  1. Chi's are my favourite breed of course :D My two both are from pounds, they have great personalities for such small dogs.
  2. My fault, I did give you the cutest little dog as your first foster dog, I am not game to put him on pet rescue yet, I will get dozens and dozens of enquiries :-)
  3. She's in brisbane, qld. Ill do some research on my nights at work Sunday night. I think mum is trying gumtree advertising as well I will help you with rehoming, it may be difficult, but try and keep her off gumtree and petlink free to good home dogs are currently being targeted by some horrible people.
  4. That will definitely help :D The less tearing around he does the better. Tell Lucy he needs to rest
  5. It happens, we rehomed a beautiful German Shepherd to a home they already had another GS and it seemed an absolute perfect forever home, but the neighbours chook flew over into the yard and she killed it, they immediately got onto us and wanted her gone.
  6. Thanks for the Marty update, we will get him into the vet if you think the cough is getting worse, unfortunately Ipswich Pound always seems to have kennel cough, but thankfully it is not a nasty strain, Millie was fine after a couple of days. Having a good appetite is a great sign, poor wee beggar will think he has died and gone to heaven at your place after being at the pound.
  7. Defintely has a dose of kennel cough, having a good appetite is great!! He is definitely under weight, they don't tend to eat well in the pound, to stressful for them.
  8. HAHA its called Tiny Dog Rescue for a reason
  9. This is tiny Marty who is being sprung from the pound today and has foster care.
  10. I am still looking for one more foster carer to come on board, I have another urgent wee boy in the pound who needs to go into foster care, he is a 2 yr old Shitzu x Maltese called Toto he is a sweet boy from the reports from pound staff.
  11. Sorry bit late getting pictures, been very busy, Millie has been staying with me, she is a great wee girl, loves other dogs cats and even horses, someone is going to be very lucky adopting her. Here is her petrescue add with a video as well. http://www.petrescue.com.au/view/144300
  12. Will post some pics once I have her out tomorrow :-)
  13. Millie has found a carer and will be the very first rescue dog with Tiny Dog Rescue.
  14. I have started up a very small rescue again, we need foster carers, with secure fencing able to foster, all the dogs before going to foster, will be vet checked, desexed, vaccinated etc and also temp tested with dogs and cats. I am planning on concentrating on the smaller breeds. We have one little girl (pictured) that needs a foster carer now, she is a Papillon x Foxie who has been surrendered to the pound, as she is a surrender she has limited time, if you are able to help Millie or are interested in fostering please contact me, my email address is [email protected]
  15. Little Millie has been surrendered to the pound and has limited time to find a foster carer, the pound is full, if anyone is able to foster please contact me thanks. My email address is [email protected]
  16. Update on Harvey, I decreased the dose of one of his meds and all symptoms have gone, will still go the vet and get blood tests done to check levels, but so far so good.
  17. $1800 wow hopefully he won't need one fingers crossed.
  18. Thanks, oh how I wish I got pet insurance with this one.
  19. I have a little dog that may need one shortly and was wondering the average cost. I am in Qld.
  20. Erny he had tests not that long ago checking his levels so not sure that is the problem, he did have a major seizure a couple of months ago that had him in vet hospital overnight as he did not come out of it, so wondering if he he may of got a bit of neuro damage then and I just did not notice the symptoms then and they gradually got worse. I got him from the pound originally and I am sure he had been knocked around as he was very head shy and has some facial deformoties, his jaw is out of line, not sure if that contributed to him getting epilepsy or not.
  21. I took him to the vet and unfortunately my regular vet was away and a locum saw him who does not know his history, taking him back next week for blood tests etc, he still has the same symptoms not getting worse or better, the vet I saw thought it could possibly be a slow growing tumour or a reaction to the meds, but as he has been on the same meds for a long time I think its unlikely.
  22. Hi my little boy who is now 6 has had epilepsy for 5 years, controlled to a point with pheno and bromide, he had a bad seizure 2 months ago which required a overnight stay at the vet but he recovered well with no problems, for the past few days he has developed episodes of not being coordinated, he came right but it has returned again, he is off to the vet tomorrow, was just wondering if any other people have had these issues with epi dogs at all. Mainly his back legs seem to be affected.
