  1. Thank you tollersowned, I had a quick look online it looks great. I like tha carport for each room, that sure is a bonus!
  2. Can we see some of the models and their new leads??????
  3. Thank you Mercedes, I have stayed there before and they have been great. I will more than likely book a room with them as they were very accommodating and I was very happy the last time I stayed there, I think they now have new owners??? Sadly though, like many, I know they have been burnt by some not so nice dog people previously.
  4. I am very sorry to hear about your dog. May he RIP Thank you for posting this information, if it saves one dog it was well worth it. Let us hope that the message will be spread far and wide and no more will succumb to it.
  5. I am hoping somebody here can help me, please. I have searched the old posts but for the life of me I can't find what I need. I am looking for the listings of accomodation in the Albury area. I am wanting (more so hoping) for information that may allow me to have one quiet dog in a crate in the room as I am only taking one dog with me and I don't want to bring the trailer for only one dog. I would much prefer the dog with me in the room as she is a house dog rather than sleeping in the car. Happy to pay a pet bond for the opportunity. PM's will be OK should you not wish to advertise which Motels / Parks thay may accomodate me with this request. Thank you in advance.
  6. Congratulations to all the winners and grinners. :D :D Also a big congratulations to the Committee on a well run show, all your hard work is greatly appreciated.
  7. I charge more for Mains register pups that are purchased outright.
  8. In Victoria when you use a stud dog the paperwork is supposed to be signed and given to the bitch owner at the time of mating. Hence you would in that case expect to have to pay a stud fee at time of breeding unless you had prior arrangements. I would also expect to get a copy of a stud agreement prior to the breeding so that I would be happy to go ahead with the stud of choice or look for another if I didn't wish to comply with the stud contract. Edited to add the outside stud dogs that I have used payment was made at time of the breeding.
  9. How good is that! I did something very stupid and sent mine off to the AVA as per my vets recommendation, they went to Canberra only to be sent back to NSW for some anonymous scorer to score them (i only know this because i rang to see what was happening), it took a bit over 6 weeks, in the end i rang them twice to finally get my results over the phone because apparently they wont send my results or my xrays back to me .... grrr What... why won't the send your xrays back???? That is very strange, at least they should send them back to your Vet? Thank you Erin for letting us know that Wyburn will no longer be reading. Rakaaz, that is excellent turn around.
  10. I am sorry to hear this news, how very disappointing for you. I hope that you get this resolved soon.
  11. You could order one through Great Rugs
  12. I would suggest the following; Reword the add, it is amazing how rewording and sometimes simplifying an add can get a lot more inquiries. Also get some qoutes for freight and crate hire, one to Melbourne and one to Sydney and put that in your add, if people have an idea about what it may cost they could be more interested. I wouldn't drop your price, but as suggested start training and mention that in your add and also mention if and when the 2nd vaccination is done should you still have him. Good luck!
  13. BIG 6 Dobe RUBIG 6 Sibe Sorry I have no idea who they were. Weather today was cold, unlike yesterday's warm day!
  14. I would after much thought and consideration go with a tandem trailer next time I build one. My recent trailer is only about 6 years old and I had it built to order. I would now change a few things for my next one and definitely would have dual axle next time. I am not a big fan of electric brakes (seen many units fail) having had hydraulic on the horse floats I would be happier with them, but that is me. What ever you decide we want to see your new trailer when you get it built.
  15. I believe in RAW feeding and have done do for over 16 years now. All of my pups are raised on RAW with a small amount of quality kibble given as well. Reason being I know most puppy buyers will not carry on a total raw diet but most will use a quality kibble with fresh meat, raw meaty bones with some other extras like yoghurt etc. I supply two diets for the puppy people, one that is totally raw and the other is 80% raw with some kibble. I also suggest the BARF type patties that you can now purchase (wasn't around many years ago) and explain the health benefits of feeding a RAW diet over a totally commercial one based on my experiences. Most puppy buyers stick with the 80% raw type diet supplemented with quality kibble. However recently a lot are now buying the BARF type patties and going down the RAW diet because of the convenience of purchasing the ready made patties with all the extras in it. They just add raw meaty bones. Life is a little easier to do RAW now for the newbies because of the commercial BARF patties that are available, with having one or two dogs only it isn't that expensive cost wise for them (a number of my recent puppy buyers have gone down that track). I still make all my own up because it is second nature now because I have been doing it for so long and also the bulk purchases keep the cost down. I also tell them that most Vets are not specialists when it comes to canine nutrition and most of them will try and push the products that they sell and to be aware of this. It is now easier to keep them feeding RAW because of the commercial range of RAW foods available. Good Luck!!!!
  16. Collecting out of Sweden will be an expensive process and I agree with the above, they are not that "advanced" as such. It was nearly 4 years ago that I got costs and it was an expensive option and I could only get straws not pellets ( I was hoping to get a collection under the Camelot method - it was not available at the time). You really need to find a Vet who knows what they are doing and the price I got was via the Vet University who collect etc. It was in my opinion a very expensive exercise. Sadly for me the person who owned the donor dog took my money and never gave me anything in return, so I hope you really know who you are dealing with and more. Also getting the container from Sweden to here is not a cheap option either. Good luck I look forward to hearing what you decide to do. Edited to add that the Aussie dollar is stronger now but Vet fees in Sweden are not cheap by no means.
  17. Congratulations to the winner, great names. :p
  18. I hope that is not true, very sad if it is. Good luck in finding your leads Lucy Jane.
  19. I got some numbers, and one catalogue voucher. I will be having to sort my problems out on the weekend.
  20. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. For many it is a great opportunity and works well. All I can say is have everything in writing in the contract so that it works for both parties. It can work if all is clear upon entering into the agreement.
  21. Glad to hear the Old Man is doing well, great smiling pic of him.
  22. I would have some type of heating for the pups, maybe a heating pad would be suitable, or an overhead heat lamp directed into one corner of the box.
