Try a good quality food like nutro puppy they make one especially for small dogs in tiny bite sizes any pups I have fostered love it...

Wrong vet advice by the sounds of it, he will have to go in for another blood test soon to see how his levels are, Katlek he is ok it doesnt seem to effect him in anyway at all apart from having a fit about every 3 months it seems...In fact he has his first obedience trial next weekend ps Puggles he has only ever had a single seizure so hopefull it will be another 3 months now before another appears...

How are all the epi dogs going, on vet advice I had reduced his meds over the past week and arghh had another seizure last night after not having one for over 3 months, it lasted about a minute, he recovered very quickly as usual...So back up with the meds again

I changed my dog to a mainly barf diet its made in a mix by canine country up in Brissy, since changing his diet he has started to lose weight at last yay, Nutro do make a low fat kibble and I do give them a bit of that each day as well....

hiya KitKat I was their I heard what a racket, the instructors were concerned and I know they were getting the crappers over the noise, re the remote trainer would they let you use it at training ??? Maybe the OH is the best idea to keep him happy, it is good distraction training though having the hound from hell screaming in the background

Its easy peasy to find go up Beenleigh Rd before you go over the train tracks turn right, past scout hall,through car park find a dirt rd follow it to the end you are their... This is coming from the Logan end of Beenleigh Rd....

He came in giving me the googly eyes I am starving look but I was strong and will stick to a balanced barf meal at night and see how we go, hopefully as I am reducing his meds on vet advice he may be able to be off all medication by the end of the year, no seizures for 3 months now Its hard knowing how much to feed such a small dog..

thanks for all the tips the drugs do make them put weight on so its a tough battle of the bulge, I got some barf today so will try a bit of a change to see if it has any effect on him...

their is a doggy hydrotherapy pool opened up not far away so he might go their a couple of times a week as well

I was going to go the barf way as Canine Country have a complete mix made up and its pretty cheap will list ingredients see what you think Peibsy hehe beef,fine ground beef bone,heart,fruit (apple,pear. Veggies (pumpkin,beans,eggplant,carrot,zucchini etc.) Yoghurt,eggs,garlic flaxseed.kelp, they sell it in 1kg frozen tubes for $2.50

Bikkies no no bikkies, he was getting nutro, but I have him on eukanuba light which is not working he has gained weight, also a good low fat treat suggestions for training, I will have to stop the instructors from giving in to his big eyes all the time as well

I am struggling to get some weight off my little dog, has anyone got any good dieting tips,he is on pheno due to having suspected epilepsy,I have cut his food back, giving him more exercise he was 4.1kgs 2 weeks ago and when I weighed him on the same scales yesterday he was 4.2kgs, he needs I hope to lose at least a kilo....
