Rottsup, I don't have any information to add, but a loss of a litter can happen for a number of reasons. You always wish you knew why, most of the time you won't and you will never know. I am very sorry that you lost this litter, I know how much you were looking forward to it.

Hey Rottsup, I have purchased the puppy collars that the link was posted for by Bokezu in the second post in this thread. I will be using them on my guys when they are a little older. Great value for money IMO. You just need to get your ribbon colours the same for when you use them with your litter then you have no confusion who is who when you go to the collars. :D I have also received my order from Pupcolors and I must say I am very very happy with them. They are not as stiff or bulky as the other puppy colour collars on the market (I have the others and I haven't used them as they are to stiff and bulky). I had some breeder friends here in the last week and they all agree they much prefer the Pupcolors over the other type of Puppy Colour Collars.

I have been told a number of breeders in the USA have done it that way, each horn and got pups from both sires with very high post thaw motility rates, but those that used low PTM semen got little or none. Given the semen used that I know of was from live donor dogs and not deceased dogs where you have no chance of getting more of it and trying again. I personally would breed to each sire seperately to increase your chances as the post thaw motility will decide on which has the stronger sperm and better chance for conception and I would hate to neutralise one lot of semen by using both sires. Even natural bred dual sired litters have mostly produced from one sire not two. I will be interested to find out what you do decide to do. Good luck!

Our guys are up walking around albeit as blind bats as we have no eyes. They have been scooting about the box like drunken idiots for a week now. I am surprised at how quick they have got up on their feet (although still wobbly), maybe it has t do with the rush for the milk bar.... . Day 14 and we are starting to see slits for eyes, they are growing well and so far I am very happy with them all. We will need to get two boxes for them as they are really starting to get a bit squashed when I put them in there to change the bedding.

Congratulations to all the mums, sorry to hear about your girl Monelite. At least you have some of her progeny and a great size litter to choose from. Time is flying by isn't it. ;) Love all the puppy pics. SBT101 love the pic of your girl, she looks so happy! And the babies are beautiful. :D Partipaws beautiful little balls of fluff. :D Fordogs those pups are bloody huge for their age! Looking forward to seeing all the puppies grow! You just can't beat puppy breath can you. ;)

What great PR for the breed! Rottweilers were used as draught dogs many years ago. It is one of their many talents. :D I love seeing Rottweilers pulling a cart. Kudo's to the Rottweiler owner, but I have a feeling I know who that is and I think if it is this person then yes she is a Dogs WA registered breeder and is doing the Rottweiler a huge service for showing them to be the great stable versitile dogs that they are. :D :p I hope to be seeing competition carting here in Australia in the near future, it is a huge sport in the States.
