  1. I hope he feels better soon CTD. Has he been out with any of the flyball dogs? I have heard a couple have it at the moment. What are the vets doing to help him??
  2. Get some licorice root, and boil it like tea, and it acts as a natural cortisone and will dry the hot spot up.
  3. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Vic is having a show at KCC park on saturday if you wanted to come down and have a look.
  4. Yep would have been me. Only Pug there LOL. Unfortunately we got Black carded for running into the other lane. I have no idea why she did as she never has at training. Going to training tonight so will see how she is, then off to the Milton Demo this weekend. On a bettter note when she did run we got 2 points :D . Only 3 more for our first title LOL I didn't think you got black carded for that - i thought it was just a yellow card.
  5. I have been to both Devon Meadows and Dogs in Motion. I prefer Devon Meadows for my dogs. Firstly its cheaper, don't have to book appointments, can stay as long as you want (which i need with mine, as 1 drinks the water and needs to get out after 2 laps). The pool is also curvy, so works both sides of the body. Dogs In Motion is great, don't get me wrong. I just find Devon Meadows more suitable for my needs.
  6. Jorja likes the mini wubbas - but only when they are in Ed's mouth!! Haha
  7. I use cooked chicken breast, liver, raw bean (my boys favourite), small amounts of silverside.
  8. Probably better to go to the vets, they will have a look at the gunk under a microscope and see if it is in fact ear mites. Or you could do this yourself, if you have the equipment. You will see them crawling around. Oticlean you should be able to get from a pet supply place. Advocate is probably the most effective way to rid your dog of the mites though.
  9. Try giving your dog a treatment of Advocate aswell, as it kills earmites. Just be aware its a heartworm treatment aswell, so don't use it aswell as your normal treatment. With the Illium drops, I would advise getting some Oticlean and thoroughly cleaning the ear canal. Do this by squirting the Oticlean in, then massage ear canal and wipe clean with cotton wool. Them apply the drops (4-8) twice a day. Goodluck

    Chiros?

There is Tony in Hampton Park. He is a manipulator. I take my girl there regularly, and Shooey takes her brats there also. Quite a few people use him.

    Rip Storm

RIP Storm, I am sorry to hear this.
  12. I also only buy human grade meat for this reason.
  13. I think its actually the 6th February isn't it!! LOL
  14. Too long HR - too long ;) Oonga agrees, so does Shoemonster!! We have sad rotts and nottarotts
  15. My 3 yr old can completely control my dogs. He has the knack. Its funny, cause he knows the tone of voice he needs to use. He has taught my male stafford to have a treat on his head, and then when he says the command word, my stafford is allowed to eat the treat. He has more control on the dogs than my OH! Obviously I supervise kids and dogs at all times. Have to work out a way to get him to understand the command refusal thing.
  16. Thanks Kavik and Tony. I will put that in action and see how I go. Much appreciated.
  17. Act under my guidance?? As the ones that dog needs to refuse or obey??
  18. Yeah thats what I mean. So similar to the food refusal, where you get them to focus back on your, instead of the food/command.
  19. One is motivated by food, other is by love pretty much. She isn't very food orientated. She is happy with a play and a cuddle.
  20. Yep thats what I meant Tonymc. Sorry, damn cold and flu tablets make me a bit dippy!! Dippier than usual.
