  1. I doubt it. There's probably not a large corporation on the planet that doesn't get loads of hate mail and negative feedback on social media. Unless it makes a substantial dent in their earnings, it will wash over them.
  2. Dog stealing for baiting purposes. Dognapping for ransom isn't the same thing.
  3. Westfield is an ASX 200 company with over $21.7 billion in assets. If you were on their board, would you care what people think? Happy to be proved wrong but were I on that board, the only people I'd care about would be the major shareholders.
  4. It is becoming harder to walk our dogs in safety. I hope yours recover quickly and your council rangers act with speed on these dogs and their owner.I find it ironic in a horrible way that authorities insist on greyhounds being muzzled.
  5. Why do people think a petition help these matters?
  6. That last sentence is at least positive. People reporting dog thefts previously have indicated a lack of interest from the police.
  7. I recall a thread in the rescue forum where someone said they would ask someone walking an undesexed dog why the dog was not desexed. My reply was if someone random walked up to me in the street and asked me that question, I'd tell the random to fxxk off. What the hell business is it of anyone if your dog is not desexed?
  8. The entire 'adopt don't shop' argument that rescue and AR whacktivists perpetuate is the same one as getting a dog from a breeder kills a shelter dog. And apparently, it's okay for rescue to get up in often hysterical arms about people getting dogs from breeders but as soon as those people fight back, it's offensive and insulting to rescuers. Thankfully, IRL, I don't come across people who want dogs extinct (the logical end of adopt don't shop). I heard someone talking about cute oodles at work recently but when I listened some more it was more of an 'hybrid vigour is a crock of shit' argument.
  9. This is the story. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/law-order/stolen-dogs-killed-when-thrown-from-speeding-car-in-werribee/story-fni0fee2-1226872442398
  10. I would hope that those who have proof of these things would take it to the RSPCA/AWL or the relevant government agency but it seems not.
  11. I was just about to post that, so thanks, Rebanne. I see my attachment disappeared. Thanks, IOS!
  12. So, like with PR, these things are well known, presumably not rumour (?), and yet they just continue on their merry way?
  13. Posting here rather than Lost and Found for wider distribution. This is just out on FB. Lost cavalier king charles spaniel called Paddy. Poster on FB advised that she saw an old gentleman crying as he was pasting up flyers. She took a photo of the flyer and posted on FB lost and found for him asking people to share. Please share Paddy's lost notice on FB and your other social networks.
  14. Did the vet do any tests for epilepsy or dementia? Prozac seems an odd drug to prescribe.
  15. Er, what's that bloke doing? And what is the Canine Behaviour Expert Dog Psychology Centre? Or are these questions I shouldn't ask?
  16. Someone earlier in the thread said, I think, that jumping is a training issue not a breed trait. This is not a view shared by anyone who owns a wheaten terrier.
  17. A 20 year old could well be qualified. Or could be a 30 year old who looks 15, I know a few of those. Haha. I think I'll stick to the grooming table on my back porch.
  18. I don't think the objectors know the difference between a wild rabbit and a pet rabbit. As to LDH, $20,000 would be spare change for them, surely?
  19. If there's anyone who looks younger than 20, there's no way I'd take a dog there. Every single groomer should be qualified and who exactly will be running the hydrotherapy pool? A qualified canine physio?
  20. If I could have dogs with the same personalities as Grumpy and Mini, I'd have lots more. They were perfectly matched. Mini was submissive in the things Grumpy cared about and cheeky with the things he didn't. I doubt I'd have more than three dogs at a time in reality.
  21. Not sure what that means Anyway, was the dog there to see the vet? Could have been a health issue that was causing the dog to act like that. That they buy into the rubbish claims oodle breeders go on about? The majority of them are neurotic and hyperactive, such unpleasant dogs. I've yet to meet one that I like other than one cav/poodle I housesat a couple years back. And it was in for a general checkup, but it was obviously not a dog with good nerve. That's as much a generalisation as the one used by the oodle brigade that all purebred dogs are inbred and going to die of heritable diseases.
  22. I know someone who rescued a puppy (an actual rescue not an "adoption") that looked just like that. A year later it was the size of an Irish wolfhound.
  23. I was going to see a Will Smith movie some years ago (don't remember the name) and a friend said, 'Don't, it has a dog scene.' So I didn't.
