  1. Unfortunately as soon as the media were contacted and the ex volunteer got on tv the council took this drastic action, I assure you that no negect is happening, they have done an amazing job since taking over. I have been working with them since they took over and have never seen any neglect or non medical treatment of animals. The staff who will all be out of a job come monday are devastated. They are frantically working to get all the animals placed before the Monday deadline.

  3. They urgently need room to fit in 140 animals coming from the Ipswich Shelter over the next few days, if you know of anyone wanting to adopt up here, please let them know.
  4. I have pet sat Miss Poppy in the past and she is a lovely dog, unfortunately I can't anymore due to having a nervous wee foster dog and already have another small dog booked in for holidays.
  5. When it is dinner time Harvey finds a toy and carrys it around until I feed him, he always has a line up of toys next to his food bowl.
  6. Thats what I thought too  She is gorgeous and looks so happy - such a cute little chi (?) waddling along behind as well! You are doing a good job with her. That is Junebug, she is now totally blind, but manages just fine :-)
  7. Honey is over her kennel cough and is being desexed tomorrow, I took a short video today to show how far she has come in a short time, she is still very wary of anyone but me, but she is improving, Carly my housemate got a lick today, she loves tearing around our large back yard as well.
  8. Unfortunately Chihuahua's are prone to tartar build up etc, one of mine has perfect teeth and the other needs a dental every year.
  9. I have two chis here and they rarely bark :-)
  10. Dane rescue up here definitely do not need papers.
  11. It really is a case by case with me, my current foster is fine with my two but I always supervise for at least a few days before leaving them alone together, but others I have crated if I am out.
  12. Its really sad, then these inexperienced carers or adopters take these dogs to dog parks :-(
  13. Honey had a check up at the vets today, she was very well behaved and will be getting desexed next week, her patellas thankfully are 100%.
  14. No news is normally good news, I do usually send an email or a text after a couple of days to check all is going well though, I very quickly hear if an issue has appeared, Our dogs always go out on a 2 week trial, so If I have not heard anything in those 2 weeks I ring then.
  15. Pounds need to be more accountable as well and stop releasing these dogs that a lot of them are not suitable for adoption , arghhh Pound Rounds make me ill!!!!
  16. Ok once she is over the kennel cough, thankfully a mild dose I will give you a call if thats ok :-) Then she can be desexed and the hunt for the perfect home begins :-) I wasn't going to put her on pet rescue as I know I will get the usual influx of unsuitable homes, was just going to list her exclusively on your site :-)
  17. Big ears haha, she is still asleep in her crate with her snazzy jumper on and a blanket over the top, such a sweetie.
  18. Thats sad, I will keep an eye out up here. She of course was going to be euthanised for that exact reason. Do you want her sent down to you? She won't be able to until the kennel cough clears up, or are you happy for us to rehome her under your guidance :-)
  19. Hi approx 2 looking at her teeth, she was vaccinated etc at the pound, but I am taking her for a drive to the vets Monday as I have a little one getting a dental and will get my rescue vet to give her an estimate, I want to get her used to. the vets surgery etc without anything bad happening before she goes back for desexing, she was literally screaming and growling the first night I had her here and I went near her, do not want her reverting back :-), will do Dogmad, I didn't contact you re her as she was in such a state she couldn't of travelled. Have never seen a purebred in the pounds up here thankfully.
  20. Honey pics!! She is going great, has a touch of kennel cough so had to delay desexing for a week or two. For those who want to be updated regularly on her we have a facebook group :-) https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/groups/tinydogrescue/
  21. Big improvements from Honey today, she is now not so glued to the couch, she tore out with the other dogs to my kitchen when it was time to feed them, tail wagging, a neigbour came over while I was outside with her and she ran over all be it cringing a bit for a pat, so all in all I am very happy with her progress she is improving at a great rate
  22. That tail does appear at times haha, in a couple of weeks she will be strutting around, she was very interested in the horses went right up to the fence and watched them then pranced back tail in the air :-) Of course didn't film that arghhh
