Why are you giving slippery elm?

Take the note off the door in case she comes back for them because it would be bad for the cats if she came back for them.

Poor little man. Very glad he's come to you.

Then feel free to get a great dane in the back of your neck if you have to break suddenly. :) Well luckily for me my dog is trained to lie down in a vehicle without the need to restrain - especially given the fact that any harness that allows him to be able to move comfortably would have the same effect. Whether or not your dog is lying down will make no difference in a car accident. ETA: should have been brake in the previous post but somehow break is more appropriate. -
That's awful, Nic. How did you manage to get rid of them?

Dogs Not Restrained In Moving Vehicles

I was once being followed by a car, kids in it, SWF hanging out the window. Not restrained, young girl holding the dog. Luckily we stopped at a red light. I got out of the car and told them off. Described what would happen if she dropped the dog. Told them to put the dog in the back seat and buy a dog harness. Got a squeak of 'Okay, thanks!' and dog was pulled back in, handed to someone in the back, and all the windows pulled up. -
Is the catalogue online anywhere?

Current Vet Changed To A Greencross Vet
Sheridan replied to Cougar's topic in General Dog Discussion
That isn't limited to Greencross vets. I think we've probably all had that experience at some stage. -
The only year I didn't have Grumpy vaccinated was his last year. The vet said it wasn't worth it because we didn't go out as much.
-
I think the people who get hysterical over people saying they would save a dog over a child most likely have children. I am of the opinion that I would flap about in a panic.

Vets having marketing seems a bit odd to me. -
I am not suggesting there be an instant result. I am suggesting that Jelly have a realistic and informed idea of how long this should take, and not let it drag out indeterminately because there will always be people with suggestions for improvement, that won't ever stop. But in the mean time, the dog is still anxious when Jelly is not there and prone to getting in very dangerous situations. It is only Jelly that will suffer if the dog seriously harms itself. No, you're suggesting that Jelly put Roo to sleep. If it doesn't work by this date, put your dog to sleep.

In response to Greytmate's non-too-subtle post and Jelly, who is the only important person in this thread, crate training can take a while. Some dogs are instant, 'Yay' a den!' and some dogs it takes a while. It's only been a short period of time since you started. You knew it would take some time and Roo has made great improvements in that short period but it will be up and down. Yes, there's been a setback, but don't let others get to you because it wasn't an instantaneous result.
-
Possibly excessive ... The sturdiest crate I've had is the one I got for my first wheaten, which I got from Roll Over Rover in Grovedale (Geelong). Had it for years. It has a metal tray but even without that it it really heavy. I couldn't see a brand on it, though.

Date? What is this date thing?

Compared to her frenzy when out the back, it's not too bad at all. If I've understood Nekh correctly, this is an indication that her distress is part habit rather than full blown terror. Here's a couple of pics of her poor little teeth after just a few weeks of chewing on the back door. <pics snipped> So, she was definitely getting more worked up into the frenzy out there. That's why I'm so happy she's safer now. Silly girl, Roo.
