  1. As I put betadine on Cookie, I found a couple of bigger patches. They seem to have dried up but lost a chunk of hair.. Is this normal and will it regrow?
  2. Thanks alot Persephone. I'll try that =) Cheers
  3. I've seen Cookie scratched himself from time to time, nothing excessive in his body tho. He scratched his chin until it bleed a little bit once..I just used some betadine. Cookie is 8 yo. His skin isn't very dry. I also forgot to mention there's another dog at home, my in-law's dog, a Schnauzer who also has skin problem sometime. Louis, the schnauzer, currently has a patch on his chin (bigger than cookie's). He often scratches his chin too. We think it's fungus..it could be from the humidity and usually his beard gets wet after he drinks. Unfortunately, the animal clinic closes until next week due to the Islamic Holiday. :(
  4. Guys, This morning I was combing cookie (black labrador) and I saw heaps of red-ish pimple-like rashes under his fur. Sorry, pics aren't very clear: At first i suspected it was mosquito bite, as there are a lots of mosquitos in where I live (i.e. Indonesia). But all of these "rashes" are under the fur..is it even possible for the mosquito to get under the fur? I also notice some of them are dry and becoming scalp. Edit: Forgot to add, cookie was fed with Science Diet Mature for couple of months and only recently changed to Pinnacle for a few days, and again changed to Canine Caviar yesterday. Cookie was migrated to Indonesia since June from Melbourne. Could weather be the factor? It's hot and humid here in Indonesia. Any idea what they are and how I can treat cookie? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks alot!
  5. cook, almost finished the maximal, so i'll try the fresh mix next time. thx for the info, guys :D
  6. haha.. yea probably too much protein. What do you feed your obit now?
  7. Hi all, I started feeding cookie, a black lab, artemis grain free food (Fresh Mix Maximal). It's great, but now cookie's poo was very soft and sometime almost like having Diarrhea. I thought it might need sometime to get use to new food, but after 2-3 weeks, it's still pretty soft and smelly. and he occasionally has bad gas too. I used to feed him Hill's Science Diet. Should I change to other brand, like eagle pack or maybe different Artemis? I want to stick to premium brand.. Thanks.
  8. Thanks for the input! Cheers.
  9. Hi guys, My boy is just back from a boarding, called barkingham palace. And i noticed he has eye mucus in one of the eye. So i cleaned it up, as i thought it's just normal. but it quickly appears again. I noticed that the color's not normal also..it's slightly yellowish or greenish. I talked to a friend and she mentioned that it might be an eye infection and asked me to check if his eye is slightly red/pinkish. It is pinkish and the mucus accumulates quickly. Called lort smith but they're not available today. I'll need to bring him in tomorrow morning. Is eye infection dangerous if it's yet to be treated in few days? Thanks.
