to high risk situations. But hey, I am just looking at the safety side of things and the fact that more rain is forecast. Lets face it the club can't be held responsible for what is considered an act of God and I get that the local community would miss out on income but to me safety is paramount and should always be the primary factor in any decision. I will be watching this thread to see what may become of the coming weekend.

When Is The Blood Loss Just Too Much?
Stolzseinrotts replied to Bokezu's topic in Breeders Community
Bokezu glad to hear that the discharge has settled down. Hoping all is OK. I have had a bitch with a heavy discharge for some time after, a large litter and oxytocin was used along with an AntiB shot. Nothing wrong at all but her previous litter of the same size she did not discharge as heavy? Go figure they sure do give us a worry at times. -
Loving the pics of the babies :D ;) . Not long to go for a few us now. The belly shots of the pending mums are great! ETA; It would be great being able to have the whelping box up high but alas large breeds mean back breaking work.
-
Congratulations Bokezu and Mum. :D Get some sleep and rest and I look forward to seeing pics of the babies. ;) ETA; the memory failed me you did say 11....congrats! It was me who guessed 10.....
