  1. Tapua, I believe from memory you need to add as required, cracking it as you say or placing it in moisture will activate the seed but its properties once activated only last for certain period, hence adding it to food as required is the best way to administer it. We have been using it for some time and the dogs coats are looking great. A little goes a long way!
  2. Bulldust, thank you for sharing the pictures of the little ones. They sure have grown, I got to have a cuddle with all of them when when they were visiting Shelleybeggs. Both Shelley and Zed_n_Q did a super job with them and they were very much cared for and gots lots of cuddles and one on one time.
  3. Thank you tarakay. Congratulations to all the winners!
  4. Great advice given. I would be adding chicken frames as well, the ribs are a soft bone and the babies can eat them easily. Plus they take time to grind them down and they have to work to eat them, and added bonus. I am a big fan of goat milk! ;)
  5. Sounds like a great night! Good luck to all the entrants.
  6. Thank you for posting results. Congratulations to all the winners!
  7. Thanks BB. How is your girl doing by herself????? Will we be seeing her around the ring?
  8. 4 bums! I am resolved to the fact that it is impossible to get all 13 in one picture......
  9. Great idea Rottsup!!! Shipping semen is costly, whether it is domestic or international. The freight charge you have been given is rather good in comparison to what I paid to get semen from QLD to VIC. But at the end of the day sharing a container is much cheaper for all parties. Some of the costings I have had to bring semen in from OS has been rather scary. ;) Then you have all the bloods etc on top of that!!! Australia is very hard to get semen into the country from dogs in a Cat 4 country........
  10. Actually I believe this to be more common than people think. It would explain why a lot of litters are lost after confirming pregnancy at about 28 days. I know of a number of bitches who on their next pregnancy have been monitored and this was found to be a problem and therefore would cause / explain the loss of a previous litter. I was so sorry to hear about your lost litter and Mum who is looking for her puppies, very sad. I wish you and her all the very best for next time.
  11. SBT101 so sorry to hear about your son, ouch! Sorry BlakB I have been busy with the pups, puppy people and of course the older dogs. Time sure does fly by doesn't it! I will get some pictures up in the next day or so. We are in for some seriously hot weather here in Melbourne and I am not looking forward to it at all. The Adelaide people have had it bad for a while and I think Perth as well. Fordogs great pic of your pups, they sure are a great size. How are they all doing? BilboBaggins the mud monsters have not really surfaced much at all since the rain came because with it came the grass.......oh well it was nice while it lasted. I have my Vet come to my house for vaccinations and chips, there is no way I am carting 13 puppies to them....or any other amount to them. I have been doing it this way for some time now and it works for me! Oh and teeth, who said teeth, my guys have very sharp ones that like biting your ankles, toes or any other part of you they can try biting on to......
  12. Thank you for the news, I hope Prof. Wyburn is on the mend soon. Hmm I may wait a while to get some xrays done and hope he is back on board soon.
  13. I agree with you about the money making scheme. I really get annoyed at some Vets and their need / drive to make money and or do unnecessary surgery.....it makes my blood boil. As advised, Limit the activity until the growth plates have closed over, you can still do all doggy things but with care and I recommend seeing a chiro / physio on a regular basis. I am so very very glad to hear that this "Urgent surgery" was not needed and totally uncalled for. And I am sure your puppy is happy about not having to endure this.
  14. Go Syrah and Rakaaz, you both do the do the breed proud!
  15. As the other have said. I would ignore it, let them make idol threats. I would tell them if they continued that a report will be made about them for harrassment to the police and that you will be seeking legal advice in due course about their actions. Like really, what drives some people, I just don't know. I really dislike bullies. Some people need to get a life. ETA: (I should read things better) If there is nothing in writing and only a lease on the pup then really how can they prove what was required by either party should it become a legal matter. Also was there a time frame on the lease? Accidents do happen, and things like that need to be in writing should something happen. Like I said above, let them know that further action wil be taken for harrassment should they continue.
  16. They now spend the day outside and they are loving the extra space as well as all the good things to do, plus all the extra smells and noises. The poo patrol is getting heavier but hey that is part of it all. And this cooler weather is great for all us I think, I know Mum is liking it better than the heat.
