  1. Yep we will be there aswell. Give Bronson a run on it.
  2. Well u didn't like my hog tying idea, so i am no help.
  3. I have my stafford boy in most of the time, and i don't get doggy odour. I do get doggy fart smells that woft around the house, but not a constant dog smell. I just keep him bathed regularly, making sure he is washed when he gets wet outside. To avoid the wet dog smell.
  4. I have had good success with both Valerium and Rescue Remedy.
  5. If you need to find the nearest stockist, send them an email with your suburb and state. I got a response straight away.
  6. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts are with you and OH at this time. And also OH's family.
  7. I have no idea how you teach them. Bronson howls if he is crated, and licks my face when he is in our bed. The cat taps on the venision blinds when he wants to go out.
  8. Yep Southern is awesome. I live in Narre Warren and go to Southern in Bagholme. I love it.
  9. Oops sorry!! lol. Thanks for the info possum - we have obedience on sundays, which is a pity.
  10. Possumcorner and squirtydog they are great pictures. The dogs look like they are having such a good time.
  11. Ahhh Sparty, we were there yesterday. What a day, the weather was so silly. We missed out on having a go because it ended up pouring with rain. I am going to check out the Berwick club, as it is the closest to me that I could find.
  12. Yeah I meant where do you train. Only interested cause you mention Dandy ranges, and I am close by to there. Will check out the website, thanks.
  13. Great footage Dunnybrush. Whereabouts do you do it at??
  14. I think it has something to do with marking his spot since poor Dodgy went to doggy heaven. He is probably feeling a little out of sorts and is trying to make his home feel more like his. I hate to say this, but I agree with smelly shoes, it would be a territorial thing.

    Puppy Dilemma

You have already been given some great advise from the others. As to the jumping up, definately ignoring, not making eye contact and turning away. Also lifting your knee up will help aswell. Hands in pocket for the nipping is a great deterent. I would recommend Obedience training, and re-training of the 'skin' kids aswell.
  16. I don't feed can food either, as it is mostly water and isn't nutritional at all. It also gives my boy the runs and makes him fart so bad.
  17. I would talk to the instructor aswell. Bronson sometimes tries to be the distraction, but I always move away as it isn't fair on other peoples dogs. Bronson also has to learn that he can't play all the time. You are doing them a favour by pointing it out to them.
  18. Well done to Eddie and to you aswell. We are still in the bottom class. Bronson is very interested in playing and has a hard time concentrating. He also likes to lay down when he is supposed to be sitting - lazy bum he is. Hope to see you soon. Are you going tonight??
  19. I was quite impressed by what I saw today. I had to leave relatively early as I had my 2 kidlets with me, one of which isn't feeling too well. I am all joined up and start tomorrow, so we will see how we go. Oh, nice to meet you Shoemonster!!! See you tomorrow.
  20. If there is anyone that is in Melbourne and would like free tickets to this day including free drinks and food vouchers, just PM me cause I work for RACV and I got 5 tickets to the RACV marquee that I can't use cause I have to work. More than happy to just give them away.
  21. My darling Stafford was PTS in May 2005 after being diagnosed with cancer 18mths earlier. It broke my heart to see him slowly get worse and worse. In the end, I just had to look in his eyes and know that the time was right. He wasn't his normal self, and just looked at me as if to say "its time to let go mum" I cried and cried and it took all my strength to actually get to the vet to do it. The poor vet nurse took one look at me when I walked in and instantly handed me the entire box of tissues. I am so sorry that you are going through this, and I an sending you oodles of strength and courage. You will know in you heart when the time is right. OK - off to get the tissues again!!
  22. Hi all, Long time no post. I have been working full time, so that why I haven't been around much. I saw a ad in my local paper to say that Southern Obedience are having an open day next saturday. I was wondering if thats correct. I looked on the website and there is nothing there for it. Also, does any one go there, or know anything about it?? The breeder of my boy recommended that obedience club. Thanks in advance, Suz
  23. I will dig out the pictures and get them scanned next time I am at the inlaws house. I will PM them to whoever wants to see them.
