It is uploading very slowly is that normal with you tube its my first attempt...

At least he isnt aware he is having it which it a plus, he was fine after it just tired and is sleeping.....

Wee Harvey boy just had another seizure, it lasted for 4 minutes and I was able to video it, am uploading it to you tube now, I will take him to the vet tomorrow for blood tests etc if he doesnt have another today or off to the emergency vet :-(,I will post it on here when it has finished uploading.....

My other chihuahua Ally often chokes when eating but she has a narrow palete very common in chihuahuas,they are such tricky little things sometime...

Since this is his second episode although very minor this time maybe Epilepsy meds are in order...

My dog had a seizure around a month ago very scary,resulted in a trip to emergency then nothing since, then this afternoon after another dog was dropped off that I am babysitting over christmas, I thought he was going into another one he yelped a couple of times and lay down fully concious etc but didnt want to move for a little while I am thinking they are brought on with him by excitement I grabbed the video camera to film it but he didnt go into a seizure weird but puzzling....

I would recommend Nutro to anyone and do so when adopting our rescue dogs out, I have had my 2 chis on it for around 3 or 4 months now, their coats are shiny, they hold their weight nicely and a 7 kg bag is lasting forever, they get 1/2 cup each and they thrive on it....

My big achievment was getting myself into gear and taking Harvey to dog obedience and having him go into Class 2 after 2 classes, the instructor thinks he will be good enough to compete next year, he does have a habit of putting other dogs off in class though I am sure they all think he is a rat :D

I train midget once a day and hope to compete with him in obedience he is going well

Hi Staffy-lover yes wee Harvey dog still no more episodes....

So far he hasnt had another episode ,so fingers crossed it was a one off thing

Baxlse hopefully Harvey has the same thing and nothing more will happen, it would of been better if he had it at home not when I am driving ;)

He is fine today his usual self chasing flys ;)

Thanks guys he was fine overnight, no change in character or behaviour at all, the seizure itself, was hard to view as I was driving at breakneck speed to emergency, he was in the back of the car jumped over to the front seat next to me and then collapsed, their was no leg movements but he stiffened and arched his head back, his eyes were open no noises or anything bowel movement,he was completely out of it for around 3 minutes, me of course thought he was dying, it took around 5 minutes to get to the vets, by the time I drove into the vets drive he was fully awake, just shaking uncontrollably,the vet couldnt find a thing wrong with him, just said to keep an eye on him and if he fits again to bring him straight in, when I brought him home after the vet he was tearing around playing with his toys ate dinner normally etc....The vet said it could be anything of around 40 different things, but not to do anything unless you observe another fit as it may never occur again...I will keep my camera at the ready it has video on it incase their is another episode,maybe he just wanted to get out of dog obedience Before the seizure he was completely normal as well..

Not sure re the heat he was fine though this evening when I got home, put him in the car and 5 minutes down the road he flopped on his side dead to the world

One of my chihuahuas just had a fit I was taking him to dog obedience had him in the car for around 5 minutes, he collapsed and I for all money thought he was dying their was no foaming at the mouth or anything he was totally unaware of what was going on as I drove like a madwoman to the 24 hr emergencey vet,by the time I got their took around 8 minutes he was shaking but fully awake,they could find nothing wrong and now he is back to his old self playing with his toys He has never shown any signs of anything before and I am very worried They said if he has another one tonight to take him straight back in for one sleepless night on the way.. He is only 15 months old...

How old is she, crating is a terrific tool I use it with my foster dogs also if they are not housetrained whatever age they are :D Sorry to suggest it but can not think of another solution if you dont see her do it...

Sounds like a very normal puppy to me.....

Hi they have got it, but havent installed it as yet ,she is staying in their double garage when they are at work which has curbed the escaping until it is up and functioning and they have trained her to it
