Oh, and I don't have a 'purpose built dog yard' either and am thus a failure as a dog owner.
-
Nope, don't use anything like that. I've had some leaves composting so they've probably got into that.

Vet tomorrow. Bunny threw up again. From the looks of the vomit, it's dirt, grass and something crunchy. Oh, and they've destroyed some insulation on my hot water service. Oh, and they keep licking and chewing the new crates. Maybe they're poisoning themselves on the powder coating. #,][^#%$&@!!!! Puppies!

Why? Can't leave puppies inside as they are in full destructo mode atm. Can't leave them crated because they can't hold on for hours on end. Can't leave them outside because apparently that's bad, too.

Well, now I feel bad.

Has anyone used a doggy doorbell? Considering these as Roo now seems to be going to the back door. I found a wee right next to the door so potentially one of them went to the door and I didn't notice. Roo did tap at the door this morning and I heard it because I was in the kitchen. http://www.pebblesmart.com/Pages/default.aspx Ideally I want a doggy door insert in the sliding door but the drop from the back door to outside is already 15 cm so with a rise of 5 cm, which is what most of them come with, it's a bit high.

We went for a walk with Diva and one of her borzoi! Bunny was very well behaved up to the point where she did a poo inside.
-
They're both very bright and playful. Oh and make it THREE times Roo has woken up and gone outside without me needing to say a word. Good boy!

Ditto.

Ugh ugh ugh. Puppies have been eating something they shouldn't. Both have thrown up. No dinner tonight.

I don't think its so much PC as allergies, cultural and religious sensitivities.
-
I'm all for it but it wouldn't be possible in many workplaces, including mine.

I've just been changing them over to Advance Puppy and don't particularly like the poo, which ooey gooey. Bunny threw up her breakfast in the car going to meet Diva for a walk. So eeeewww. Plus Roo was howling again when I got home. Hope he wasn't doing that all the time we were gone.

Omigod, must share. The puppies were asleep in their lounge crates, doors open, and I didn't notice Roo get up. He walked around through the kitchen to go to the back door. I still didn't notice. Then HE CAME TO GET ME! !!!

I stopped water after 10.00 last night not long before we went to bed. Roo is a bit of a water fiend, though. I thought 8.00 sounded very early to stop water access. They're waking me up around 4-5 at the moment and Bunny is not pleased when I put her back to bed. If they can settle on 5-5.30 that is good for work as I start at 7-7.30. My neighbour tells me she heard Roo whimpering and crying yesterday while I was out with Bunny. I said to ignore it. He won't be doing it the whole time I'm gone because he'll end up going to sleep. One day next week I'll be putting them outside for the whole day to see what happens.

Question: what do people think of limiting puppy water intake at night? I've been reading the K9Pro blog and Steve limits water after 8 pm to stop puppies having a full bladder at night. In other news, for the third time in a week I have to wash my sneakers as I've stepped in poo at night. To put a positive spin on it, at least it was outside.

My pups don't mooch. A collar or lead on one means tug of war. It was Roo's turn to stay at home today. Bunny had a walk with another kerry then she had a little grooming done. The big one for today was that we went into the city as I had to go to the post office. People walked past her and completely ignored her. #miffed a couple of ladies stopped and coo-ed but mostly it was just people walking past. I snuck her into the PO and didn't pick up a parcel in case they noticed her. She did very well given it was a totally new situation and she's a bit of a scaredy pup atm.

Thought I'd update. Miss Bunny went for her first walk as a big vaccinated girl. Just around the block. She was uncertain but she focussed on me and got lots of treats. Tomorrow we're walking with another dog and Sunday, we're hopefully going to a dog show. Roo and I have started puppy school. He's being fairly blonde at the moment and takes much more time to get things than Roo does. Yesterday we went to Pet Barn, Best Friends and Lincraft, the latter of which had the staff fawning over him. It was his trim to visit my work today, too, and he basked in adoration.

Think of the positives!

True, then they become teenagers and frustrate even more!

I'll have a look, ta!

11 weeks and two days! Thanks for that note of hang on, only a baby. He does actually go when I get him outside. It's just frustrating, as you can imagine. When I read your post I gave myself a 'This is why you got tiles' smack over the head. On a bright note, they are going in their lounge crates voluntarily today. Roo has a hissy about being in there but settles down almost immediately. Bunny has been having a ZOMG! WHAT IS THAT THING! barky meltdown at the vacuum cleaner which I left at the back door. Now I've put the hose away she's calmed down but now Roo is attacking it. I'm having trouble not laughing at them.

In other news, Bunny went for her first walk today. We walked around the block. She was very good, though a bit unsure of herself. My first dog that walks on a loose lead! That's pretty exciting! She kept her attention on me most of the time and got lots of treats. We're going for a walk with another kerry blue tomorrow and might try a dog show on Saturday. Mr Roo visited my work where he was cuddled and universally admired.
