She will soon gain weight Looking at her photos she isnt to bad , lamb flaps are great for fattening dogs up, other than good quality food will soon see her right :-)

Thanks thats good to know, he isnt gluten intolerant but I have been reading up and apparently it could help with dogs that have seizures so worth a try.

Has anyone heard that Gluten can contribute to Seizures?

Is their any of the premium brands dry foods that are gluten free, I just noticed as I am going on a gluten free diet myself that it can help with seizures, I am on it for other reasons but thought it might be worth a try with my Epileptic Dog..

All is well at present no more seizures since, he is having his pheno levels checked again in another fortnight and I also have some Valium on hand in case he seizures again, he was on a monthly cycle of seizures so wont really know if the increased meds are working until early next month..

Thanks for all the tips am back home now and he seems his normal self,we had blood tests done and he is able to up his dose of pheno I will discuss adding another medication with my new vet now that I have moved and hopefully he can get under control...Harvey is a approx 2 1/2 - 3 he was a pound dog so cant be absolutely certain they started Nov 2006 the first post on this thread..

He has been transferred to another vet,Carley is picking me up from the airport thanks for the offer,he is staying their for the day under observation and will go home this evening,no more seizures since Carley took him in last night so thats good..

Harvey who has been having a very mild seizure regularly every 30 days or so, he recovers quickly and is fine in a couple of minutes had two today the first minor and the second 10 minutes later was a severe one he was still fitting when her got to the vets , he is currently at the emergency vet being monitered overnight, I am interstate and very worried

I feed Nutro Light it works well for my wee porker the only thing that he can lose a bit of weight on, also he gets four legs every third night for a bit of variety..
