  3. I agree a catalogue is very important! I had to laugh at the above statement..........oh how true, especially a stranger having a look at the catalogue.....seriously some people really think they had a right to a have a look regardless. I have even had people try and take it out of my bag when it has just been hanging out a bit..... some people..... I too like to look at the other breeds, names etc.
  4. That is awful to hear. I did notice a lot of the "General Public" walking around during both shows this weekend. Sadly you do have to put your valuables away as to leave them around is now tempting fate. I am sorry to the person that had her purse stolen and lost her money, but luckily the rest of it was found with all the cards etc. I agree Karma will come around!
  5. Great stuff Green Tripe. If you can find a reliable supplier please let me know. ;)
  6. Thanks for letting us know. I hope all the other judges can still fly in.
  7. Huge Congratulations! What great wins!
  8. I would price this puppy as I would any other pet. The puppy is a very unique puppy and still a pet. So why would you price it any less than any other pet in the litter. The fact it is a little bit different would make no difference to me, it will still play like a puppy and grow into a adult the only difference it will have a short tail. The way I see it, the fact it is different it will be a draw card for some people, it will always be a unique puppy by default but a puppy all the same.
  9. Happy 14th Birthday Ollie. I hope you were spolied rotten and had a great day!
  10. I agree with angelsun and oakway, there are two prices for pups, potential show quality on Main Register that people wish to show and those that are to be pet only that go on the Limited Register. A lot of the time the "pets" are of a qaulity to show but people just want a pet only and do not want to show so they leave here on the Limited Register. All pups in the litter are given the same amount of time and care, nutrition and medication etc. Some may go as potential show pups and most will go as pets only. An obvious hernia that requires surgery would be given a slight discount and or I would have it fixed prior to letting the pup go, but for fault such as an over shot mouth or some white (DQ faults in my breed) the price is all the same for a pet. Of course disclosure of the mouth would be given. Discounting qaulity purebred pups with pedigree papers and breeder support is IMHO selling our quality pups short and under mining the real worth of them due to the health checks and history that can be supplied, plus to mention the rearing of them, breeder care and support etc. If somebody ties to haggle a price for a puppy they are quickly taken off the list or told to not ring back.
  11. Moose is just beautiful. Berner babies are just the cutest!
  12. I think we will all be very happy to be inside The grounds are so wet and muddy. Also that wind is very very cold and I will be happy to not be out in it. Looks like winter is well and truely here!
  13. I have used a product called Supa Immuno from Holistic Animal Medicines with great success after one of our dogs got very very sick and spent a week in at the Vets on a drip. He lost a lot of weight during that time. Shortly after his release and when he ended his antibiotics for the sickness we treated him with the Supo Immuno for 60 days and he hasn't looked back. :-)) I use this product and others of theirs and have been very very happy with them. I use a lot of their products now with success. Edited to add, there are a number of different natural things you can give your dog to help boost the Immune System, one that comes to mind is Purple Carrot Juice. Great for humans as well!!!!!!!!
  14. Far out.....that sure is a bloody huge price to pay!
  15. Definitely go for the 4 berth. They are easier to find, easier to sell when you need to and they offer more space, of which you will always want more of. A wardrobe is great for putting stuff in that you don't want to get wet and or leave smaller stuff in, also it does allow you the option of using it for another dog should you need to. If is amazing some of the setups you see. You see some great ideas of what others have done to modify their trailers to suit their needs. No doubt after having a good look about you will go away with some kind of idea what will really suit you. ;)
  16. There were a number of threads on Dog Trailers, I don't know how to post them here maybe somebody could help you with that. I would definitely recommend a wardrobe and a good size one that can take lots of gear also with a tall door on it. It is always better to have to much room than not enough. What size trailer are you looking at? edited to add - Have a look around at a show at the trailers and get an idea about some of the setups that you see. I have seen some great setups that are really simple ideas but give great benefit!
  17. Condolences to his owners and connections. RIP Carson
  18. Congratulations to all the winners and grinners.
  19. These are 2.4m x 2.4m Stolz I know the size, it is a toss up which way to go.......like I said I like the extra space in a 3 x 3 but I could do with a 2.4 x 2.4 if I had to. The whole thing is the length of the packed up unit which on an Oztrail Deluxe 3 x 3 is a pain to get across my back seat (it has to go on an angle). The 2.4 x 2.4 Compact OZ Trail is great size wise compressed but is less space when set up......oh it is all too bloody hard......
  20. Thank you Poodlefan, I know about the Oztrail Compact Deluxe and have a friend with one, thay are great in size and strength. I would then have to buy walls for it and the cost then gets dearer. I have walls that would go straight onto the compact canopy from a previous (cheaper) marquee that was destroyed (a leg support collapsed) in high winds, thankfully I always use strong guy ropes. I also like the extra space in a 3 x 3 as I may take an extra dog at times. Hmmm the things we do.......... I am leaning towards the Compact Deluxe Oztrail.....
  21. Again thank you for the answers and opinions. ;) I had a look at a few on Sunday and the owners said they needed two people to put them up, the roof section is difficult to click in......... I know that you can ask for help in putting them up and I do often help others that are putting up their marquees but I like the fact I can do my Oztrail Deluxe 3 x 3 by myself. (I often go to shows by myself). The down side is the Oztrail does not fit across my back seat, I have to angle it in and it is a bit of a pain when I take a trolley. It is food for thought............. Thank you all for the responses.
  22. Congratulatons to all the winners and grinners.
