  1. Gorgeous photos I would love someone to take some like this of my lots. What precious keepsakes they are.
  2. A friend is currently travelling up in the Northern Territory and Western Australia with the caravan and their German Shepherd they have no problems with their girl. Like someone said before she has a long line when they are at the van as she lives in a caravan park normally it is no different to her. Dogs adjust very easily I find as long as their family are with them. Edited to add that if they are going on a day trip they just book her into either a doggy day care centre or a boarding kennel so carry a current vaccination certificate.
  3. I am allowed to sit in my chair with the two little dogs beside me allowing me as little room as possible. The sheppie is on the lounge a two and a half seater sprawled out that nobody else can get on. All very comfy in this cold weather. The two little ones act like hot water bottles.
  4. I have nobody to take my dogs and my express wishes are they will be PTS and come with me. My sister knows this and will follow it out.
  5. Sent mine a few days and recieved a reply stating they had got mine. Everyone send an email we stopped the last one we can stop this one.
  6. I have a large breed of dog and two little ones the little ones rule the roost. I have never had problems but I never let them out together unless I can clearly see what they are doing. Big dogs and little dogs can go great together. I love having the mix of the two. My house mate has a 5kg poodle as well. I find that the little dogs have more issues with one another particularly the poodle and my girl.
  7. Mine go out around 10 pm for their last toilet and they go to bed when I do and get up when I do there is no overnight loo stops unless they come out when I go to the loo overnight I will let them out but that is extremely rare.
  8. None here either they much prefer it inside. Two sleep in the bed with me and the big boy sleeps on his bed at the end of my bed and we all snore away together.
  9. He has been on sixty minutes and he is inspirational. Such a positive person off to check out the website. Have to admit I did have a few tears in my eyes.
  10. Ballarat is also pretty good and we do have some great off lead areas.
  11. That is wonderful and I love that last pic of her under her blanky where all foxies should be.
  12. We need an update and some photos... so pleased he has a loving home to go to. What a beautiful big boy he is shame his previous family did not see such qualities an older dog can bring to your life. *edited for a spelling mistake.
  13. Our house has always been a multiple dog home. We currently have three dogs that all get along well. I would not have any less than two dogs at any given time I love the fact that I have two companions around and they have each other when I can't be there. Yes it is twice as much fun or twice as much trouble but well worth it. Yes double vet fees etc but again worth it. I added my third dog eight months ago and have never looked back. But this will return to two when one of them passes on. This I hope will be a very long time away they are all 4 years and under. You just have to spread your love out a bit more but that is easy enough. If you have the time and the resources to have a multiple dog household I say go for it I love it.
  14. Awesome photos and the slide show was brilliant.
  15. I have medibank private for all mine cost me about $27 a fortnight for three dogs. We have the silver plan have not made a claim yet but I found them the best value at the time and have been with them for well over 12 months now.
  16. It has been around for a very long time I have been a member since March 2009. Great site.
  17. No mine only go when they require a vet's attention. As for vaccinations they are still done annually for dog obedience clubs.
  18. Poop freeze... butt covers what next only in America and an old saying but a good one "A fool and his money are soon parted."
  19. As Ron Weasley would say "Bloody Brilliant."
  20. This is an interesting thread however to throw even more trouble into it what if your on centrelink unemployment, disability, aged pension etc and live fortnight to fortnight without savings or credit cards and there are many that do, including me. I have pet insurance for my dogs and pay good money for that but if I have to pay up front prior to claiming the money back I am sorry I would have to seriously consider putting to sleep. I could come up with the excess that is no problem but if the bill run into the thousands I could not raise that even with the help of family and friends. So in this instance I guess we are stuffed. Heartbreaking really, for me and the dogs.
