thanx guys....so interceptor doesnt do fleas bt does ticks...while sentinel does fleas and not ticks??? i bought sentinel this time around because its nearly double the price of interceptor, so i thought its got to be good.....y is sentinel dearer than interceptor? thanks again!!

hey guys.....i just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the differences of sentinel spectrum and interceptor spectrum. I know they are both produced by Norvatis, but i only stumbled across it recently when i was purchasing meds for my lil fella....im currently using a combination of sentinel spectrum and advantix...i want the best protection for my lil guy.....bt it does seem to be quite costly (100+ for 6mnths) and as a full time student i have to pick up a few jobs....but that being said i rather work a lil harder just to make sure he gets the best!! so the main question is what if use both interceptor and advantix?? will that give him max protection from those nasty lil bugs? Thanks in advance!

i jst dont think its right to use physical punishment....i want to be able to control him with the tone of my voice.....well i was told i needed to show him i was the pack leader...and i was also told to use a choke chain (which i think would be painful esp with my pup as for hes only 5kgs) thanks for the help so far.....

yeah he is desexed...and i have had a few private sessions...i tried taking him to one of those group sessions...he just wanted to play with all the other dogs....it was like i wasnt even there...lol...he is a very outgoing pup...loves ppl and dogs....i was told im not very tough on him...

okay so heres an update...hes improving a lil bit....bt this jumping a biting on to clothing is still a worry....the other day we went to the park....bt becoz there was no dogs jst kids....i decided to take him around the block....he jumped up again and had a go...like he was saying "NO im staying"....all i could do was stop and say NO!! and then i would pick him up and walk out of the park....was tht the right thing to do?? thanks!

i have got one of those easy fit and slip collars...even if they r put on tight and the collar gets caught on a tree...the thing will jst loosen up so he wldnt strangle himself...bt the downside is....tht it can easily come off he does get lost....bt thts y u shld use microchipping!!! if ur dogs microchipped with ur up2date details...u shld be okay!

my JRT pup had scabs on his nose...i think it must of been sunburn...it turned pink prior to forming into a scab...bt within a week it healed up...so yeah no need for the vet....just clean the area with just water...dont use ne shampoos or soap....and for ur dogs skin use a medicated shampoo for dry skin and only wash her when she gets dirty or smelly...i used to wash my lil fellas once every fortnight bt i realised he started gettin dry skin...so i only wash him once a month....

thanks for the reply mark....yeah he is a very assertive pup for sure...both my sis and my mum give in to his behaviour bt i dont...when he throws a tantrum at me i hold him till he gives in and when hes calm i put him down...hes trantum behaviour is improving slowly...bt the jumping and biting on clothing hasnt improved at all...mind my ignorance but may i ask u wat loose lead training is?

thanks for the advice bt we have tried tht and it still doesnt work....i have also realised tht when he doesnt get his way (ie i dont let him off the lead coz theres too many lil kids about) he does tht jumping and biting behaviour...and btw my jack pup had a tantrum problem...everytime u pick him up whilst he is playing with another dog or greeting some1 he will chuck a trantum and try to bite us...

yeah only happens when we put him on his harness and lead to walk him...we tried pushing him away using the lead...bt he jst keeps trying...will he grow out of it?

our 9 month old jack is getting alot better...but theres one thing ( and its the worst)...everytime we go for a walk...randomly during the middle of our walks...he jumps up and bites our pants!! its very annoyin and embarrasing...wat does it mean??? how can we stop this behaviour?
