My old shepherds used to howl to I will always love you by Whitney Houston and my little dog howls his head off when the Antiques Roadshow starts. But I can just sit there with my lot put my head back and howl and they will all join in no encouragement needed.

My groomer friend sent me chalk from the states to dye my dogs. Works a treat and is not long lasting. Good luck with it all.

How To Get Rid Of A Mouse Problem With Out Affecting The Dogs
PRADA68 replied to BustaGirl's topic in General Dog Discussion
That mouse plague is nightmarish stuff. Have a terrier or two and you will not have mice mine make short work of them. They would have a ball in that mouse plague they would know where to start but perhaps never stop. -

Where Does Your Dog/s Ride In The Car ?
PRADA68 replied to mrs tornsocks's topic in General Dog Discussion
I only have to open my windows and it becomes a hair storm in my car Mine have the same setup as GR, back seats down most of the time. I also have leads tied through the child carrier restraint thingies in the back that clip onto harnesses (I really should start using those harnessess again). These work if the seats are down or up. Amen to that my car is hair storm all the time with the windows down. I think that is what holds my car together the fur woven into to fabric. ;) -
One Of My Worst Nightmares Has Happened.
PRADA68 replied to baifra's topic in General Dog Discussion
Don't knock yourself over this too much dogs will be dogs and get into things we don't want them to. Nothing could have changed the situation after she had eaten the poison. So sorry for your loss RIP Phoebe. What a beautiful girl she was. -
How To Tidy Up The Endless Supply Of Doggy Stuff ...
PRADA68 replied to Tilly's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have one basket on top of their crate in the living room. There I place their toys and leads. Neat and tidy and I know where things are and so do the dogs. As for treats they are up on the microwave on top of the upright freezer. Dog food in a large plastic container in the cupboard. All within feet of one another and easy to get to. -
There are ovals behind the rifle range or shooting club that are fenced I think. That's on the Barwon Heads Road before Marshall. The Geelong Obedience is for members only.

A very very good friend of mine is a butcher and a grumpier person you could not get on the job. Early starts late finishes etc however when it comes to customers I have never ever seen him grump at anyone and would bend over backwards to get what you wanted. Regardless if it were for humans or dogs. He showed exhibited and bred for well over 26 years his wife would have killed him if he didn't supply good dog meat. Apart from that I would not go back either to be honest his loss I guess. Pity about the wife though grumpy or not. Rude customer service is not acceptable in my opinion.

Wonderful dogs I have terriers I love mine to bits the best guard dogs, the best mousers, great company you can always get a giggle from terriers. They require training and interaction with humans. Great doona dogs, great companions champion dogs. The down falls I have found them hard to toilet train, escapologists if they want to get out they will get out. These really are the only two problems I have had with terriers. Mine are my constant companions, go absolutely everywhere with me and make me smile and laugh every day. Wonderful dogs. I have owned terriers for near on 20 years and would never be without one. Oh and ball and toy crazy my boy will chase a ball into the fires of hell retrieve it and bring it back, then go for more. Put the time and energy into a terrier and you will not regret it as with all dogs they require plenty of socialisation, excercise, training etc. Oh and they must be allowed inside and part of the family a must for a terrier and under doonas is their favourite place. Do I love my terriers you bet I do.

My thoughts are with you this is never an easy decision all great advice in the posts before me. Do what you have to do to cope with it there is no right or wrong. There never is there never will be. Your doing the right thing for the dog the most unselfish thing. My hugs go out to you today. But remember the good times not the bad and cry as much as you want and never let any one say to you it is just a dog... they are much much more to those that have loved them.

Oh my what fun your two had. Shut the door and forget about it for now. Let hubby give you hand tonight cleaning that delightful mess up.

What a good boy buddy is!!

That was one of the most beautiful things I have read after the loss of a dog. Sad but humerous. What a lucky dog flog was to have such a wonderful family that loved him or is it the other way round a lucky family to have such a wonderful dog. RIP Flog.
