You do understand, don't you, that there are many rescue groups that take dogs from pounds and that PR is a tiny cog in a very large wheel. They may have a large number of followers on Facebook but that does not mean they are a large rescue. Indeed, they seem to take only a tiny amount of dogs and if claims in this thread are to be believed, they take credit for dogs they do not rescue but take donations for. I do not know if these claims are true but what I am sure of is that this thread would not have happened if PR had a system saying, 'This dog went to this rescue. We took donations of $ for the dog and these were sent to the rescue' and then the rescue in question responded with 'Funds received.' ETA: see Ams post below mine regarding this.

I understand this and accept it as an understandable situation. Most groups would delete hate posts or those aimed at detracting the good name of their business. Most businesses would not engage with accusers they have no obligation to answer to publicly. Most businesses would have by now demanded that any accusations or defamatory remarks made else where were removed. Julie Except PR is not a business, unlike your MDBA.

Clearly my previous posts proved otherwise. Or do you need more screenshots? If you look at Tbroils post count and then try to find them you will see that at least two or three posts have been removed as her count does not tally to the number of posts listed. That happens all the time but i don't think it's to do with posts being deleted because then the tally would be the same.

I don't think it's entirely down to HSUS but some people are sucked into the lack of logic of 'Adopt don't shop'. They see the amount of dogs in pounds/shelters and think the solution is not to breed anymore dogs until there are no dogs left in these places. They don't think or don't want to admit that no dogs being bred means no dogs at all. And then there are those (often the same people) who think any dog will do for any person. They don't think through lifestyle so the person who is best suited to a cav, they think that a bull breed cross will do.

Poor darling boy. Caz, I know there are probably things you can't talk about in public if there is legal action going on, but do keep us as informed as you can. There's a lot of sympathy and love here for dear Buddy and you.

Many dogs cope very well by themselves.

Following the story of the dog from yesterday, PR advertised the dog as not to be rehomed with other dogs. Someone asked why because she wanted to foster but had two dogs. PR responded that the dog had been listed as such because it had been in the pound for so long and could be reactive. I believe the dog was taken from the pound by PR with 'thanks' to the woman who put up her hand.

I don't think so. I think it means it's passed the mandatory holding period and is now available for sale. I don't know when dogs can be pts in NSW after that period but I suppose it could be anytime?

I was confused by that. One person said directly she donated $100 to have the dog kennelled but it's still in the pound. I don't understand it either Does Blacktown kennel dogs, I thought there was a PTS list because the pound is full at times. Wouldn't she have been on a PTS list long ago? If she is being kennelled by PR there how can she be in danger of being PTS if they own her? Don't know about that but where did the release to rescue only come from? If it's the dog I'm looking at, it says for immediate sale?

Again I'll say; wouldn't a call to AHF answer the question about why the dog was still there? What's AHF? I thought the dog was in Blacktown?

Has anyone called Blacktown and asked why this dog is only to rescue?
