High Liver Enzymes In Dogs
Sheridan replied to julesluvscavs's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
What's her cortisol levels? Also, I can't remember if you said that she had both Cushing's tests? -
Would love to see that if it's safe for you to film it!

High Liver Enzymes In Dogs

My Grumpy didn't lose any hair when he had Cushings. -
I think that's the last thing Caz would want!! And to have to pay ANY money towards that "service" again, what a joke! I'd be devastated and be so ridden with guilt if I lost a dog on my watch like that, and would more than likely close up shop voluntarily and seek a new career. Just can't believe it Unfortunately emotion plays a very little role in the world of law and to some degree business. Hence why my posts may seem very blunt and not very empathetic. Have to think realistically without emotion. You're not being realistic with that suggestion; you're being insensitive. Why on earth would Caz take a dog back to that salon? It's an idiotic suggestion.

Deep breaths, Mantis. This guy has nothing, he's just trying it on.

Fire in Yarrabin. People in the Kybean Valley are being asked to evacuate to Nimmitabel immediately. https://www.facebook.com/#!/nswrfs/posts/10151372778060552

EPIC is now open for horse owners to take their horses. http://esa.act.gov.au/ ESA is pretty good at updating, as is the RFS. They can be followed on Twitter and Facebook.

Crating my dogs in a strange place would make for a much more stressful experience than I am willing to put them through. I still maintain that such a rigid and uneccessary protocol would be a deal breaker for many people. Both of my dogs are polite, well-mannered and under control in public and do not need to be stuffed away in a box. Unfortunately, not all dogs are.

Qantas Says No To American Staffordshire Terriers
Sheridan replied to Red Fox's topic in In The News
I'm sure many pug and frenchie people would say the same but I don't see amstaff people up in arms about them. -
How strange and ridiculous. Imagine trying to get a Mastiff in a create who wasn't crate trained? I find most people love being in public with their dogs and like the interaction surrounding their pet. Those who don't usually have no hesitation is expressing this. Forcing animals out of sight seems unprofessional. If I was asked to do this on entry I would not return. I wish people would do this. I took Grumpy to the vet in a crate, on a trolley, and even then had to sometimes stand in front of the crate to stop people bringing their dogs too close. If it prevents issues then I don't care how unnatural anyone thinks it is for the short period the dogs are at the vet. Good grief.

Dog Bitten While In Boarding Kennel

Reading stuff like this fills me with horror. Trouble is, you just never know what they will do with your dog. -
Qantas Says No To American Staffordshire Terriers

Qantas made it a BSL issue. Umm no hang on. BSL is "Breed speific legislation" What Qantas has done and they are entitled to is put policies and proceedures in place, for what they think is in the best interests of their business and staff safety. It seems to have become a BSL issue since amstaffs were banned from Qantas. -
Can't help with choline but westiemum and Bianca reported good results with Cholodin.

Because unless her regular vet is listed by AQIS, they can't do the rabies shot.

Yes but PR only took advantage of the list. The fault lies with Hawkesbury for not BCCing. There seems to be confusion regarding PR. Are they just promoting animals or are they rescuing? Because they are referred to here as a bad rescue because they shift dogs around, they have kennels, but at the same time they are referred to as promotors and mediators.

How did they get the Hawkesbury list? Does Hawkesbury not BCC?

Sorry to hear about Maisie, Kirty. I did notice that in Grumpy's last few months the Vivitonin didn't have as much of an effect. I had Grumpy on B/D for a while, which seemed to have an effect, but had to take him off it because of the pancreatic effect on his Cushing's disease. He never took to the Herb Robert. I was going to try him on Cholodin but had to pts just before Christmas because he was no longer coping by himself. Was Maisie a bit destructive and naughty when she was younger? I found the effects of the dementia seemed to amplify young behaviours. Grumpy was a very dominant and independent dog when he was young so he turned into a grumpy old man in the 'I can do it myself!' vein.

It probably arrived just after Christmas but the PO where my box is was closed extra days. I loved Mac's little note and will cherish it. :)
